Matson Construction Company took on a job with us that others had previously told us was not salvageable. They said that they would do the best that they could considering the situation (shoddy workmanship that the prior contractor had left us with) and we were agreeable. They amazingly found creative ways to turn the kitchen into a functional and attractive kitchen that looked like my inspiration picture from a magazine. We are very pleased that they accepted this difficult job and turned it into something beautiful. Thank you crew of the Matson Construction Company! Matson Construction is a top notch firm, that is very honest with their customer, and they are very devoted to the job from day one until it is 100% completed. Dave and his crew built my family a custom home with us being 1100 miles away from the construction site. He communicated to me on a regular bases with phone calls, text messages, and numerous pictures he had taken (200) and sent to me on every job through the whole build of the home.If you call Dave he will call you back within a short period of time, and addressed any concerns you may have. His firm made the whole process of building a home a lot less stressful knowing they were their with all the support you needed. Great Job Dave, and Michele and I really do apricate all the work you did to build our retirement home! We will enjoy it for many of years to come.

I called approx. 10 companies to quote my project. Full replacement of a leaking flat roof with a trussed, pitched roof along with demo of a poorly-built Florida room that had no insulation, A/C or electricity. Pretty big project beyond a simple renovation, but definitely smaller than building a new house.Only got 5 return phone calls. 2 rejected job upon description (too small? too big?), one came to look and turned me down. Another showed up and proceeded to focus on everything "wrong" in my house besides the project. Then there was David Matson.Nothing but professional from start to finish. Answered the phone 95% of the time and returned calls within 10 minutes on the others. Constant communication throughout the 7-week process. This job involved architects/engineers, a truss company, roofers, cement-slab pouring, cinder block construction, stucco, electrical, A/C, doors/windows, drywall, gutters and various other tasks I'm probably forgetting. I expressed to David that the primary objective was to eliminate the flat roof and its associated leaking along with building a livable, comfortable room.David and his team nailed it. Every detail. Every request or asking for their input, they made recommendations that resulted in a perfect solution. Because all of the components of the job were dependent upon a previous task completion, each stage had to be timed and coordinated. That means every contractor has to show up on the day & time scheduled. THEY ALL DID. I can't stress this enough. Any breakdown in this process would have prolonged the job and thrown everything into a hold pattern. The fact that all these contractors performed this way is a testament to their respect for David and his relationship and communication with them.There are 2 projects in my neighborhood that started 5 to 7 months before mine. They are still in process. There are several days where there is no activity at all. (SIDE NOTE: One of these projects is being done by one of the companies I called. I saw their name on their sign, called, spoke to the owner and told him I was one block over, could he come and take a look at the job?....Never called me back.) I had teams at my house every day at 7:15 like clockwork, ready to go.Do yourself a favor if you have a project that requires craftsmanship, punctuality, RESPONSIVENESS and professionalism. Call Matson Construction and speak to David - he will definitely return your call and treat you like a longtime client right out of the gate.

Trying to find a contractor for my unique idea for retiring our old leaking eye sore of a pool area was not easy. I was referred to Matson construction by a friend. I liked him from day one. He came in not totally understanding my vision, but told me where I needed to start for him to even begin. After 2 years of planning and working a engineering company, Dave and his team were ready to start. Construction commenced on March 2021 and my concept became reality in July 2021.As with any construction project issues will always arise. Dave looked at the issues that arose positively and came up with great solutions while somehow managing to stay within our budget.I'm so grateful that Dave and his team, especially James, agreed to take on our project since to our knowledge this "repurposing" of a pool and surrounding area has never been done.It was a pleasure working with this company!
