Great overall experience. As a group they were very professional in their communication regarding all aspects of the work to be done. Chris got back to me with an estimate within an hour of inspecting the job site. All work was professionally completed in one day and the installers cleaned up as if they were never there. I highly recommend them if you want sun tunnels installed.

I am so pleased with our experience with Athens Roofing. We needed a new roof - our old roof was leaking thanks to another company doing a terrible job on our roof replacement in 2010, right before we purchased our house. Roofs are a significant investment, and I wanted to make sure I made the right investment - I called pretty much every roofing company in Athens. When Barth from Athens Roofing came out, I knew they were who I wanted to use - Barth was friendly, helpful and patiently answered all of my 3 million questions about our roof project. The owner, Chris, is the same - friendly and patient, and he personally came out to the job site multiple times to check on the progress of our project. Their roofing crew is hard working, friendly and they did a fantastic job of cleaning up after themselves every day. They worked tirelessly for four 11+ hour days and the end result is a gorgeous roof that I'm confident we will have for decades to come. Please consider using Athens Roofing for your roofing project - they are absolutely the best!!

Chris, Mandy, and the gang were prompt and responsive, willing to schedule around my personal obligations. The consultations for the project (deck repair) were thorough and efficient. The work was completed in one day. This project was a bit out of the company's main area of work (roofing) but Chris answered my online query with good humor and was kind enough to say ... sure, we can do this! Great experience overall. Had some questions around the weather damage that Chris was able to help bring context to. He was able to speak with our adjuster and came out to meet with the adjuster. We were given a reasonable timeframe with updates on a start date. We've had many compliments on the look work quality by neighbors and other contractors.

A couple of years after my earlier review below, I had Chris and Athens Roofing out to complete the full replacement of my metal roof. Once again, everything went smoothly! Chris was a pleasure to work with again, there wasn't much of a "covid delay" to speak of, and the crew was professional and completed the work in one day. Athens roofing was extremely helpful with our needs (many) and understanding of the time it took to choose just what we needed. There was spectacular advice that even when we sought other services regarding the roof with other companies, they were simply never matched as well as Athens Roofing. They were easy to work with, personable and amazingly efficient at the roof work. This included time to pick shingle types, two sky lights of concern, insurance billing, scheduling to our needs, and care for our home and yard before and after the job. We even found a couple of nails afterwords that the owner and crew of Athens Roofing returned for immediately to investigate, seeking to clean even better than before to assure the safety snd care we put into our own home. I have already recommended them to a few others and would suggest them for others still.

I have been very pleased with our new metal roof. It is beautiful, durable, and modern. The whole process with Athens Roofing was professional and pleasant, from Barth coming out to do our initial assessment, to Chris coming, the metal suppliers sizing it, and the hard-working dedicated crew who installed it. Barth was so responsive and helped coordinate around a contractor building some overhangs and the satellite dish removal and reinstallation. Before needing to replace our roof due to storm damage, we had three opportunities to work with Athens Roofing. All three experiences left us knowing exactly who we would call when we needed a new roof - Athens Roofing.The first involved repairs to a fairly old roof. The second and third were when they inspected the same roof after heavy windstorms. Each time, they could have easily convinced us we needed an entirely new roof. Given the age of our roof, we would have believed them and not known the difference. Instead, they clearly communicated what needed to be repaired (including pictures) and gave us an idea of what to look for as our roof aged.Not only did these interactions teach us how much integrity the folks at Athens Roofing have, they gave us an opportunity to learn their processes, their pricing, their crew, their owner, and what makes them different from other roofing companies in the area.Replacing a roof is stressful enough. When it's because of storm damage, and involves insurance claims and adjustors, it's even worse. The folks at Athens Roofing did a great job explaining what to expect throughout the process and were very helpful in providing the insurance company everything they needed to process our claim as quickly and as painlessly as possible.I also appreciated that they answered our questions about options for upgrading to a metal roof and/or architectural shingles. But, didn't pressure us to go in any particular direction.The on-site crew was fantastic. They showed up when they said they would. They were professional. They were courteous. They carefully tarped the area around the house and garage to capture falling debris. And, they cleaned up after themselves. If it weren't for our gorgeous new roof, we wouldn't know they'd even been here.Whether you need a new roof or repairs, give the folks at Athens Roofing a call. You won't regret it.

Athens Roofing has done a commercial roof and a residential roof for me. The commercial roof was a complex job, including a 9000 sq ft membrane roof plus an additional metal roof and metal siding on an attached building with gutters for the entire structure. Because of the large surface, the gutter system required updated scuppers to handle the load of the heavy rains we experience in Athens. The residential roof was a new shingle cover on my mother’s 60 year old split level home with 4 sky lights installed. This job included removing the old roof and replacing damaged ply boards, and was done in a single day with complete clean up the following day. All in all I could not be more pleased with the professional service and quality product. Definitely Athens Roofing earns a 5 Star rating.

Now I help AR with their marketing materials and can say that they have check lists upon check lists for all aspects of the job that cover way more than any of the five roofers we interviewed. Add a few simple things that help prevent future leaks that other roofers don't do and you can be assured your job will be expertly done.

Chris and his crew did a great job! We were having leaks on our walls, but the source wasn't obvious.On the first visit, Chris identified some possible solutions. He suggested we try some low or no cost things first, so he wasn't interested selling us an expensive service, which we appreciate. Once we realized that we did have some roof leaks that needed repair, his crew was prompt and communicative. I even asked them to install an unconventional damper while they were up there (which Chris agreed to do at no extra cost), but the one I bought didn't fit. Chris was willing to come out again to install the correct damper, which was just plain old kind.

Two experiences with Athens Roofing. They came out and put and put a really nice metal roof on our previous house. The roof was dependable and built within the timeframe. I was disappointed to find some problems around the house: A hose had been cut through (perhaps a sharp metal piece was laid on the hose, I don't know), my wife's bicycle frame was bent (it was out on the porch), and there were cigarette butts everywhere. More problematic was that there were roofing nails everywhere. I borrowed a neighbor's magnet after my wife had a flat tire and found many.I met with the owner, complimented the roof and said "Just to let you know, we have some broken stuff and issues with litter." I didn't tell him about the nails since we hadn't started finding them yet. He seemed very annoyed with me and said "Well, what do you want me to do, give you a price break?" I did not demand a discount but probably should have.We recently purchased a new house with what seems to be a well-installed, shingle roof. I've also had 3 flat tires from roofing nails hidden all around the house and driveway. In addition to those three nails I've pulled out of rubber, I've picked up about 6 more - one of which went clean through my sandal, barely missing one of my toes.Good roofs but I can't recommend these guys.
