Marvin Ortiz & Fernando repaired my roof because it had a leak and rain water dropped into my doorway during the recent rains. They arrived on-time were friendly, professional and answered all of my questions. Antonio Ramirez, Jesus Espinoza, Vasquez and Ramon Santiago helped them later in the day to complete the roof repair and clean the surrounding area that had been dirtied by debris.They showed me what was completed before they left. I also took my own picture afterwards. The roof looked great. The part that was repaired looked similar to the rest of the roof that was not repaired. The shingles were slightly darker.They did a great job!

Provided competitive estimate and detailed work scope. The job was scheduled fairly far out, but the start date didn’t slip due to the recent rains. The job was finished in a day and a half with only a very modest change order to replace some plywood. All discarded materials were packed and hauled off. The cleanup was immaculate.

It was time to finally tackle our roofs. We ended up contacting Roof Repair Specialists because our neighbor had used them and she recommended them. We had 3 areas-main house, studio and garage roofs that need repairing/replacing.As mentioned in the other reviews, Serge was very professional, thorough and knowledgeable. We liked that he took photos, vids of his inspection and pointed out the problem areas. I personally liked that Serge used a moisture gizmo that indicated that in some of the problem areas there was still moisture trapped (This was in May in LA!) He also took his time to thoroughly explain the repair materials being used and how the installment process would work. We had a choice of roof colors and went with the terracotta which complemented the terracotta tiles. I almost forgot to mention we also needed a skylight replaced and RRS was able to do that as well. The whole process-minus the skylight, which had to be ordered-took about 5-6 days. There was an on-site project manager each day that the crew was here. There were a couple hiccups with our communication expectations on the first day, but that was easily resolved. The RRS crew were all uniformed, respectful of where they parked and cleaned-up after themselves every day. About a week and half after the roofs were finished the skylight was installed and only took about an hour. Remarkable.We would also like to mention that all of the “office” staff were responsive, knowledgeable and very accommodating.RRS pricing was as expected and with the tutorial of what would be involved, seeing the installation team in action, excellent customer service and the beautiful end results…lets just say you get what you pay for.Services: Skylight repair, Roof repair, Skylight installation, Roof damage repair

I live in an older Spanish-style flat roof house. These older home are not very energy efficient. The temperature would be around 10 degrees warmer than the outside during the warm months and at times it would be unbearable.We contacted insulation companies for attic insulation and roofing companies to possibly add more roof vents. Long story short, Roof Repair Specialist offered the best possible solutions to reduce the heating. I worked with Areg. He gave me different options. His suggestions included a new cool roof, new roof vents, and Isoboard, a form of roofing insulation. I did some research and the suggestions were right on. They were the only company that suggested Isoboard so I knew they were knowledgeable. Our roof was near the end of its lifetime so we decided to do all three options. I had a good experience working with Areg. I contacted him several times throughout the process and he answered my questions and addressed my concerns each time.The process itself went smoothly. They handled the permits and inspection. It was not a major disruption during the tear down and installation. They even finished a day early.Alvaro was our site manager. He gave updates during the process and honored our requests (we asked him cover openings and holes after the tear down because we used to have rats in the attic). In the end, he gave his card and said we can call him directly if we have any problems with the roof. I thought that was good customer service because he worked at our site personally and we wouldn't have to go through customer service.To be upfront, their estimate for just the roof was on the higher end. And the cost ended up higher because there was some damage they found when they pulled up the old roof (documented with pictures) and they charge by the foot (which is in the contract). But I think there is always a trade-off between price and quality/quality of experience. You just have to do your due diligence and determine where you lie on that spectrum. Even though we were up to the limit in our budget, I think we made a good decision. There have only been a few really hot days since the installation, but we notice the difference with the new roof (and attic insulation). Now it's consistently at least 5 degrees cooler in our house than the outside.Services: Roof installation, Attic venting installation

I've used Roof Repair Specialists on two houses and again for repairs after some tiles were broken by our solar company. Their staff is absolutely the best. They are always on time and do magnificent work. The only thing I didn't like the first time we used them was the payment system. They even fixed that now using quick books. I was able to pay no problem! They just keep getting better. I highly recommend them for any roofing issues!

Alvaro and his crew did an excellent and thoroughly professional job on our new roof. Each worker clearly took pride in their work: the site was neatened up everyday and each guy was cordial and responsive. When you get on the roof and look at all the details--especially where water might sneak in over time--you see that the crew has paid special attention to each of those stress points.We have a 1927 Spanish-style house with original tiles on the sloped portion of the roof, and some tiles had been damaged. The striking thing was that these guys replaced the broken vintage tiles with tiles that were impossible to distinguish from the originals. (Contemporary tiles would have stood out.) To us that says it all--real craftsmanship.The other staff that we communicated over the course of the job--the Sales Manager, Areg, and Stacey in Customer Service--were equally excellent. There was a long delay in starting, but that was due to the lengthy process of getting city permits.To sum up: we cannot recommend this company highly enough.Service: Roof installation

We hired Roof Repair Specialist to replace our entire roof. Our experience started with Serge who did a thorough inspection of our roof. He made a presentation with pictures and video of my roof and even did a magnification or sections of my roof that were worn out. He went over the warranties from both manufacturer and Roof Repair Specialists as well. He had the materials on hand to be able to look and feel. We were sure that based on the presentation the cost was going to be over the roof. Lol We did get two additional quotes and they were the middle price. We went with Roof Repair Specialists based on the presentation and the reviews from previous customers even though they were not the cheapest. We are extremely happy we chose Roof Repair Specialists. We had the best experience from start to finish. The job was done this perfection and my neighbors even gave it a great review. If I ever get a chance to refer them I will do it in a heartbeat. Everyone I spoke to or interacted with were all professional and courteous. I highly recommend giving them a call to get your quote on the same day of inspection. (This saga has a happy ending.) A year ago, I had a leak repaired on a small balcony. Once this rainy season began, the leak returned; since the job was still under warranty, I asked for a re-repair, one that worked. An inspector came and said the problem was an opening beneath the threshold of the French doors at the balcony. A return visit was scheduled; he resealed the opening. It rained again, and it leaked again. Another visit was scheduled; this time, the problem was identified as an opening at the *corners of the threshold, which hadn't been fully sealed. The corners were sealed ; it rained again; it leaked again. Alvaro, the head of quality control, came to inspect. He punched some holes in the roof to trace the water, which led him to locate a rafter -- not on the balcony, but adjacent to it -- whose molding had disintegrated. I'd never noticed that, nor had I thought to connect it to the leak. But by then he needed to go off to other appointments. He came back the next day, a Saturday, to caulk the rafter. It rained the following week; my heart sank when it leaked. Alvaro returned, and this time he removed the light fixture from the ceiling of the room beneath the balcony, and he found the source of the latest leak: a residual cup of water that had filled the fixture's bracket before the rafter had been caulked. He dried and re-affixed the bracket. It rained again. No leak! I am so impressed by Alvaro's persistence. He told me that my mysterious recurring leak had kept him up at night, and he was as happy as I was to have figured it out. Roof Repair SpecialistAfter meeting with a few roofing companies while searching for a roof replacement on our rental property, we chose the Roof Repair Specialists to do the job.Mr. Cruz, the sales representative, was very thorough in explaining the entire job from start to finish and offered different options to suit our budget. One of the key points that we were interested in was the 25 year warranty they offered on the install (the manufactures warranty on the roofing material is 50 years!), the promise that the job would be supervised from start to finish, and that they would handle all the required city permits (though permit fees were in addition to the price estimate).The cost of the job was very similar to other bids we received.The crew got the job done in just a few days and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards.We received progress updates on a regular basis from Julio, the gentleman in charge of the project.Although this was a major job, it was quick, painless, and reassuring to know that it was done properly. First they sent Scott out to do a general assessment. Scott was very friendly and walked us through everything needing to be done. They then sent a detailed estimate. Once we signed off they had a crew here in a week. The repairs took 2 days and the workers were very thorough and answered all questions I had. The process was extremely easy. Met with their rep and sat down and discussed what we wanted and needed. Serge our rep was extremely easy to deal with and handled all of my requests in a timely and thoughtful manner. Onsite pre-inspections were a breeze and informative. The company does a fantastic job in guiding you through the whole process and what to expect each step of the job. On site crews were extremely friendly and very professional. Each day they cleaned the area as if they weren't there the whole day. Each and every point of contact from the sales rep, project coordinator to the installers was fantastic. It truly is nice to see a company that takes pride in their people and it shows in how they interact with you. The quality of detail of the new roof installed was fantastic. The price of the work I had done was within reason and there were no surprises when I got the final bill. I would highly recommend Roof Repair Specialist's.I’d like to amend my above review. I lowered my rating by a star because I had Roof Repair Specialists come back and install gutters on my house. Assuming everything would run without a hitch like the roof install. My mistake. You know what they say about assuming. I am pretty disappointed with this process so far. Production had some hiccup in actually receiving my order and scheduling it. What should’ve taken a week took 2. Fine, problems happen. I finally got a call to schedule my install last Friday for the following Monday between 8-9am. The installer never shows. No call. I wait to call the office around 9:15 figuring maybe traffic delay and I’m asked if they can give me a call right back. 9:43 I get a call back and they have to reschedule because the tech called in sick. No one in the office seemed to be aware or even bothered to inform me. Seems fishy to me, regardless this aspect of Roof Repair Specialist isn’t run as well as the roof install went. This company was easy to work with. They have a hierarchy of levels and people you don't in most smaller construction companies. This made their job flow easier. My confusion was that the actual workers did not communicate with me..Regarding start, finish and completion times. The main office seemed to know when I finally figured out who to call. They completed quickly.I'm not sure about how well the work is because we haven't had rain again to see if the leaks are fixed. Fingers crossed.They didn't complain about just doing repair and didn't do a hard sell on a new roof. That was nice. Price ok a bit more than I expected .

SCAMMERS! Don't not use this company at any cost. They're the typical liars who will tell you everything you want to hear and be professional at the beginning to get your money. However, once you pay them you'll have a hard time getting a response from them for any follow up work unless you are willing to pay again.We contracted them to do maintenance and repair work for leaks at our townhome complex back in February of this year. Of course, they were super nice and prompt with scheduling, responding, and sending out a team to inspect and complete the work. Several weeks later it rained and several units discovered that a few leaks still remained. We immediately contacted their office and scheduled for a team to return to make the additional repairs.The problem is that team never showed up. We've spent months calling at least 20-30 times and sending countless emails to the office and have largely been ignored. For the times they do respond, they continually half heartedly tried to schedule for someone to return to inspect the property but never committed to any set dates. Even when something was scheduled, it was cancelled at the last minute or the person never showed up. Finally 5 months after contacting them, someone did come out to inspect the areas again and said they would return the following week to make the repairs. It's been 2 weeks since that empty promise was made and still the office has refused to commit to helping.I have filed a complaint with the BBB because nobody should have to go through what we are.
