Alpha recently finished installing a new roof on my 100+ year-old home in Lawrence. The existing roof was at the end of it's life and we wanted to tear it all out, see how good or bad the decking was, and do a new hail-resistant shingle roof.We got three quotes, all within about $500 of each other, so I think the pricing is fair, we selected Alpha because Jenny did a fantastic job of answering my questions and pointing out some things that other roofers did not. They installed the roof in one (long) day and came back the following day to inspect, and flagged a few items they wanted to correct, which they did promptly. We did have some decking that needed replaced, just some minor water intrusion rotting some boards, many of which appeared to be the original 1x4 decking from 1912. The pricing to replace seemed quite fair.We are very happy with the new roof, it looks great and as best I can tell (I'm not a roofer) it all looks very tidy. Straight cuts, straight courses, all of the flashings appear as they should. Will definitely recommend Alpha to our neighbors!

Tim Lowe was very responsive, provided more than ample information, patiently answered our questions, gave good advice on roof replacement, streamlined the process with our insurance agent and made daily site visits. The roofing crew was very professional, did craftsman-like work and left the worksite in immaculate condition at the end of every day. Alpha far exceeded our expectations!

I had my roof replaced after a storm a few years ago by Alpha roofing. The roofers did a fine job but the insurance man said l could replace my gutters too and like a fool, I went ahead with it and let alpha roofing contract it out. Whoever it was they got to replace my gutters did a poor job. The gutters I had previously were far better, and I'm kicking myself every time I look at the new ones. A couple of the ends have a 1-in gap between the fascia and the gutter and I have leaks in the corners. Don't make the same mistake. I held off writing this review for a year as I was not overly pleased with the amount of nails found. I can understand some being left behind or dropping to the deck as described below in clean up.Quick and efficient? YesHere are my observations.Delivery of the product was not stacked neatly.Quality of work? Shingles and general roof work seems to be ok.Clean up? Seems to be on par with the delivery. Even when the individual came to inspect the work they stated gutters were cleaned nails were picked up. I showed them the hand full of nails found in deck and around on general ground level. Since then I've found many more nails along the ground. Now That I'm trying to install gutter guards. I'm finding plenty more nails in the front gutters.This brings into question the quality control aspect of this company.Service: Roof installation

Alpha replaced the roof on my house several years ago. They did a fantastic job! When I recently purchased a house, they performed the roof inspection and made some fixes I was pleased with. After a strong wind came through the area, some ridge shingles blew off. Ryan came out and replaced them and inspected the roof again at no cost. I couldn't be happier. I had Alpha do a full roof on our home and barn. We worked with Matt who was great. Despite weather delays (legitimate ones, they weren't being lazy), they still finished in efficient time and did a fantastic job. They subcontracted out the gutters and the gutter company was respectful and did a great job. I even got a little picky about one of the pieces of gutter that looked odd and they came right out and replaced it. Didn't ask for a dime until work was done and the work was done right without any issues. I've recommended them to neighbors and friends. Bought our house 5 years ago. Alpha came out and walked it as a courtesy when we purchased (Alpha had replaced the roof on our prior home). Roof was older (11 years old) but fine. Fast forward to 2019, after Lawrence tornado was 1/4 mile away, we determined that we had a wind claim. Alpha handled the whole thing with State Farm. That part was effortless.Also the communication of Ryan White and Yvonne Ruder was great. Workmanship and clean up awesome.Super nice, clean crew did top-notch work.

We purchased this home over 10 years ago and had made several changes which resulted in several old nonfunctional vents on the roof. I was given this reference from a neighbor who used their services last summer. I called to request a quote and Tim Lowe responded within 3 days with a bid to replace my roof and clean up many unsightly vents.The crew was very polite and efficient in their work. I'd love to say I had a good experience, but I cant. Two of my neighbors had their roof done so I stopped and talked to one of their supervisors. He said I'll pass on your info to my office. Four days later, still no call. I emailed and said what's up? They replied and said they'll have someone reach out to me. A week later, guess what? Still no word from anyone from their office.

Alpha roofing are rockstars! The house we currently rent was in need of a roof and our landlord went with Alpha. When they arrived to install the roof I was very impressed at the professionalism of the crews. They climbed on the roof at 8am and were done by 2pm!! The quality of work is amazing! We are now looking to purchase a home and it will need a roof as well. I know who will get our call!

Nails and trash everywhere. The crew showed up and worked hard for the first part of the day, then several took roughly an hour long nap sprawled out on my front lawn. The crew tried to work past 10PM, has to call our contact at the company and request they stop for the day. After they were done we found the remnants of their lunch in our bushes, tons of trash tucked into every nook and cranny, and the worst part, we still find roofing nails in our yard a year after the fact. I don't mean one or two, I mean DOZENS. When it rains hard enough, we still find nails that have washed out of the gutters. Would not recommend.

Alpha Roofing was prompt, professional, thorough, and also the most affordable! I called 5 different roofing companies in Lawrence for quotes. Alpha had a quote for me within 24 hours (next best was 3 days later!) and beat the 2nd best price by $500! They were also able to get my job done within the week!As a Realtor in the area, I deal with a ton of various contractors. Alpha was the best from beginning to end. Their customer service when I initially called was excellent. The quote was done by Matt Larken, who followed up with a prompt call. He also made sure we got the color we wanted, and called me the day of with recommendations on what to do with an old satellite dish that was bolted into the roof he was replacing. He called when the job was completed, as well. I thought that was a nice touch. I couldn't say nicer things about Alpha Roofing! Thank you for making the process so painless for me, Matt!

After living in Lawrence for a couple of years I noticed a water spot in my living room. I tried two roofing companies. First (big) company said they don't bother with repairs, and the receptionist was rude! Then I called Alpha Roofing. They had someone out the next day, found the problem, and said they would squeeze me in between jobs. My roof was repaired within a week. Last year (2016) my neighbors and I decided it was time for a new roof. One independent would not provide an estimate, SAME (big) company provided an estimate, but their was something off about their customer service...Once again, Alpha was courteous when we first called, and they came right out and provided an estimate. The work was completed within three weeks from time of contact. It took two days. During the last crazy storm (6-19-17) water started leaking through a ceiling fan/light fixture. I called Alpha Roofing at 3:30 pm on (6-20). Someone called me back at 4:30 pm, and said they would be here at 8 am the next morning (6-21). At 8 am, a really nice person shows up at the door, finds a small gap where flashing maybe shifted (keep in mind that my house gets the worst of all the weather), and repaired it. I CANNOT say enough great things about this company and everyone that I have had the pleasure of speaking to or working with. Alpha Roofing is AMAZING. They do great work. They show up when they say they are going to show up. Best customer service ever from the first phone call through the end of the job. And finally, today proves that they stand behind their work.

Alpha put a roof on my house 3 years ago, recently we had a windstorm that took a tree out onto my house, the Insurance company sent an adjuster out to look at the roof, even though the tree didn't contact it. As the adjuster came down of fhis ladder, he said " That's the best roof installation that I've seen in my 20+ years of doing this!" Thanks, Alpha.

Work started in August of 2018 to remove skylight and patch over with shingles. First attempt left the patch sunk in on the roof, not level with the rest of the roof. Poor communication after multiple attempts to have this fixed. Finally in April of 2019 they were able to correct the problem. Patch is at least level with the rest of the roof, but there was a gap between two pieces of decking used of about 1/2 an inch. Not sure that's a major issue, but for a company that supposedly prides itself on top notch work, I'm not seeing it. I can't recommend them due to quality issues as well as price. It's one thing to pay a little extra with the assumption of detailed work, but otherwise I think you can find roofing companies that are just as good if not better for less.

Terrible experience all the way around, I hardly even have the energy to try to accumulate what a mess my experience has been. I am going to do my absolute best to try.I am going to quickly list why to run for the HILLS! Then I will explain the entire situation, so you have back story on why to run. If you don’t want your blood pressure to go up or waste to much time out of your day, I will just quickly list the key points.1. They will order things without asking if that’s what you want. We have a green roof and green drip edge they ordered green roof brown drip edge.2. They will sprinkle litter around like bird seed.3. They will leave nails EVERYWHERE and they didn’t even replace our roof... literally EVERYWHERE.4. If they do tarp they won’t do it properly the first time and it will rain in your house for weeks on your belongings and hardwoods.5. They tried to put a new roof on rotted rafters... that would have not only not have been up to code, but was extensively discussed and I was told they were going to fix them (though it would have been an out of pocket expense)6. They will drive in your grass and leave massive ruts.7. They will leave cigarette butts everywhere.8. Oh and they staked about 6,000 pounds of shingles in one spot THE WEAK SPOT on my home... not only could this probably have caused damage, it could have fallen through and killed anyone under it.

Lazy and BAD company. Doesn't pick up after themselves when they use someone else's property to fix a roof. Left nails in our driveway causing multiple flat tires. Will pursue legal action.
