Mark, Luis and Sean were great to work with after having to deal with some basement flooding that occurred when we were out of state. I highly recommend Rainbow Restorations. They did everything from the mitigation to the restoration. It was great to only have to deal with one business entity to get our basement squared away. Garbage work. You’d be well advised to look up this crook and his wife’s records. Going on two years to do a three month project . Still not done. Sub flooring visible, three different colored gutters, plumbing leaks, had to move back into an unfinished house, had to cut a sink in myself. His illegals destroyed a $1200 boat tarp, a mantle, bathroom tile, etc… The list goes on and on. He’s a scammer. Mechanics Lien on my home because he hasn’t been paid for incomplete work. Not the first time they’ve done it. I only put one star on this because it wouldn’t allow me to post otherwise. Negative 5 stars is what they deserve. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!!!

My family had a fire and I called Jeff Roberts that night and he was over that very next morning with the Rainbow Crew! I can't thank them enough they were amazing throughout the whole process. First off Ryan the project manager was really good no excuses, just gets the job done regardless of what it is. Jason the owner was on site that very next morning making sure my wife and I knew what to expect throughout the whole process. Luis the mitigation manager was great like I said I can't say enough good things about this crew!!! I would highly recommend this company!!!

We used Rainbow International two times after severe roof damage from the derecho and then from the hail storm in West Des Moines. In both cases we were very satisfied with the work. The crew including Mike Clark, Jeff Maclderry and Brent Trampel provided quality work and were very easy to work with. When we did have issues, foreman Ryan Henfling never made excuses; rather, he just made sure the work was done correctly. Rainbow was the preferred supplier recommended by our insurance company and we would definitely call on them again!Services: Roofing, Water damage-related cleanup & repair, Painting

Be VERY careful with this company. We opted not to use them because of a clause in their contract that states "Customer herby agrees to release (...) and indemnify Rainbow International from any and all damages, claims, or actions that arise from (...) 4) Mysterious disappearances of personal property." I asked the company about removing this and they said they will not remove it in order to earn our business.The initial contact we worked (Jeff) with seemed great, but the second person we worked with (Sean) for estimates and setting the job up did not follow through with his words. It took me reaching out three times over multiple weeks to make any headway to get a contract, and at that point, we opted to select a different company out of caution due to the clause. Be careful if you select this company.

Ryan H managed the repair of our home after hail damage. It was a pleasure having Ryan H in charge of our project. He was very professional and responded quickly to any questions we had. Ryan H hired very good sub-contractors for the numerous repairs we needed to have completed and Ryan H made sure they completed their parts of the repairs in a timely and professional manner.

Rainbow was assigned to us through our insurance company to assist us in restoring our home after a water loss.The mitigation crew was great, came out within an hour of me calling, was easy to get ahold of and checked in with us frequently.At the time the estimator came out we asked how long does the process usually take, and were told we should be back to normal within a couple of weeks. It was SEVERAL months and we are still left with incomplete work, because everythig that went wrong could have gone wrong and we asked them to please just be done, and we will handle the remainder of the work ourselves.They are unable to answer questions for homeowners who are unfamiliar with their process. They do not return emails or calls. The different departments of employees involved in the projects are clearly not on the same page. And they try to charge you/your insurance company for items that may not acutally need to be done, they try to get by not doing all the work that is stated as part of the project. I could go on an on about the amounts of stress this company has caused us, not to mention the poor quality of work we recieved.

This is the most un professional company I have ever dealt with. We have been waiting two months for them to fix some interior repairs due to a leaking roof. At first they were very responsive but when it came time to do the job nobody responded and were completely unprofessional. I reached out to see when the repairs could be scheduled and was told they would get back to me in one week. No response. I called again and was told they emailed me (which they didn’t) and would be out the following week. I took the day off work to let them in, and nobody ever came!! When we called the office it took over 24 hours to get a response from the owner or manager, Ryan. He then proceeded to tell us that his dry Wall guy was in the hospital..a call to tell us nobody would be showing up would have been great as I wasted a vacation day for nothing. Next we were told they would be out that Friday. We received an email that morning saying Friday would work as the current job they were working on wasn’t finished. Ryan contacted us by email and said they would reschedule for today, Wednesday. When the contractor arrived he had no idea what the job was, didn’t do demo work (which is what needed done) and didn’t have the right materials. The contractor proceeded to decline the work and left-said he would never hire Ryan, he is cheap and takes the easy way around jobs. Ryan contacted us and said he would be out after lunch to do the demo work. At this point I had already contacted my insurance company to find a new company. Ryan messaged my husband after this and said we would be billed for the material left at our home if they weren’t able to pick it up. The materials are still sitting outside our house. Do not use this company!!

The company did a good job initially to remove damaged walls and carpet. They provided able subcontractors to do the restoration. My main concern with the company is the coordination with cleanup and finalizing the wall texture.The big gripe was using a subcontractor who was unable to match the texture on the walls. The CEO of the company had another subcontractor work on the walls with better results. However, not all the work had been corrected, that is a longest wall was not retexturized and in spite of repeated undertakings by the the CEO, nothing has been done and the CEO has become unresponsive. My front door key they had has also not been returned despite a few requests. I am concerned about who might have a key to our house and will now have to change locks, it would seem. They are very professional to work with, experienced, responsive & sensitive to dealing with the stress of a home fire and the rebuild process. If you want something done on time or when they say they’re going to do it, this isn’t the company for you. My insurance company recommended them for carpet installation on 2 spectate occasions. The first time they said they would be out to my by 2 at the latest... they didn’t show up until 5. Then left the job unfinished and didn’t come back out for 2 weeks to finish the job. Now here I am again with the same problem. They were supposed to be at my house at 8 this morning. It is now 11 and still haven’t heard anything from them. When people have jobs and/or school they have to plan around to get these services, they can’t be waiting around for you to show up whenever you please. Don’t give your customers a time when you’re not going to stick to it.

Rainbow International of DSM is a great carpet cleaning and restoration company. I have referred them to many of my clients and have heard great reviews from them. They also did a phenomenal job cleaning our office carpets. Carpets that we all thought were beyond salvaging. Jeff Roberts and his team take really good care of clients and make sure the work is done right. If there's a question or issue they are on it. I highly recommend them to anybody with carpet cleaning or restoration needs.

Been waiting 2 weeks for a quote from one of the owners and nothing. Called the company twice to see if they could give me one and they said I'll talk to the owner to get it rolling and still nothing. They said that the owner has been busy, I understand, but 1 week ok 2 weeks and not even a message wow. Unless you have an emergency which in my case kind of is your not going to get anywhere with them. Mind you this is from one of the owners and they can't even get a quote or saying I'm sorry we aren't able to do it or something come on busy or not that's a little much.

These people were wonderful! They were the only ones who called me back after the flooding end of June. I had sewer water in my basement. They cleaned everything, including some items we has moved to the garage. Then they put in plenty of fans and a dehumidifier to dry it all out. Everyone was very professional and friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I would recommend them to anyone needed restoration services.

If I could give this a negative star, I would. These guys know just enough to screw things up. I have cabinets that they put up and left an inch gap between the cabinet and the ceiling. I have 4 different colors of white for ceiling paint, holes/swatches dug out of the ceiling and not repaired. They destroyed the tile in my front entry way, killed 2 evergreen bushes in front of my house. It took them months to get the gutters put on in the spring while we had all the rain and now my basement wall is pushed in from hydrostatic pressure. Not even 4 months in, the flooring in my bathroom is bubbling up, there are floor boards in my living room that have a 1/4 inch of play in them. They never put a primer on the walls before painting so if you rub your fingers along it, it will literally flake off. I'm missing screens in 2 Windows they installed. I have found razor blades throughout the house both inside and out. There is a hole the size of an orange where they installed the ceiling fan in my bedroom that they just decided not to cover up. They didn't clean up a damn thing in my back yard. In my kids room, the corner in the sheet rock has pulled away and left a 3 foot gash in the corner. Worst part about it is I had no say in hiring these jokers, my insurance company brought them in without even consulting me.BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!
