Gillespie & Morrell replaced my roof this last October. The guys did a fantastic job and I will use them again in the future! They were there within a reasonable amount of time from the signing of the job, the best quote price in the county, cleaned up after the job was complete, took their time to do the job right, and were kind and professional. I highly recommend them for any of your roofing needs!

They replaced the boards in my floors almost 3 years ago now, did a good job. However, they did not pull some insulation that may rot the boards out again if not removed. One would have thought they would have done that while replacing the boards. I have called and called, asking if they would give me an estimate on how much it would cost. No response. So unless you want to wait 3 years and counting for an estimate, you might want to call someone else. I would not even give them a half star if given this option.

My 80+ year old mother used them to replace her roof. We spent over $16,000 to have roofing and masonry work done to the house. Andrew Morrell informed us that we would not only need to have the roof repair done but apparently the brick masonry/fireplace needed work done to repair minor cracks in the mortar. Mind you - the house was built by the owners in 1957 and the masonry was done by two MASTER BRICK MASONS AND there was no evidence of any issues with the masonry until Morrell said repairs needed to be done. We hired Gillespie & Morrell GCs. They came out and did the repair work. Left garbage in our attic, back/side yards and on the roof. Moved our satellite dish without telling anyone, so when my 80+ year old mother went to watch television, she couldn't get a signal. So we had to get DirectTV to come out to fix the issue (Morrell reimbursed us for the service call). Fast forward to February 2020 (still under warranty). We noticed a white substance/staining on the brick fireplace. I initially thought it was mold or mildew. I called Gillespie and Morrell's offices, spoke to the secretary who couldn't find any record of our work. Luckily I had all of the paperwork to which she replied "Oh, that's an old account. We switched systems". I left a message for Andrew and emailed. I never got a response. I got his cell number. Called him. I texted him on March 15, 2020 about the chimney. Finally got a call back from him. I told him what was going on. He said he would go and check it out. He sent me pictures and stated there are several cracks in the top of the chimney and even an area where the masonry was falling apart. He stated it might be best to install chimney caps over the chimney and doing tuck pointing and sealing up the cracks. I asked for a price and he said he would get me a quote the next day. I then asked him about the masonry work we paid $850 for. I sent him a copy of the contract. No response. He only asked me was there another chimney on the house - which there is not. This was March 2020. I heard NOTHING from him and reached out AGAIN July 28, 2020 via text. He read my text and did not respond. So we paid for substandard work and he won't even acknowledge it or repair it - we had a warranty. I would look elsewhere before using this company.

Just had Charles from Gillespie & Morrell General Contracting install a new furnace and A/C. Remarkable service! Friendly, honest, did excellent work, and saved me loads of cash. If you’re in the Grant County area, I highly recommend Gillespie and Morrell General Contracting!

I called for a quote on some minor fascia board repairs. The guy who came out was very nice. However, they completely ghosted me and never got back to me with a quote. Guess the job was too small for them to bother with.
