Bob and Jake from Star Construction just finished a living room/fireplace/new office renovation at our home. I am not a fan of doing home projects, but Bob and Jake made it a lot less stressful than any project we have done before due to their constant, courteous and consistent communication. Questions were answered almost immediately, and if there was a problem or unexpected issue (which there almost always is with a renovation) they left no stone unturned to try to rectify it as soon as possible. Our home was always left clean each day, and it was clearly communicated when they would be back the next day. Bob has very high standards for the quality of his work and details are not overlooked.

Star has worked with us several times, twice for major renovations of income property we own. Absolutely great work! I really needed help in a hurry due to storm damage to my roof. Star Construction was there right away. They gave me a comprehensible estimate that I could submit to my insurance company. They came out right away to secure my property from further damage. They ordered the materials and began work the same week. The finished project was great. I had a chance to meet Kevin and got to watch a real professional work. He is great! Hiring a contractor is a tough decision. I would have no problem recommending Star Construction to anyone. Take it from me, they are a great company with a great owner and do great work! I am not a customer of Star Construction however I operate a Handyman business and have had the opportunity to work with Bob and his crew on several occasions. What I saw while working for Bob was impressive. Professional, knowledgeable, proficient and highly experienced are a combination that is rare to find these days. When I cencounter a job that is too big for my small one man operation I refer my customers to Star Construction since I will not recommend anyone that does less than great work.

I'm trying to figure out if the other reviewers are talking about the same company I am because my experience with Bob at Star Construction was horrible. We had a signed contract for a set price on a new roof. When he was finished, he claimed materials were stolen from our driveway, the roof and materials were bigger than estimated, and he wanted thousands more than the contracted amount. After we paid in full, he put a lien on our house and filed a lawsuit. I would stay away from this contractor.I have read Bob's response, and he was paid for the service he provided. There was no sale of property. We have lived here for over 15 years. I did fail to mention that after the new roof was installed, I had to call another roofer as we had water leaking and damage. All I can say is..be warned.

Bob and his team transformed my 30 year old kitchen into a fabulous new design with improved function and storage. It was better than I ever imagined my kitchen could look. The Candlelight cabinets are such high quality. Dave at Jack's Custom Woodworking was so helpful to me in selecting cabinet options and hardware. Jake did a lot of the construction work and installation. His attention to detail and work ethic were impressive. There was no punch list at the end of this job. It was done right. Gerald was the electrician and worked with me and the team on every detail.They have a highly skilled team and deliver a quality result. I recommend them without any hesitation..

Bob and his crew from Star Construction did a wonderful job with our third floor dormer project providing my wife and me with a private suite, which included a bedroom, ensuite bathroom and office. A few years later they followed up with a kitchen redesign that changed the layout and improved the overall functionality. Bob is very responsive; he answers his phone and keeps his word. We recently hired Star Construction Company to do a small remodel of our 1960's kitchen. It entailed moving & reinstalling old 1960's cabinets in a pantry area, installing new cabinets for new appliances and rebuilding our old sink area to accommodate a new farmhouse sink. Jake and TJ were excellent! Their level of detail and interaction with us was just what we had hoped. They arrived on time each day, were very friendly and cleaned up each day. Our work was done in a matter of 4 day, tops. We were in a time crunch and they accommodated our schedule. We are so very pleased and will definitely use them again for future projects. Had a roof replaced by this company and I have had multiple roof leaks around chimney and skylights. I had to hire a secondary company to repair a hole in the shingles (looked like hammer damage) and re-flash the chimney and now the skylights. Many more issues. Very dissatisfied.
