Highly recommend J&S Roofing. I had another local roofing company come out first and they were extremely pushy and overpriced. Our roof (and the weather) presented some challenges, but the J&S team went above and beyond to make sure the job was done correctly. I interacted with a lot of the J&S team (Brant, Jason, Donnie, Bob, Jennifer, and many others), and each one was extremely professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. With the issues we had with our roof, I'm not sure they would have been resolved properly had I chosen a different company. If I ever need a new roof, J&S will be my first call.

We feel lucky that we found Brant Hulst and his team (Bob, Jennifer, and more) at J&S Roofing and Construction. They have been the pinnacle of professionalism and courtesy through this entire process.We are conducting this transaction from states away in Texas to help our relative who bought a small (1500 sq ft) fixer upper house in Archer. Brant and his team submitted a very detailed bid with photos to help us understand the condition of the existing roof. Their company has the BEST labor warranty on the market (7 years over the industry standard of 5).Brant was readily available by phone when we had questions and sent over many photos to document the tear off, repair, and installation processes. The work crew on site was courteous and cleaned up thoroughly. Brant and his team were also able to help us get attic venting done at the same time in conjunction with a bathroom remodel and kitchen vent hood install. Jennifer & Bob went above and beyond to help us match the correct color shingles to the brick on the house by driving out to the property and discussing it in detail with our Mom (homeowner).Even this was a relatively small project, Brant and the team were precise, careful, and thoughtful about all details from permitting, repair details, coordinating concurrent projects, timeliness, cost, shingle color, and more. We feel extremely well taken care of by the team- their responsiveness is second to none. The new roof is beautifully and solidly installed- it breezed through final inspection. I recently purchased a mid-century Gainesville home in need of a lot of love, including replacement of its sagging, tar & gravel roof. I interviewed at least ten roofers to install a well-insulated (~R-10) standing seam metal roof, but none of them came close to offering what we needed, or had the skills to do so, until Austin walked in from J & S. Unprompted, he began to describe exactly the materials and construction we wanted, to the point where I began calling him my "Cinderella Roofer" (but not to his face)! Not only did he come through with all his promises, he communicated well with me in language I could understand, was flexible enough to pause work when additional repairs or electrical upgrades were needed, and his crews were extremely hard-working and professional. Despite being interrupted by hurricane Ian, the roof went on in a timely, organized manner with no surprise additions or drama. We worked with Donnie Ashley of J&S Roofing and Construction, Inc. and could not be happier with our experience. From the very detailed estimated that allowed us to compare various quotes, to bringing us shingle samples to narrow down our choice. Donnie called to schedule the job quickly as he knew we were under a relatively short deadline. The crew showed up on time, worked tirelessly throughout the day, and cleaned up meticulously on a daily basis. Donnie introduced me to the crew foreman, Eric, and made sure to let me know if I had any questions, Eric was on site and Donnie was available by phone/text at any time. This crew knocked out a 3400 sq. foot home shingle re-roof in two days. Donnie came both days to check on the job and update me on inspections. After the roof was completed, Donnie came back to personally inspect the roof and confirm everything was done correctly and that we were happy with the roof. Professionalism at it's highest. I highly recommend J & S Roofing and Construction for all your roofing needs. They recently installed new shingles and seven 4x4 skylights on my roof in Gainesville. To further protect the roof from leaks, they also replaced any and all damaged woodwork around and underneath the shingles, including a window sill and some of the siding along the walls of my home, ensuring that the job was done right the first time. An added plus - they offer a seven year warranty on the roof, instead of the one to five year warranties that other roofers offer. Their pricing was very reasonable, and they provided a detailed breakdown of the costs involved - there were no surprises or hidden fees. They are not only licensed and insured, but they cover their employees with worker's comp, unlike some other roofing companies in town. From the initial consultation to the completion of my roof, the team at J & S Roofing and Construction displayed the utmost professionalism, expertise, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. My roof looks great, and I couldn't be happier with the results!

We've gotten several quotes on replacing our roof. We have a large home. 3000 ft² very steep roof. First time for it to be replaced since the home was built. Some of our quotes just did not come with the details that we needed. They were very general. We were doing gutters. Which Wes Riley is the gutter company that was referred to us as well by J&S and they were so competent ,complete ,they used to drone. They came out. They measured everything and when the work took place it was two and a half days it was impeccable. They got the job done before the rain started efficient. The cost was very good. We had quotes that were reaching almost 15 thousand dollars over and some were cutting it under so much that there were not going to be able to get all of our needs fit in there. So they came in right in the middle and worked with us and it was a lovely experience. I would refer them to anybody. I also got them as a referral from two people in my neighborhood who said that the work was high quality and I agree with that 100%.I highly recommend this company for their professionalism and for their communication and for the best options for the type of house that you have. If I had to get another roof I would use these guys again but I won't have to because the work is so good I shouldn't have to see him for another 25 years!

Brant came out to do an estimate for a Galvanized roof/Shingles I chose Galvanized which was a little more in cost but a lifetime warranty. I also got an estimate from their Competitor which I chose not to go with because they were gonna do a cheaper replacement by not removing the shingles and just laying the metal on top.J&S I highly recommend them and his team! Jennifer was honest and pride driven about the replacement and how important it was to remove the shingles. Jennifer was able to guide me and explained every detail though the steps needed to ensure replacing our roof went smoothly as possible. The Roofing crew was excellent and very efficient and attentive to their work and also very clean. I was worried about the nails from the old roof but no nails left behind.J&S Roofing went above and beyond the call of duty!!!! J&S is HONEST, QUALITY, ACCOMODATING AND TIME EFFICIENT. My metal roof was built not too long ago by another contractor and had a ton of issues. I reached out to J&S (along with several other companies) to see what the most cost efficient and cost effective way to resolve the issues. Austin came out, did not try to sell me something that I did not need, but came up with an effective and affordable solution. Austin and co were communicative, responsive, always one phone call away, efficient, and took care of matters professionally. After the work was done, I found some screws in the yard, and he immediately dispatched someone the same day to fix those issues. I cannot recommend these guys more!

We had our roof replaced by J&S and the cost was reasonable and the staff very professional and responsive. I wanted to enhance the venting of the attic and they helped me make the right decision by simply adding a vent instead of a much more expensive solar fan. Jason even worked with our adjuster to explain the extent of truss damage and get additional funds. Jennifer was very helpful and stopped by several times to check on the property. Was talking to my AC guy explaining a roofing company came out and what their quote was. It was really high. He suggested I call J&S roofing because he had just recently had his roof replaced with them. Called them and DJ was out in less then an hour to inspect our roof. Had a quote to us quickly and there was a major difference in price for the exact same roof. J&S was much more in line and affordable. We had to pick different but better shingles due to availability but DJ communicated that and was in constant contact with any changes. All was agreed upon before signing the contract. The roofers were exceptional, friendly, and cleaned up after themselves each day. Job only took two days. Probably would have been one if they had more daylight. They worked really well together. In the end they were easy to work with, efficient, and affordable. We love our roof and the black drip edge with the gray roof is stunning. Really stands out and looks sharp.
