Semper Solaris is one of those no-nonsense companies that does not use high-pressure sales techniques to sell you things you don’t need. They are honest, professional, and do everything they can to get you the best possible price. I had them install my solar system over five years ago and never have I had a problem with any of their work or the components. Working with David Bell, one of their energy consultants, was a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend Semper Solaris! They installed a new heat pump (heat/AC) & entire HVAC system, replaced our roof, and will be installing solar panels and gutters shortly. Such a professionally run company, from the salesperson to the customer service staff to the installation teams. Service and materials are top notch! The process was super well organized from beginning to end - great communication and follow-through, and they did exactly what they said they would do. The charges ended up being exactly what the contract said, except for a couple minor unforeseeable additions discovered after the work started. The installers were all courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and great at what they do. All crews cleaned up at the end of every working day. Even our next-door neighbor says he wishes all companies were this professional. This company goes above and beyond to offer quality products and excellent customer service. Bonus - they offer solar panels that are made in the USA!UPDATE: Solar panels have now been installed, and everything went smoothly. Same great service as from Semper Solaris's other departments. They got the system turned on quickly and even expedited the inspection. Very happy!

Roland was honest, reliable, on time, answered all my questions and had my job completed in less then a month. What I really appreciated most about Roland was he came to my house and right away gave me my options as to buying, financing or leasing and all the different prices. He didn’t waste my time. He was straight up and honest with me. Every time I have a question, Semper Solaris gets back to me within 24 hours. They did a great job, and cleaned up after themselves when the job was completed. I just received my true up bill for the year and had an $82.00 credit.

So far I’m still uncertain about the cost of the package I got. I spent a decent amount of money and my payment will be more than I’d like to pay for electricity.However, and I understand it, pricing is comparable, if not better, than the same package from any other reputable company.With all of that said…Genevieve Johnson was easy to talk to, down to earth, knowledgeable and candid (much appreciated). She has the type of personality I’d rather have as a friend than a salesperson! She made me feel comfortable with my decision. She also made me feel comfortable with my doubts and questions - where some reps, consultants, sales folks make you feel ignorant or silly for feeling the way you do or asking the things you do. I never felt that way with Genevieve. My every thought seemed to be treated with interest and respect and that is worth a premium in itself.I felt that the installation process itself could have been done more efficiently with regard to time, and there were some items (incidental damage to stucco) that needed to be repaired afterwards which made things drag out further.However, each individual that I dealt with under the Semper Solaris umbrella was courteous and respectful.So far the high point of my experience so far has absolutely been Genevieve, and the low point has been waiting for PTO (which is ludicrous if you ask me).I’m looking forward to never paying another dime to the electric company!

From the get-go, Genevieve was so friendly and helpful in walking us through our solar options, the state of the industry in CA, and the Semper Solaris process! Glorious Mistakes

For the very first time ever, we had central air installed in our home in March of 2022. At the same time we had our heating ducts replaced and a new energy efficient heating system installed. What a difference!Our house smells so much better with the new ducts, and the system we got is effective and quiet.This was a big step for us, and Genevieve was great. She talked to us about prices, what bells and whistles we needed vs what was a luxury. We have a modest home in Mira Mesa, but she treated us like VIPS.The installation crew was respectful and got their work done in two days. We've had our system for almost a year and a half, and it's amazing, the difference it's made in our comfort levels and our energy costs. I had my first system installed by Palomar Solar in 2016. They were great in the beginning. Earlier this year, I needed to add more panels and batteries to my system. I called them and they said the salesman (Adam) would call me back. He called me the same day, but I was busy. I texted home to call me back and he never did. I called the company and the receptionist Liz stayed the Adam would call me. I told her that it’s had been three days and he didn’t call me back. That’s why I was calling the company. She told me that she would escalate it to management and expect a call/reply in about a week. Never heard anything. Mark Semper Solaris was detailed, attentive to my needs. He answered every question I had and was straight forward with the facts and pricing!!!! Thanks again Mark and Semper Solaris with your service and looking out for the military!!!!

Semper Solaris did a great job replacing our roof. Project leader Christian was great, his team did an excellent job demo'ing the old roof and getting the new one installed right before a huge rain storm and everything inside stayed dry during the storm. Christian made sure we always knew when they were coming, when there was a change in plans and checked with us to make sure we were satisfied with things.

My experience with Semper Solaris was highly professional starting at setting up the appt, to technician showings up on time and fixing our AC unit. Everything was explained clearly, the unit works properly now and the technician gave us some tips on how to make sure our unit runs properly for the long haul. Big thumbs up!

Christian, the roofing foreman, did a great job. He took care of all of our concerns regarding both pre-install questions, as well as our post-install problems. The team that took the old roof off, and put the new one on, did a great job. They were very nice and considerate to both us and our yard! Every day they cleaned up before leaving. The new roof looks great. We had a rough time with getting permits from the city, causing us a seven month delay from the time that we contracted to put the roof on, until the actual time the roof was put on. I do feel that Semper Solaris could have done more to help in that regard. They were slow in responding to the city of La Mesa's requests. I even contacted the city building department myself to see what the problems were. We had to have our solar removed before the roof could be put on. The solar team were very poor in communicating to the roofing team. That caused a number of problems that could have been resolved sooner if only they talked to each other. They have been very slow in putting the solar panels back on as well. It will be a month from the time the roof was finished, to the time the panels are to be replaced. Again, there should be better communication between the two departments.

Yes, Semper Solaris is as GOOD as it gets! We had been considering solar for quite some time and had, had presentations by at least 3 or 4 other companies. Earlier this year, a good friend of ours introduced us to Semper Solaris as their company for the system they have had for over a year and they couldn't recommend them more highly.We contacted their salesperson Hayden Nix and he was the most knowledgeable of any that we had seen or spoken to. He took time to make sure all my questions were answered and went out of his way to help me understand why an American made Sunpower system while not the least expensive is the best for quality, reliability and return on investment.Like any large scale project we had a few bumps along the way, however everyone at Semper we dealt with was excellent, (true 5 star service) and their goal was to make sure we were happy in all aspects of the project from start to completion. They went out of their way going above and beyond to take care of everything to our complete satisfaction and make those bumps however slight they were disappear. The care and professionalism they exhibited was beyond what I could hope to have expected. Their quality of their installation is amazing. I have many neighbors who have solar and not a one of them looks as good as my installed system from the layout of pipes to the solar and electrical panels to stucco and paint repair they simply did a beautiful job from rip up to clean up they are superb. Special mention and thanks to Veronica, Kim, Russell, George, Alex and Patrick. Semper is very fortunate to have these people on their team!If your even only just starting to think about going solar, don't go any farther without putting this veteran owned and America 1st company and their pride and care for what they do up for your consideration, I simply cannot recommend them more highly!

Our solar project took right around 1 year to complete from the first meeting until actual hook up with SDGE. All of the actual installation labor was phenomenal. The labor guys were great and did their job quickly and with great quality. We had a new roof installed, a panel upgrade from 100 amp service to 200 amp service and 43 panels installed. The issue we had was how long it took the administrative side of the house to get everything approved through the city and how long it took them to get us actually turned on with SDGE. If you're looking at solar as a possibility, I would say it's not worth it. Our average monthly bill before solar was about $450 a month for gas and light with our highest bill being about $1000. Our bill now fluctuates, but is still $300-$700 a month just for electricity with all the extra charges SDGE charges that we were never notified about during the process. On top of that, our monthly for the loan we took for all the work is $585 a month. Do your research before purchasing solar panels.

When we decided to get solar, a friend recommended Semper Solaris. He could only say good things about his installed solar system.All my questions and the installation process from start to finish was explained by Roland. The quote was comparable to others! Roland gave me his cell number for me to call with any questions or concerns. The calls and texts were answered quickly.Alberto did our site assessment and it was decided what circuit breakers would be powered by my back up battery. I was told my circuit breaker panel would have to be replaced per SDG+E. SDG+E came out and confirmed my "Federal Pacific Stab-Lok panel" because Stab-Lok has lost there UL rating.Ivan replaced the circuit breaker in 4 hours. The stuccoer came the next day. After the stucco was applied he painted around the panel and you could not tell the panel had been replaced.Eddie, a Veteran was the lead man on the install showed up with his crew to put up the panels. I asked if the wiring for the system could go through the attic rather than on the outside walls. No problem!The 12 panels, one back up battery, conduit, wire and control boxes in one day.Eddy came back and hooked up WIFI tothe Enphase system.Thank you Semper Solaris!!As a homeowner and a Veteran, I highly recommend Semper Solaris. OORAH!!
