My wife and I recently had a 34-panel solar system installed by Cazeault Solar. The level of professionalism and expertise we received from them went beyond our expectations. We had several companies bidding for our system, and while Cazeault was very competitive with the others, their sales, service, office staff, and installers set them apart. Cazeault was exceptionally professional and extremely responsive. They were also respectful of our property and made sure to take aesthetics into account, endeavoring to minimize any disruptions to our schedule. Cazeault replaced part of our roof last week. It is no longer leaking, so we are thrilled with that! But we were really pleased with the respect for my in-home business - they were willing to schedule around my work and made sure there was access for my clients at all times. Cazeault replaced our entire roof--and everything about their work was high quality.Evan Lawler was very responsive to questions, came more than once to review options and to discuss his thoughts. I was dubious at first if we needed a total replacement--but Cazeault folks were right: as they took off the old shingles it was apparent that the plywood underneath was rotted throughout. The office staff was always helpful. The crew that replaced the roof worked tirelessly for long hours each day--and for more days than they anticipated--without complaint or extra charges for the time. We were introduced to Cazeault Solar and Home by the folks at FranklinWH Energy Storage Inc after two years of frustration trying to find an installer for a home battery backup solution. We were looking for something that would work with our existing 8.5 kW solar system at our home on Boston's North Shore. We contacted at least seven other installers who were representing other battery manufacturers and in every case, they were unable to meet our needs. Whether it was the kind of inverter we were using or the complexity of rewiring the loads or the fact that they were too far away or too busy with other work, we had absolutely no luck and were giving up hope. But then we met Cazeault and everything changed. They were very responsive, both initially and throughout our work with them, they came up with an ingenious design that minimized need for expensive additional equipment, they were 100% on time and on budget for a price that was very reasonable. As for the human factors, whether it was the sales person we met first, the technical staff who designed and carried out the project, or the excellent contacts inside their office, they are the nicest people one could hope to meet. We thought they were a very happy crew, always laughing and joking with one another as they worked. Navigating the town permitting and utility interfacing was accomplished speedily and efficiently. And the whole project was over from start to finish in less than four months. We would heartily recommend Cazeault to anyone looking for this kind of solution to home energy management!Incidentally, the backup from FranklinWH was fantastic as well.

Solar panel installation1. The sales phase gave us a design and we discussed the options and pros and cons. The sales rep even went out of his way to meet with the fire department in our town to assure that the installation would be approved. As a local company, they knew about the process and preferences of our location.2. Working with Cazeault - the install does not happen the week you sign the contract. Cazeault works with the town and the utility. But once the approvals came in, Cazeault scheduled the installation which took literally less than a day. Minor snags that came up were dealt with quickly and we are very happy with the Cazeault team and the result. I also want to note that the proposal projected saving and system output were, if anything, a bit conservative. I especially appreciated the attention and communication with Charlie - who led the implementation and Joy who handled everything at the office. They always had the time to explain things and get prompt answers to my questions. A special call out to Jon who was our first contact and laid out are system. It took a year or so for us to get our ducks in a row and the whole team was very helpful.3. At some point during the sales cycle, I got an email from our financial advisor recommending that we proceed with the installation from a financial point of view. This was unsolicited and a welcome opinion.4. Cazeault completed the installation in mid-April and the utility switched us on a week or so later. We have not paid a penny in electric since and have a 600 credit with electric company ( note: this was for Massachusetts and states have different rules and refs. The irs has 30% tax credit which you can use for multiple years until it is all applied to income. Ie multiple tax years. My CPA mapped out a plan that lets us convert Ira holdings in a way that keeps the tax rate level. Check with your tax person.) Massachusetts has a 1000 tax credit.5. Cost and tax credits. We worked with 3 vendors and chose Cazeault because they are a local company recommended highly by my electrician. Pricing is hard to directly compare because designs differed, but Cazeault was a little higher but proposed a larger array. I checked with two customers who were very happy with their systems.6. The Enphase microinverter monitoring site/app lets us track production and consumption. Just having a realtime graphic that shows production and consumption is amazing. Seeing what you are consuming naturally leads you to conserving. (“Holy cow, that dryer uses a ton of power. Let’s not run half loads.” Or “shut off the mini splits when we don’t really need them”). Result is (in January) we have a $600 credit with our utility and are projecting that we will pay nothing for electric when we reach the 1 year mark. Granted, we still paid for the system, but based on their projection, we will be at break even before the 10th year. Prior years we paid about 3000 a year for electricity.We are very glad we chose Cazeault Home and Solar. We like that they are a local company and they have been great (and patient) every step of the way.

We had a large solar panel system installed by Cazeault Solar & Home, and were 100% pleased with the whole process from start to finish. They met every commitment date on time (or better) and most importantly had a high level of communication and responsiveness to the whole process. This was my one and only solar system installation, and they really put my mind at ease that things would go smoothly and I would have a complete and fully functional system. The bid price was very competitive, I checked again others and standard indexes and the high level of service seems to come at no extra cost!

This year we used Cazeault for the second time for the installation of a solar system. Our experience was even better than anticipated! They carefully identify if solar is appropriate, and how many panels, and how long they estimate it will take to break even on the purchase and install price. Installation was quick; National Grid quickly installed its equipment; and we were on our way. Cazeault took care of all of the fairly complicated paperwork, explained the monitoring and payment system patiently and thoroughly; we had none of the confusion and problems others report with other companies. We give them our highest recommendation!

One of the best decisions I made concerning my home in 2018 was hiring Cazaeult Solar & Home to install solar panels on my roof. Every aspect of this decision was impressive from the first in home sales appointment I made, to the technical discussion once I committed to the installation, and the installation itself was incredible. We hired Cazeault primarily for installation of a solar system, but that also entailed repairing a roof. They were responsive and attentive at every stage of the relationship -- from the estimate, the proposal and then the actual installation. They finished the job quickly and on time and assumed responsibility for just about every aspect of the job, which made the whole thing very easy for us, and they were always quick to respond to questions. I have heard many horror stories about other solar companies, and I can't imagine that any solar company exceeds the quality and responsiveness of Cazeault. I would hire them again in a minute.

I am an electrician and have installed a solar array on my previous home. When considering doing it myself on my new home, I decided that the roof angle was too steep for me. I called a friend that owns a large commercial solar company and he recommended Cazeault Solar for my project. Three years ago, I needed to have my roof replaced. I had heard of Cazeault as they had installed solar panels on 3 houses in my neighborhood. After getting feedback I decided to not only have the roof replaced, but also get solar panels installed. From the time they removed the old shingles to the installation of the last panel, I was kept updated every step of they way. Cazeault was professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. We had leaking gutters and some spillover during heavy rains. New gutters were recommended because of their age, and about half the fascia boards behind them were rotting, so we got 3 quotes. Tim from Cazeault carefully evaluated the house and recommended PVC to replace the rotting wood, 6 inch gutters where the water flow was greatest, and normal 5 inch gutters everywhere else. It took a little time for him to complete his quote, but the price was comparable to others, and the level of detail was much better. (Roofing and solar are their main lines of business, but they also handle gutters.)The communication was excellent. The crew came when expected. The work was done carefully and completely, and during his follow-up walkthrough, Tim found a few things to be fixed up. Again, the attention to detail was excellent, with follow-up to make sure everything was done just right. The work was nor fast or inexpensive, but it was so carefully done that I would absolutely call Cazeault again for any gutter, roofing or solar issue.Addendum: Unfortunately, a few days after posting this review, I discovered that in one place, water leaked between the gutter and the fascia board, which should never happen. I emailed Tim, who sent his foreman and crew back a few days later. They found that caulking had been left out on a 3 foot area of the gutter. They checked other parts of the gutter system. We are waiting for rain to see how everything is now. Although that should not have happened, their response was quick.Service: Gutter installation

I have had the pleasurable experience of working with Cazeault on both my home and my office building. In both cases they replaced the roof and installed solar panels. All work was done professionally and in a timely fashion. But that is not the best part. The service we have received has been no less than extraordinary. I had a remote control airplane crash on my solar panels on the office building and the team was out right away to assess the problem. In a day all repairs were accomplished. They stand by their work and monitor the system routinely. On my house roof I had a squirrel infestation. Again, the team was on it and the minor repairs were made and the problem resolved in short order.
