I’ve worked with Or Schwartz and his crew on remodeling our bathroom. They’ve done a fantastic job, and I will continue using them for future projects (this is our second major project with Or’s crew). I find their work to be competitively priced, and in both jobs they’ve done for us the budget has never ballooned unexpectedly - the initially agreed upon amount stays. I’m happy with the outcome - I think it looks great, and the workmanship feels solid. While some minor things needed a few passes after project completion, and we’ve had few schedule hiccups along the way, Or and his crew were communicative, and would proactively come back to iron out the kinks to ensure they delivered quality work. Most importantly it’s really easy to communicate with Or - he has my interests in mind, always easy to reach, and doesn’t cut corners. I rest easy knowing that they behind their work - based on my past experience I know Or will be available long after the job is done with any questions or concerns.The foreman for the project, Antonio, knows his craft and was also very helpful. He made a number of recommendations throughout the project, and saved me from making some mistakes in requirements (e.g. I can do X, but you probably don’t want it because of Y). He also had suggestions for certain materials that will look better than what I initially had it mind. I appreciate the crew treating the project like their own.The crew was respectful to my house, not making an excessive mess, and leaving the project in broom condition. I was comfortable giving the workers code to my house and having them come and go as they needed to.I recommend working with Or, Antonio, and their crew.Service: Bathroom remodeling

5/5 WOW what a great and competent company to hire. Or, is a great communicator when explaining what needs to be done. He worked by phone with my sister who does flips in Colorado. They came up with a great design and finish that could be seen on HGTV. His crew showed up on time and cleaned up when they were finish. He gave me a bid and stayed with in the budget; even when we made several design changes. If you want a quality job done at a fair price ( no up charging) sonny builders is a company you should contract. Check out their website

I am a health care professional and I hired this company helping me remodel my new building . They lied about being specialized in commercial they lied about the cost and extremely over charged us for the project upfront and assigned me to buy all the product . They barely had anyone work on this project when I asked them why he keep having excuses of holiday and events or he does not want to pay staff full day wages. The fact was they had other projects and treated mine as a side one, my primary source of income was this clinic and I had to cancel on all my patients for 2 months. OR is a liar by withholding the contract and just asking for money and assigned us to buy all the material prior to start the project. Then they were never seen in the project despite all the material being Available. He is the most manipulative liar with no work ethic Please Do not waste your money and time on this unethical corrupt company. They purposely delayed give us a contract and never gave it to us once our lawyer demanded they never gave us the cost break down super deceptive .They lied about their ability on building a costume front desk. They had no skill or training for it and they destroyed a slab of marble I purchased and expensive tiles and cabinets and in the middle of project they realize they can not fix it they left it half way. I hired their recommended interior designer which made me pay her prior to project and they did not deliver the rendering of their own designer. They dictated me to buy wrong product with wrong measurements and simply said oops they are not refundable here us another link to the right one. They violated / breach the promised dead line by 2 months. Imagine be out of job/ income for these unethical negligent people. They Made us extend our lease one month and have no work place for another month while we were paying mortgage and rent at once. All in all They took advantage of our trust and charged us full cost prior to start and during and never finish the project . These people have a bad reputation and they take advantage of hard working professionals and use them as a cash flow. I do not recommend these people and please do your research prior to hiring theses scammers.

We worked with Sonny Builders to replace our floor, put in a pantry that would involve removing two doors and a window, and a bookshelf. Upon speaking with Ariel about the project, the first lie he told us was that they would only work on our project before moving to another project. That was a lie and their crew was routinely working on other jobs.On the wall opposite our new pantry was to be a bookshelf. All we wanted was a bookshelf but Ariel pushed and pressured for cabinets to be on the bottom half. We didn't want cabinets but told him that if we did cabinets, we would want glass doors and for the cabinets to go up to countertop height. The whole goal is to simply have a bookshelf to store our books and we would like to be able to see our books on the shelf, hence the glass doors. Ariel went and bought standard-height cabinets with glass doors and said he could put a 6-inch kicker on the bottom of the cabinets and a 6-inch spacer above it before the bookshelf would begin. We told him that wasn't acceptable as we would be losing a solid foot of bookshelf space. However, he already bought them and then proceeded to try and guilt us about it because he bought them and tried to guilt us and tell us we had to pay for them. He didn't charge us for them.We ended up telling him to just do our bookshelf as we requested. However, Ariel told the contractor not to do the bottom right corner the way my wife and I wanted. Ariel said we had agreed to do it the way the drawing was. We still have the drawing and it isn't even how the drawing is. We had wanted a wall with a sideboard to keep it square.We also have a gas fireplace and our previous floor had shown heat damage from the fireplace. We had discussed with Ariel that we would need something heat-rated in front of the fireplace. He agreed and said there were two possible solutions. They could use part of the countertop that would be removed to put up a wall for the pantry or they could tile that area. When it came time for them to do it, Ariel claimed we told his crew to leave a spot for the tile work that was "never agreed to". We had picked out tile with a woman named Rose who works for Ariel and Ariel claimed that moment never happened. We currently have a rectangular space with a random chunk missing on the right in front of our fireplace. So even if someone would fix it, they would have to cut a piece of flooring to fit in that spot on the right before doing the tile work. Not to mention that the flooring installed there isn't straight and would have to be fixed.They also damaged the backsplash tiling on our countertop where the counter used to be attached, when we asked them to re-grout it to the wall, he claimed it wasn't in the contract, despite it being damage to our home that they caused.When they removed the window and doors, they put up siding and painted it. However, they left approximately two boards worth of siding unpainted about 6-7 feet up. We asked when they would be coming back to finish painting it and Ariel complained that he was losing money having someone come back out to finish that. They did paint that patch but never painted around the doors they moved.We had told them we wanted wood baseboards and not particleboard. They installed particleboard that they ended up replacing. Ariel gave a guilt trip to us about losing money and never replaced the particleboard in the closet.Ariel was also really unprofessional. He routinely talked poorly of his contractors. Ariel seems to be a highly toxic and unorganized person to work with which made this project a nightmare.In summary, Sonny Builders and Ariel are not a company you want to work with. They refused to finish the work they agreed to. Or Schwartz and his work crew did a great job replacing the floors through out the house and installing new cabinets in the master bathroom and guest bathroom. They were not the lowest in cost but by far the most professional and qualified. The quality and professionalism was well worth it! They came out to do an estimate, and then came back with a very detailed estimate and let me know my options.. He went through all their certifications and how they approach the job from start to finish and how and why they do things! They were very meticulous and detailed! I hired Sonny Builders to tackle a kitchen remodel project in my house over the summer. It was a big project for my house, even though it wasn't a huge project for them. Regardless, I never felt like my kitchen remodel was less of a priority to them. Truly, I lost track of how many times I was impressed by their attention to detail. They kept me updated on when workers would be coming in and out of the house and they showed up first thing in the morning. I never felt like they were taking shortcuts or ducking out early. They always cleaned up after themselves each day too, which I appreciated. The whole team was awesome with communication, kind, and repeatedly made sure everything was being done according to my what I wanted. I'm very pleased with how the remodel turned out and plan to use their services again for future projects. We used Sonny Builders to update our kitchen, which turned into most of the first floor! I had a lot of decorative touches that I wanted added to the project and the owner and team were patient and responsive to my needs. I loved how clean the crew was, since I have 2 dogs and 3 kids. I couldn't believe we could walk through the site every night after they left. Crew was polite and respectful, always closing the gate, and helping with extra projects. I do admit that the planning process was long, but that made the actual construction go very smoothly. Start to finish, we were around 3-4 months, which everyone couldn't believe given we took kitchen down to the studs, had some delays with my decorative touches, and added on several more rooms in the process. Sonny Builders has it's own crews, which is wonderful as they can be moved around to different sites. This was also crucial as some emergency came up in different areas of the house and Owner insisted that his crews come over (within hours!) and help, vs. me waiting on my other service crews to find time for me. Including fixing the furnace at 8 pm. People are amazed at the transformation of my house, using both my ideas and many good suggestions from the team. I would never recommend anyone to hire this company. I recommend that one never hire a contractor that has to find jobs through telemarketing.This company has refused to refund deposit money ($1000.00), from a project I canceled over 1 month ago. According to the original contract these funds were to be returned within 10 days of cancelation and we are way beyond that time frame. They tell me they will look into it and call me back, yet they never return phone calls. I have not had a single return phone call from anyone in this company. They are dishonest, misleading and offer no customer support. I have requested this refund multiple times and been told either that the check is in the mail or that they will look into it and call me back, which they never do.This situation evolved from a telemarketing call which I will call day 1. (August 24, 2021). I agreed to have a contractor visit me and provide an estimate. Day 2 (August 25, 2021)was a soft sell with an agreement on a small $15,000 project and I paid a$1000.00 deposit. Day 3 was a hard sell with the cost of the project ballooning to $75,000 and 45 minutes of intimidation to sign the new contract even after I told them I could not agree to the new amount on the spot, as I was not prepared to spend that much. Once they realized Nothing they could say would convince me to sign, they demanded another $7000.00 payment for the original project before they could begin work. When I told them that according to the contract these funds were not due for another 5 days, I was told they could not begin work until paid the extra money, I canceled the original deal according to the 3 day right of cancelation and i provided them with a signed cancelation request. One person stormed out of my house at this never to return and the second one took a picture of my cancelation statement, apologized, and left.Skip to day 14 (September 8, 2021). I texted my original contact and informed him I had not received my refund yet. He responded that the offices were closed the previous week for Jewish holidays and that he would check on it and get back to me.Day 16. (September, 10, 2021)Received a text from my original contact that the office was indeed closed the previous week and that they were working on my refund and i would get it soon.Day 19. (September 13, 2021). Called the main office phone number for Sonny Builders and spoke to the San Diego representative and was told she would look into it and call me back. She did not call me back.Day 20. (September 14, 2021). Called and spoke to the representative again and she assured me they were sending the check and I would receive it in 2 to 3 days and that if I did not to please call her back.Days 23 (Sep 17, 2021), 26 (Sep 20, 2021). Multiple phone calls, no one was available to help so messages were left, but no one has made any attempt to contact me with any information about my refund.Day 29 (Sep 23, 2021). I spoke with the San Diego representative again and she told me she would look into it and call me “right back”, she never called me back.Day 33 (Sep 27, 2021). Called and left a message for both the San Diego representative and her boss about my missing refund, no one called me back. II have still not received my $1000.00 refund and have not been given any reason for this and the only thing I have been told is that it is on the way. According to the original contract these funds were to be returned within 10 days of cancelation and we are way beyond that time frame.Service: General construction
