I was looking for a trusted plumbing and heating company with good reviews and I picked your company. Sadly, my first impressions of your company were not very good. I had two furnaces to 'tune up' and your man Cody SAID....he tuned up both ....in 48 minutes. ?? Your own office knew ....it took 48 minutes because I called your office when Cody left my building and your tech Cody confirmed the work was completed. (in 48 minutes).The problem was one of the furnaces was not working at all....when Cody left. He apparently shorted out a wire on a furnace before he left my building. After I notified your company of the problem, you sent another tech, Travis to rectify the broken furnace. Travis saw....the cobwebs all over the condensing unit that Cody had supposedly just cleaned the day before. Travis also saw the dirty filter that was dated and showed it was three years old. Both of those issues were on a furnace Cody said....he tuned up (in 24 minutes)?????? Clearly, Cody was charging me for work he had not done.Thinking it was just a rogue tech, I sent several photos of the cobwebs and filter for the owner Jim to look at hoping, that as the owner, he would see Cody as a possible problem for his business. It was my hope that Jim would reach out to me and apologize for such shoddy work before asking me to pay $390.00 for work that was clearly not done. And Jim would apologize for his tech breaking my furnace and leaving my tenants without heat for the night. But that didn't happen. In fact after 10 days of waiting for the owner to contact me I contacted the office and explained the situation again. I was then sent a bill and not one word of an apology.....This .....even after your man Travis had witnessed all of the work that clearly was not ....done on my property. And after you had seen the photos yourself. Is this normal behavior for your company?The owner Jim didn't apologize for any of this damage his tech Cody did to my home. Maybe this is how your company does business but it's not how business should be done. When your employees make a mistake you....should take the responsibility for their errors and at least try to reassure customers that this is not how you normally treat customers. The second mistake you made was just ignoring customer complaints. I really don't know how you are still in business if this is all normal for you. Charging for work not done, shorting out wires, leaving broken furnaces, ignoring customer complaints. Wow.Now, instead of having a lifelong reliable paying customer your company now has a poor review due to your lack of caring about the quality of work you provide.

Installed a complete heat pump system in an existing house. Mini-split for the ground floor, conventional ducted system with air handler in the attic for the second floor. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, professional, and clearly competent. They showed up on time for all appointments. They made very little mess, considering how many places they had to cut through sheet rock, and cleaned up after themselves. To top it all off, their quote was the lowest of the three we got. (Didn’t select them on price; selected them based on the overall impression we got from those we dealt with.) System works great. 5 stars in every possible way.Services: HVAC duct & vent installation, Install AC

Friendly customer service when I called that understood my stress and was honest about their availability for the day given that it was a holiday week and I was not already a customer. Called back when she said they would to give me an update and the plumbers who came were friendly, fast, and took the time to show me where the block was in the dishwasher drain so I would be able to resolve it myself next time. Will absolutely keep them in my speed dial.

Jim saved our home.We had a previous contractor whom disassembled our boiler then left our home without heat for 3 days. They would not come back unless we paid them more than what the home appliances insurance allowed.We called Jim and he came to our home and was very supportive and reassured us he will take care of it for us.Jim then went out and acquired, then installed a new boiler within 2 hrs.We had new boiler and heat in our home because of Jim helping us.We wish We still lived in Maine so we could call him for any of our plumbing needs. EDIT: I was contacted by a gentleman in the organization who had reviewed the issue and identified the sources of failure. He offered an explanation while stating there were no excuses for the events. He had others follow-up personally as well. The remaining and outstanding frustrations is that Jim still has not responded.Having heard from several reliable resources that Jim takes customer satisfaction highly I chose his organization to install (2) Mitsubishi hyperheater Heat Pumps in August 2019 (these units are supposed to be %100 efficient @10 degrees Fahrenheit and 80% Efficient at -14).During a recent cold spell that dipped down to -11 the larger unit started displaying the indicator light that the compressor was in prep stage.Even after warming up for a few days above 0, the unit increasingly because unreliable and the indicator light stayed on for increasingly longer periods of time until it was almost steady and producing almost no heat at all. Fearing a loss of refrigerant I powered the unit off.I contacted their on-call support at 8:30 on a Sunday morning to request a no-heat call. We waited 4 hours and ultimately called back @ 12:30 and asked for a status. At approximately 1:30pm in the afternoon I finally received a return call from a tech who basically said it was a heat pump and they did not do on-call support for them and that I should use backup heat. This was shocking as it was repeatedly stated how they were doing a lot of on-call no-cooling calls when they installed my unit.I fired up my old furnace for heat - The very same unit that I had the heat pumps install so I could decommission due to age.Monday morning I called right after they opened @ 7:30am to verify that there was indeed a service call in place and was told that I was next on the list and a tech should be out shortly. The entire day went by without ANY communication from Jim's organization.Tuesday morning, a full 48-hours with no heat later, I called in again and was told there were techs packing up right then to head out. I asked for Jim to give me the courtesy of a return call later in the day so I could explain my frustrations and give him the opportunity to remedy the failures internally.The tech arrived, turned on the unit and declared that it was producing heat and essentially left without doing any diagnostics and testing of the unit to identify WHY the unit stopped in the first place.As of the writing of this review, there has still been no response from Jim or his organization and the ONLY call I have received from this is the return call from the on-call tech and that was after two no-heat calls.Whether the failures are due to worker overload, poor communication skills, gross incompetence, or just outright lack of concern, I cannot in good faith recommend Jim Godbout's organization at this time.

I found that the office staff were really flexible with regards to scheduling, and even though I had to cancel once, they rescheduled the visit with no problems. Travis, who did our garbage disposal install, was prompt, professional and did a great job.This is our first time as a customer of Jim Godbout's, and it certainly will not be our last! Thank you!

Around 2:00, I realized there was an issue with my water heater. I put a call into my property manager and within an hour Jim was at my door. He made a few phone calls, another half hour past and I had a whole crew in my apartment to change out the broken unit and install a new. Great customer service and fast resolution. That's all you can ask for. Thank you .

Jim Godbout's employees honestly lack communication and customer service skills. After finishing my services in December of 2019, they sent me a bill and I paid it right away. However, in March of 2020 they sent me another super large bill for the same date of services. I called them, Karen answered me and I tried to get some details and explanation of to why I am getting this large bill now? she started yelling at me and used unprofessional words to give me some information that I already knew about. Did I get a clear reason to why I did not get the whole bill on time?Noooo. And then she emailed me the whole bill including the first bill that I already paid. So they are charging me for a bill I paid and adding up something else to it (a large amount of money). Now, I have to pay for something that was done 3 months ago due to their lack of organization and planning. I honestly do not recommend them for anyone. Please check other places before contacting them.thanks.

These guys fixed my furnace quickly and it seems to be working fine.The problem I have is that they spent two hours talking to me about cannibal satanists that were infiltrating the school boards and the fact that JFK Jr. is going to rise from the dead and help Trump get back into the White House.Pretty good plumbers but averall horrible people.

I just had JGP install a new water heater system. My options were explained really well and I have so much hot water when and where it is needed. Jeremy is a perfectionist . So many people have complimented his neat and precise installation. So, my 2nd experience with JGP was as great as my first!

We have an old heating system in our church in Saco and had numerous leaks develop in the steam pipes. Our policy is to get several quotes on major repairs and we had two companies go down into the basement to evaluate the problem and presented a quote. Jim came third, went down into the space, came up some time later and said I've patched your system to buy you a couple of weeks to decide what to do....no charge. Who does that? Jim has a heart the size of a basketball for his community. He donates time, energy and resources to helping others and sets such a wonderful example of what it means to serve. I'm sorry to read that a couple of others out here have had a challenging experience but from my experiences those are the exception and not the rule.

Be careful !!!!Messages through office does not reach owner.. and when somehow after trying all avenues to address a Very rude employee.. ower Jim gadbout will talk to others , but not you..about your problems when it's none of other people's business.. this company does NOT address issues and owner is uncaring !!! Stay away !Does not matter if your family all were customers or how long you were a customer.. he apparently does NOT care... Please be aware !

Even though they couldn't help me with my request, the very nice woman I spoke with went out of her way to help me find the people who could help...she sent a list of other businesses that could help, even though she didn't have to do that, she could have easily said "no" and hung up. If you need plumbing work I would highly recommend them.

Van pulled out last minute in front of my fiancee in the middle of a snow storm almost causing an accident to where we had to swerve in the left lane and we almost hit the fed ex truck called these guys to tell them and had to leave a message because the lady was busy with a customer to take my call. Never got a call back. Whatever happened to safety first?
