What a hidden gem! Oysters on the half shell were phenomenal, as were the haddock tacos, the wine, and the lobster! The open patio let's you take in the entire, beautiful harbor and was the absolute best way to end a Maine Day. We will return! They were very kid friendly as well!Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu!

Lobsters were delicious, service was awesome, and just an overall awesome atmosphere for dining! There is a covered seating option as well, as it can get chilly on the water. Can't wait to return next year!Kid-friendliness: It's on a rock, so the kids have a blast running around and watching the boats come into the harbor!Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, just a nice flat dock with a bit of a downhill to reach the seating and ordering area.

Best place for having Maine lobsters. It's a bit in the middle of nowhere but the atmosphere is great and you sit on a deck overlooking the bay. I go for the 2 lobsters and corn and sack of clams for I think $30. Bring your own table cloth and beer/wine or anything extra you want to bring. And they're dog friendly!

June 2021: Good: lobsters and oysters were good. Lobster are 13 dollars a pound, a dozen oysters 34 dollars. There are tables under the tent and some in the sun.Bad: bathrooms are porta potties dirty, smelly and not what you want coming out the pandemic. Parking lot is very limited.

Excellent Fish Tacos eaten while sitting on a good size deck with wonderful views of the harbor. Very nice picnic tables, ample shade. Friendly, caring staff; good prices

Parking? Bit difficult, may not be able to get a spot. Literally everything else? Amazing, right on the ocean too! Bit of a story with this place. After having a disappointing, bland lobster roll in Portland, I drive up the coast to the Pimaquid light house. There i get laughed at for having lobster rolls in Portland, and am then pointed here. Arriving here, I also recount to the employees how the lobster rolls I have had were bland and disappointing. Again, they laugh, take my card, and hand me one of their lobster rolls. Holy mother of God, it was on that day that I discovered lobster roll. It was like going from a big Mac, to a tomahawk steak. Try their Pimaquid oysters, to die for as well. If you find yourself craving Maine seafood, skip Portland and head up the coast a bit for some quality Mainer food.Edit:After posting this I wanted to let folks know, there's two shacks. One to the left right after you park, this one just sells whole lobster or clams (raw or cooked). Keep going a bit, there's a bar and the actual joint itself on the right.

You cannot beat the prices or the ambiance. You do not need to order a whole dinner but instead can just order lobster, mussels, clams, etc, either live or cooked The charge you by the lb. So, for a cooked hard shell lobster goes for $10 a lb. For a soft shell goes for $8 lb. Uncooked take about two dollars off. Give you a comparison, at a restaurant in Rockland I payed $28 for a 1.5 lb softshell, which would go for about $12 here. Yes there were potatoes, but it's not worth the extra 16. You also can by sides here if so inclined. Great thing is that you can bring your own drinks and food to supplement. The outside eating area has covered and open tables. The view of the harbor is great and worth the visit by itself. This is what I have been looking for during the last week in Maine.

Top notch lobster roll & some of the finest onion rings I've ever had. The pies available for dessert afterwards are clearly made fresh & a worthy denouement.

Along with Pemaquid Seafood and The Contented Sole, Muscongus Bay Lobster is one of the three lobster pounds to eat along the Pemaquid peninsula. Friendly staff and perfectly cooked lobsters right on the water. We hope to return again before our vacation ends.

9 of us ate here for lunch about 1:30 on 7/11. There was supposed to be a "festival" but there was not. 3 of us are visiting Boothbay Harbor from Ohio and love eating at the restaurants there. We visited here because the other 6 of us had friends in this area. This one was very inferior to our other experiences. Higher prices, smaller quantities. Crab cake sandwich for $20 just fair. Lobster Roll was $32, with a small thick bun, lots of bread, and less lobster than we usually get. I think this is about 5oz vs the 8oz in Boothbay, 45 minutes away. Just not happy at all. Well below expectations.

Great little place on the water. Excellent prices for lobster. A lot of the other dishes were a bit pricey. Bring your own drinks. And seemed like a lot of folks were also bringing their own appetizers / sides.

Love the lobster dinners..who wouldn't! Steamed clams or mussels with the lobster is just a wonderful bonus. Had oysters as an appetizer. This year's crop especially plump and delicious. Surprise..the pasta with Alfredo sauce is fabulous for non seafood eating friends.

Although it was a rainy evening, the staff and food were remarkable and memorable! A beautiful drive from Boothbay Harbor but to be honest, the BEST scallops, oyster selections I’ve experienced this trip! I can’t wait to go backVegetarian options: Caesar Salad was divine

Disappointing. A crab cake that they charged $15 for was tiny , thin, and way overpriced. Lobster roll also disappointing. Roll fell apart; lobster fairly tasteless; very little except the fish on the bread; outrageously overpriced at $34. when you order a lobster without the full dinner you actually have to pay for butter. the corn was excellent.

Little stand on Round Pond (the one on the right as you come in). What you can get - lobster, and sometimes corn on the cob... that's it. Bring your other goodies... salad, fruit, crackers and cheese, drinks (any kind) and enjoy the serene setting. My #1 lobster place, and I have to drive 3 hours to get there.

Wish I had listened to the previous reviewer who said it was the worst lobster roll he had ever had. It was way overpriced and just some chunks of lobster in a mayo sauce. And not that much lobster at all. We spent over $70 on the subpar lobster roll, 6 oysters, a crab cake (which was too salty and still raw in the middle) and a piece of corn. Do yourself a favor and SKIP IT. Wish we had…

First time here and it did not disappoint. Great fresh lobster, corn and mussels. Husband had haddock tacos. He said they were delicious. Great waterside views on a gorgeous day. Staff here was excellent! Very friendly and took great care of us. We will be back.

The pluses are: fantastic setting and very good staff, nice bar set up.Incredibly overpriced compared to almost every other place I’ve been to in Maine this summer. Oysters are less expensive per dozen at the finest sit down restaurants in Maine. The lobster and crab rolls are good, but eye wateringly expensive, 10-13 dollars more than comparable places. Ouch

We had high hopes which were dashed with the only ok food. The shrimp cocktail featured limp and soggy crustaceans. The lobster roll was ok, not great or special. The bar featured a wonderful selection of craft beers. This was the highlight for my partner. Views are pretty.

Extreme disrespect for tourists and customers - I have been a customer here for over 20 years. It is a nice place with good food and normally not too crowded... a kind of hidden gem. I have often visited here with my mother. Last week I decided to take my wife, and we drove 3 hours to get there. During the whole ride I am telling her how nice the restaurants is... and how much she is going to like it. Upon arriving we saw there was a rope about waist high across the dock where the restaurant is located. I stepped a little past the rope to see the front of the restaurant so I could see what was going on ( after all we drove 3 hours and the website said it was open- it was a Wednesday- open W-Su). A very aggressive man, full of rage, came from behind a wall on the dock and shouted at me: "Get off the dock!.....The rope is there for a reason!" I got behind the rope. He disappeared and came back a second time...even angrier and flailing his arms- " We're not open!!! We're closed!!!" His extreme rage and aggression took me by surprise. My wife was shocked. What had been a pleasant day was now soured by this ugly incident. By the man's use of 'we' I take it he works for the restaurant. Why couldn't a sign have been placed indicating that the business was closed? This would have solved the problem of everyone wondering - because I was not the only person that day who was curious about the status of the restaurant. Such rage and disrespect towards a long-time customer has left a bitter memory of this place.

Small portions and high pri ces. Been here many times and liked it but not this time. Ordered fish tacos because the lobster prices were so high. I guess there was some fish but mostly cabbage. As far as the bar goes I ordered a draft beer which came to $7 something. Gave the woman $8 cash and she said thanks...no change offered. Guess she figured the change was her tip...which is all she got. I would have left more!!

This place is fantastic. A very long line... almost an hour from the time we got there to the time we got dinner. It is well worth the wait. The chowder was delicious. The lobster was perfectly cooked. The fingerling potatoes we outstanding...but the star of the meal was the steamed mussel. The flavor was perfect, they were so clean.Go, and go again
