We had a repair for an active leak on our front roof and a preventative for water that was pooling on a section of our back roof. Never had issues with front roof since they repaired it but the preventative work was definitely below par.I have now, in less than a year called them twice to take accountability for this. The first time they gaslighted us and said it was not their fault. With the rains in the last 2 weeks, and after painting our ceiling for the first water damage they would not own (AND again, never having this issue before in our house) here we are again….please do right by the customer this time!My hope is I can update this review and hope they can make it right - their warranty is 5 years for a reason— this should not be happening for preventative repairs and in less than 1 year from being worked on…

I did a lot of research and had 6 companies come out and provide an estimate for my flat roof active leak project. Roofing by Hernandez took a little long to come back with a contract estimate, (truthfully, I didn't chase them down) but I was very happy when we were able to connect. 5 other roofers scratched their heads at providing a solution, but Eduardo at RBH knew exactly what to do and did not shy away from the work. My anxiety level was eased with his patience at answering all my questions clearly and professionally. I have to add that all their office staff is EXCELLENT as well. Josephine was very helpful in scheduling my project and getting billing processed accurately. I would not hesitate to use them again!!! Don't get scammed!I hired them for a small patch repair for a small leak , after couple of times keeping to at home and rescheduling they finally showed up "while raining" look at the roof and told me they can not fix it because it is wet and they will re-schedule. Instead of coming back they send me a quote for 3000$ repair quote for a crack and never got back to do minor repair.They will ask you to send money before the work don't trust them like I did , DONT SEND THEM MONEY before they do any work you, Or choose someone else

After having an awful experience with roofing companies, Roofing By Hernandez was a breath of fresh air. Ivan and Edgar came, checked out the roof, answered every question imaginable about my roof, gave me a reasonable estimate, and in no time the work was done. The crew was on time, friendly, professional and worked non stop. They only took a break for lunch. Even though the work was tedious, they all had smiling faces. I had a new roof in two days. Thanks Ivan and crew for my new roof and deck.After a rough winter (cold, record snow, ice and rain), my flat twenty year old roof developed some major leaks. Ivan (Owner) was able to come out quickly and access the situation and come up with a very comprehensive plan that made sense for my situation. His quotes are very detailed and covered every question / concern I could think of. When you first meet Ivan, you get a sense very quickly that he takes great pride in his work; he knows what he's talking about and is happy to address all questions and concerns. Texting or Emailing Ivan was always met with a very timely response. Ivan was able to get me on his schedule quickly and his very professional and knowledgeable crew (Thanks Edgar) were out and stripping off the old roof in no time; a far superior roofing system that should last for twenty years and was very competitively priced was installed. His Crew were also very on top of their game; they were always available to answer questions and go over the steps of the roofing process. My flat roof also had an existing deck that needed work and had to be dismantled for the new roof to be installed and I had a second area where I wanted a new deck built. After seeing my "Gold Star" roof completed, I was concerned about another contractor coming out and damaging the roof to install a new deck; there is a very exact way to install decks on flat roofs without puncturing them. I asked Ivan to remove and reinstall the old deck and build a second deck on the opposite side of the roof. Once again, Ivan and Crew came through with my amazing new Trex Decks; couldn't be happier with the high quality of work balanced with very competitive pricing. Edgar came out to inspect a leak of ours today and I can't recommend him and the entire team at Roofing by Hernandez enough. He took his time explaining things to us, didn't make us panic about needing to replace the entire roof, and the quote was reasonable. I had a complete removal of the old roof and installation of new roof, new galvanized gutters and downspout.-All over a good company. I would definitely use their services again.-Project manager was great and easy to talk to.-Scheduling and communication with administrative staff could be better.-I didn’t like:I wasn’t ask about gutter and downspout color. Now it is just a silver/metal color and not esthetically appealing or matching the house.The dripping tar over the side walls and debris around the house was definitely poor service.I can’t speak for quality since it’s a new roof.Services: Skylight repair, Gutter installation, Roof installation

Showed up on time and did the work they were hired for for 2/3. Without any discussion with me, they left 1/3 of the job undone and left for the weekend. Did not return multiple calls and texts. On the Monday following, they told me they had mis-scoped the work and couldn’t do the work on the main area we needed (the work they performed was minor stuff we threw in to make the job bigger and worthwhile for them. In the end, they did a nice job on work I didn’t really need and didn’t do the work I need, and did not communicate at a baseline professional level. Do not recommend.

Brand new pitched roof ended up exactly the way I asked. I should say that there was some miscommunication that required the roof to be done twice, but regardless Roofing by Hernandez came through and got the job done and the end result is a very nice pitched roof with most water draining properly. I had a pleasure working with Edgar and chatting with Ivan over email to correct the issues I had with the initial roof installation. In the end I have a roof that functions properly. I plan on following up with Roofing by Hernandez to have them also place a deck on this newly installed roof. Great job and service!!! Highly recommend them.Service: Roof installation

I called Roofing by Hernandez to look at a leak in one spot of my roof. They suggested I do a roof tune-up and thoroughly explained all that would be done, including replacing shingles in the area where I was experiencing the leak. I agreed to the roof tune up, which came with a one-year guarantee. I am still waiting to see if the shingle replacement and gutter cleaning resolved my leak issue. I wasted time with a different vendor for an urgent roof repair. So glad my Wife found Roofing by Hernandez. They have been very responsive and thus far has done what they say they will do…. On time even. Able to have a tarp on the damaged roof area 2 days after this initial discussion. The original vendor I was dealing spent about a month figuring how to approach the problem. Based on positive reviews I hired this company to repair some gutters and a downspout a few months back. The scope of work supposedly came with a one-year guarantee of the scope of work. A few months later the gutters are already coming off again. When I contacted Roofing By Hernandez to request they come out again - for the supposed warranty - I never heard back. Left many voicemails over the course of 3 weeks. Finally had to hire another company to actually fix the gutters. Based on my experience I couldn’t in good conscience recommend this company to anyone.

I needed a complete tear off replacement on my flat roof. I got several estimates form several contractors. Some wanted to take all my money and some wanted to do a quick cheap crappy job. In either case no one could provide a direct answer as to what would be my best option. I was referred to Ivan by a good friend. Ivan came over and hand answers for everything. His answers made a lot of sense to me. He chatted with me for about an hour which was nice. I was provided a written very fair price. I decided to hire them. I was informed and updated the whole way through. The workers took proper precautions to protect my property from any damage while the work was being done. Roofing by Hernandez did a great job on my roof. They replaced a damaged attic fan, replaced damaged/missing shingles, sealed areas, cleaned my gutters and trimmed the trees that were too close to the roof. They were also very easy to work with. They came out quickly to inspect the roof and give me an estimate. Once I accepted the estimate, the work was completed very quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up afterwards and were also very conscientious in regard to Covid protocol, which I greatly appreciated. Communication was great throughout each step of the process. I had the best experience with Roofing By Hernandez! Ivan got in touch with me the same day I called requesting an estimate for a complete tear off and replacement of my roof. He came out soon after, inspected my roof, took photos, gave me his suggestions on what was needed, and gave me a more than fair estimate! He was very patient with me and took his time answering all of my questions and addressing any concerns.
