Is there a ZERO star option? These are the most unprofessional people I've ever worked with in 37 years of life. They were contracted by the Borough to plow my neighborhood and plowed down my mailbox several months ago. I know it was them as several other mailboxes were knocked down on my street that same day. 6 months later, they are telling me they are not responsible to fix it. Not my ideal solution, but the issue is more that they took this long to come to that conclusion and then one of their managers, MARY, hung up on me on the phone when i called to ask why. I was more than patient and courteous throughout this process over the past few months and cannot believe how rude to me she was. I am not a belligerent or impolite person, so it says so much more about them than it does me. I hope karma causes this company to fail miserably. They are a disgrace to all of the good contractors in the Valley. Literally choose ANYONE ELSE. They SUUUUCCCCKKKK.

If I could leave zero stars I would. The borough has these jokers contracted for our neighborhood for all road maintenance. There are problems every year. Last year, the guy plowing made a game out of destroying several trash cans in the neighborhood and when I called to see what could be done about my mangled trash can (which was 3’ into my driveway on trash day) the chick at the front desk was the most unprofessional person I’ve probably ever had the displeasure of speaking with. She was laughing and so incredibly condescending. The borough had to come out and take pictures and take statements. This year, they are at it again leaving huge berms at the end of everyone’s already shoveled driveways so we have to shovel again if we want to get out without packing a bunch of snow down. Can we just get rid of these clowns already??? Please!?!?

Pathetic excuse for a contractor! They claim they are always trying to improve and want feedback, but have hundreds of complaints lodged with the Matsu borough over their ridiculously horrible snow plowing performance. Trash cans destroyed, mail boxes destroyed, ice berms left across driveways, roads not plowed several days after storms, roads left glare ice with no sand/gravel/scarifying. A petition is currently circulating to demand the borough EXLUDE FICKLIN from snow removal bids in the future. Would give ZERO STARS if I could.

Absolutely terrible service. The borough contracted them to redo our road and its worst then when it was washed out with giant pot holes. Plus they left a 6" cut in everyone's driveway.

Ficklin Construction did an excellent job from start to finish on our new lake house retirement dream home.Having lived in the construction world for decades and having been a subcontractor, I will tell you these folks are great!, from the very professional and friendly office staff to the very efficient and friendly field equipment operators, wood framers, and laborers.They also employ what I witnessed as only excellent subcontractors.Their contracts and change orders were very explicit and reasonable and the entire job went smooth.I highly recommend these guys for anyone's construction needs.Jim Gallagher

I used Ficklin construction LLC to add a 900 SQ. FT. addition to my home in the Big Lake area, I was referred to Ficklin Construction LLC from a dear friend who had used them in the past with a+ results. I was impressed with timely and productive nature of there staffs work, everything was clean and neat. they out performed my expectation's and I would refer them to any one.

Called and scheduled an appointment 2 weeks out. They ultimately rescheduled it 2 day prior to the new appointment and I had to jump through hoops to make it work for my schedule, just for them to cancel the appointment 30 min prior saying they are full for the season and lied about the reason. The lady was really rude and refused to give any referrals to another company or to even come out and do a basic estimate for services.2nd time trying to deal with this company for work in the big lake area...watchout!

Ficklin Construction remodeled my house by adding a second floor via house lift. My foundation was failing and I had the oppertunity to lift my home, doubling my sq footage at a very resonable price. The crew was proffesional, with a quality product and actually finished early on their timeline that they quoted me. I would stongly suggest Ficklin construction for any constuction needs I run into in the future. I will be using them for my snow removal & sanding needs this year for my comercial lots and my home.This is the first time I have had any contractor beat their timeline and keep their budget at the quoted amount.

Buyer BEWARE! We have watched Dear friends go through hell. From thinking they were building their retirement home to living a true hell!! Poor quality, poor value, not professional, not responsive, not on time, etc, etc....We have watched and listened to the financial and emotional strain on these great people. Anyone considering this company, reconsider, do your homework and GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!!
