Walkable town from the docks, taking about 10-15 minutes. Watch out for the strong winds (worse than San Francisco) and the rain if any. There should be a 5 dollar shuttle moving between town and the docks too, probably best to check at the docks.

Beautiful port but usually quite windy. 10 minute walk into town from the port with lots of great dining and shopping. Really enjoyed our day here!

Low key, easy place to walk through. I enjoyed the history of the place and the low stress atmosphere. Ate great fish and chips at the BBQ Pit and bought some funky boots at the Loom!

Such a neat little town to kill time in while waiting for your boat. Lots of shops and places to eat. Most everything is on (or just off) the main drag, so it's an easy walk to visit most everywhere. The town really comes alive when the cruise ships are in Port. Don't worry about arriving too early for you departure... Plenty to do to kill time

The White Pass train is amazing, Emerald Lake do not miss! Yukon had wilderness wildlife, even a bear hanging out on the side of the mountain as we rode by. Town is small about 800 locals. Make sure to see it all! Do not forget the Puppies!!!!!!!!

Most beautiful port that we visited on our Alaskan cruise. Very quaint town with a unique history. We took the Skagway Street Car Tour and had a blast.

One of the coolest towns i have been to. So much history about the gold rush. The most important thing to do here is the train. Book it through your ship to make sure u don't get left behind. Town is about 6blocks so make sure you do a tour to see the sights as you can't go wrong with whatever you do here..

Friendly people and easy to get around. All the basic jewelry sellers and excursions... Not high pressure sales like in the Caribbean ports. Alaskan T-Shirt company was a very nice change of pace, with inexpensive souvenirs and good quality t-shirts. The short river walk is relaxing and informative with signs and pictures along the way.

It would appear first in first serve, what I mean is our vessel was able to pull along side a unload passengers by the gangway yet other ships had to use dories to transport passengers back and forward.

Little bit walk from port to downtown... All the way you can enjoy the magnificant view.. You gonna past the park where people fishing, and the railway for the White pass Youkon route.. Once you arrive in the town, there are so many gift shop.. You can also enjoy ice cream while roaming the town or a bag of pop corn on your hand. They also have Sturbuck, Phillipin restaurant and Thai restaurant for who love asian food... Such a lovely place to enjoy Alaska.. 😊

We did the train ride on the white pass Yukon and it was amazing. First you take a bus there. On the bus we saw mountain goats and a young bear along the side of the road. On the train you will see the most beautiful views, a tunnel, and waterfalls. Great views. Must do.
