Stopped in for lunch last summer, had an amazing meal with even more amazing views. Booked a 3 day get-away retreat from civilization for this summer.Room was very comfortable, but the whole place is very noise. Voices in the hall sound like they are right in my room with me, water noises from all surrounding rooms, and had to listen to the couple next door “gettin’ busy” (all of about 30-45 second of it anyway😂).Upon arrival I was saddened to learn the restaurant is closed permanently. I had a nice conversation with the owner Angela who explained wrestling with the decision to shut down food service here. I totally understand her decision and would have made the same decision were I the owner. And, I must say, even if I had advanced notice the restaurant was closed, I’d have still booked my room anyway. On the upside, the closure forced me to other establishments in town, delightful places filled with equally delightful locals and visitors alike. I got to experience more of Seldovia than I would have otherwise.

The accommodations were clean and welcoming, great for a family. Everyone at the establishment was friendly and helpful, and had tons of recommendations on how to get the most out of our stay. The food was GREAT, and they even offered vegan options, which is usually a tough thing to find in tiny towns. Overall, we had an amazing time, and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Expensive and not much of a taste and small portions like the fishes are a scarce commodity imported from the other side of the world. What a big disappointment the food was. I visited many fishermen villages around the world (including Albania, India, Russia or poorest Bangladesh) and I must congratulate this place it is the worst. I doubt the quality of the food and would not recommend to eat here. I however found villagers very helpful and warm welcoming which makes me sad to write a bad review but next time I will take snacks and bites with me out of Homer. 2 stars because I had to add one star for a nice terrace seating with a view overlooking the area. So maybe good for a stop to have a beer but with your own food.

This place is a slice of heaven, in heaven on earth! The hotel has everything you need! Coffee, bar, restaurant, golf cart rentals, and a gift shop next door. There is also a more private house you can stay in not connected to the hotel. Some rooms are even dog friendly! It’s location is perfect and the food is amazing! We love winding down in our cozy room after a day fishing and exploring.

Lovely hotel, and the main hotel game in town. :)Had a charming guest artist doing live music while we stayed. Food is good and the rooms are plenty serviceable.Extra shout-out to Angela (?) the manager running the inn: the day we checked out my wife caught a cold, it was pouring rain outside, and our boat wouldn't depart till 3pm. She let us stay in our room for 4-5 extra hours as we rested inside -- super grateful that they delayed our leave until so late, we appreciate it so much!

I thoroughly enjoyed my restful stay at the Boardwalk Hotel in Seldovia, Alaska. My room overlooked the small boat harbor, with breathtaking views of snow-covered peaks. Although the room was a wee bit small, it was perfectly adequate for one or two persons. I would be remiss if I did not issue a compliment to the wonderful staff at the Boardwalk Hotel. They were just re-opening, following the pandemic and starting with 2021 tourist season. The staff were very friendly and attentive and worked hard to accommodate the needs of guests. I would recommend the Boardwalk to those who want to experience a sleepy, beautiful little fishing village. The people are friendly and seem to care about each other, which is something one doesn't always get to witness in a larger community.

We stopped in for lunch. Amazing food. Sitting on the deck on a sunny day was perfect looking out at the harbor. My blueberry mojito was super yummy too. I had a burger, kids had the popcorn chicken and hubby had the fish and chips. The breading on the chicken and fish was perfect.

We were engaged here in 2002 (before the remodel) and recently came back to this lovely city. We didn't stay in the hotel as we needed a kitchen, but came here several times for meals and coffee. They did a great job remodeling - we could hardly believe it was the same place. The food was excellent, especially the seafood chowder. Both the salmon and rockfish sandwiches were awesome too. I especially loved that they had healthy options for the kids menus, instead of just fries.

Their food is so good!!! They provided awesome service. A huge group of us had gotten off a tour boat and all had the same idea to go eat lunch here. There was minimal staff and they did such a fantastic job serving everyone and making really good food and good drinks! Definitely eat here! 💜

The best Chicken Bacon Avocado Melt of my life....soups were great too. The view from the deck was amazing! So glad that we ate here. Live music was even playing on the village green practically next door. Great lunch break.

We were there in Seldovia for the day, we stopped in to get lunch and a drink...we were not greeted at the door and did not know if we were supposed to be seated or seat ourselves. We had to ask and were told to pick a table. We sat at the table for 15 minutes but no one came over to our table. We decided that in order to make our cruise ship back we would go elsewhere. No one acknowledged us leaving either. Their food looked and smelled good, typical pub food. And the view was amazing.

I'm not sure what to put...It looked like a nice place, but my wife and I sat down, got menus and water, and sat for 30 minutes with no one taking our order. We understand tourist season in small towns and would have just happily waited but we had a boat to catch.

This was a nice place. Reasonable prices. $6.50 wine and $7 beer selections. Food was excellent. We recommend this place! Good service. Free wifi which is great since our phones didn’t work at all in Seldovia.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Boardwalk in the winter time. The room was clean and quaint and had a great coastal vibe. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay while they are visiting Seldovia. My only complaint is the walls are thin so this can be a bit troubling during the evening but hey its an old building. Overall great visit.

Standard bar fare. Dining on the deck overlooking the harbor with mountain view is the way to go. When the cruise ship comes in the place is overloaded and the staff hustle to serve everyone quickly. During slow times I saw the waitress sunbathing on a blanket on the grass. That's the laid-back Seldovia culture.

Very tasty lunch at the Boardwalk Hotel. It was expensive, but great. And honestly, this is Alaska, so it wasn't even all that expensive by comparison. It was classy, gourmet-style versions of your usual ham and swiss, Italian melt, etc.

Unfortunately, the cons outweighed the pros for our visit here. The service was very, very slow and the food was hit and miss. Sandwiches were good, soup not so much. We will choose somewhere else next time.

Excellent hotel to stay at in Seldovia for 2 or 3 nights rather than going over on a day boat taxi then having to leave back to Homer at 4PM the same day. Lots of birding and nature viewing, great beaches, fishing, huge tides, wonderful restaurants, a pretty town! The Boardwalk Hotel food is delicious, the rooms nice and clean, and the staff are the friendliest. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Best hotel in Seldovia. Overlooks the harbor where you can watch sea otters play in the harbor. The time lapses were filmed in the room and outside on the deck if their restaurant.
