My grandmother has been working with Mr.Thompson for years on renovations, and I must say that the job he and his team does is exceptional. My family believes firmly in supporting black owed businesses and sometimes while it isn’t the best, people like brother Rodney have given us reason to keep believing with exceptional professional service and reasonable prices. Mr. Thompson is a stand up guy and I’d vouch and recommend his services to all my friends.

I don't always leave reviews, but sometimes if it's on your mind to leave a well deserved kudos, "Why not"? I could not have asked for a better experience. I was so impressed with Mr. Thompson’s knowledge and the time spent to complete our project, to our "High Standards". Mr. Thompson and his team members were extremely proactive, transparent and exemplified a world of experience, with construction (We had work done in the Kitchen and bathroom areas). I would recommend to others, because of professionalism, follow-through and end-results.

I own a pool business and was contacted by Mr. Rodney Thompson for some pool repairs that he need done on his pool. I replaced his pool pump motor and performed 4 cleanings on his pool. Rodney paid his invoice with a check from SSJ Development, the business he owns. I deposited said check in my account and a few days later my bank informed me the check for 400 dollars had bounced and I had to cover the cost of the bounced check plus fees. Rodney being a successful ex NFL football player I assumed there had to be a mistake, surely he wouldn’t write me a bad check intentionally. I contacted him and told him of the issue and he was very defensive and told me that he didn’t operate like that, there was 60k in the account, and he would make it right. I tried countless times to meet with him and then he completely started ignoring me. 5 months have now passed and Rodney has made zero effort to make the situation right and pay what he owes. In my opinion, any business that cannot clear a 400 dollar check and has an owner with zero integrity, would not be trusted for anything, let alone to actually perform work. One star but really ZERO STARS

He's a crook. A complete rip off. Very unprofessional. Does not return phone calls. Hires unlicensed people to do the work. Does not supervise when work is being done. He will disappear in the blink of an eye. He does not own up to his responsibilities. Loves playing the victim as if he's doing no wrong. He did not provide receipts or paperwork of any kind. He totally took advantage of my mom...completely ripped her off!
