Fantastic and professional work from start to finish. Certainly a long and bureaucratic process, that of which Devlin Energy & Phoenix Power takes care of everything, so patience is key.All crew members were courteous, friendly, knowledgeable , and treated our home with respect and care.Very impressed that on the day of installation, Jake from Phoenix Power showed up with lunch for the crew and us (the homeowners).Even more impressed that when it came time for the town inspection, a gentleman (Steve?) from Devlin Energy was on-site available to answer any of the inspector’s questions and concerns (which they weren’t any). Now that’s professionalism and ensuring quality.

Had Devlin install 16 panels on my roof at the end of last year. Kyle in sales helped provide us with a solution to meet our energy needs and the rest of the team kept us up to date with the process and paperwork. Installation day was easy and unobtrusive and we are now generating great clean energy. Devlin also provided the best pricing compared to quite a few other quotes we received.Overall a good experience and would highly recommend!

I've revised this review several months after the installation of my system. Our experience with the sales team was straightforward and they provided an efficient thorough quote without trying to push lease or PPA options.The roof and solar installation went smoothly, and so far the system is working as advertised.Our experience ever since the solar installation has been less stellar. Our system was left on for a full month after the installation before we had permission to operate (PTO) which resulted in us paying ~$250 extra to National grid without reimbursement.Devlin upgraded us to 200A service after installing our panels but before we were able to receive PTO. This process took several months, and the scheduling and communication was poor resulting in numerous requests for updates, contractors showing-up and being unable to perform their work due to improper sequencing, and several summer months of lost solar production.And finally, the company has been unable to provide an itemized receipt for our roofing materials after >6 months of constant requests. I let our salesperson know that we needed this information for a company rebate before we signed the agreement, and the company has been ignoring and evading requests by my wife and I for unknown reasons. This is preventing us from receiving hundreds of dollars in rebates.

Kyle Boyd and the rest of the Devlin Energy team have been great. From discussions about getting solar panels, to the installation and the guys doing the work, to questions about how it all works. Everything is done by one company not 2 or 3. Our panels have been up and running for 3 month and we still feel comfortable reaching out to Kyle for the answers.

I was interested in solar for a long time but was never impressed with the marketing schemes like PPA’s and leasing. A friend of mine was going through the process and recommended Devlin. My friend is the kind of guy that like me, does his research. He hooked me up with Andy Marker as my sales representative. Andy was thorough and answered all of my questions in a reasonable amount of time. Any concerns I had were rectified immediately. After a few zoom meetings we had settled on a system with a battery backup and the paperwork was signed. Once the permits were prepared which given your AHJ may take different amounts of time but I received a call asking if they can start the install in a week while I was on my way out of town. We had to push back the date a bit but the crew arrived and with very few hiccups the install was done in 4 days. The install was subcontracted to a company called 7th Generation solar. After the install there was a lengthy time between getting my power company to swap the meters and approve the system. After the system was approved for permission to operate by the power company (2 months after install) I ran into some issues with the system and a solar breaker tripping. Devlin was responsive and given my frustration I was given to the owners to speak to. Less than a week after my official permission to operate and conversations with devlin trying to troubleshoot what the problem was Devlin had an electrician from 7th Generation Solar on site to swap out a bad breaker and I have had no issues since then. Keep in mind my house is new construction and after dealing with the builder and various contractors and many many many delays this process was easy and in the end of the day I’m happy with the results. Thank you again Andy, Alicia Lefebvre, and Ed Devlin, and any other devlin staff that assisted with getting this system done, despite my impatience.

From the sales staff, to office administrators and the installation team, everyone within this company made installing solar panels and easy and pain free process. They were receptive and quickly responded to all questions we had, and the final product works incredibly well.

------- Update March 2024 -------After my original, one-star review, I received prompt outreach from Matthew Devlin. He said he took the issues very seriously and would make it right, and he did come through on that promise. My family also received an apology from the salesperson who seemed to have dropped the ball. While there still seem to be systemic training/process issues within this company, I now believe it's mostly "growing pains" and their leadership has positive intent. I was on the cusp of bumping this up to a four-star review but then my family received a message from the roofing company, hired through Devlin, that said their check from Devlin had bounced - another concerning development; their finance department is looking into it. Overall, the whole experience --- even after the president of the company inserted himself into it --- was far more frustrating than my parents imagined it could be (and they have dealt with many contractors and projects over the years). In fairness, some of the frustration isn't Devlin's fault, like issues with getting CMP records updated, but Devlin's inadequate support/account management also made it more difficult than it should have been to get that sorted out. I increased this review to three stars and wouldn't necessarily say to avoid Devlin Solar now, but I would go in with eyes open and know you may have to expend a lot of time and effort to make sure your job is taken care of and that you get what you're promised. I would also suggest that the company make it easier for customers to contact someone for help if they aren't getting decent service instead of needing a negative review to get the attention of someone who can make things right.------- Original Review December 2023 -------Devlin Energy has given my family the run-around and has been incredibly frustrating to deal with. We have signed contracts and are already paying the monthly financing but have no solar panels yet. It is incredibly difficult to actually talk to someone at Devlin and has been a struggle to get responses to basic questions. The salesperson we were working with is now MIA and the latest account manager has said they know nothing about our project and think it's "going to fall into 2024 installs bucket". We have been working with them on this for six months, since May 2023! The project requires a roof replacement, which was promised as a benefit to working with Devlin and a key part of our discussions with them from the start. We are on the verge of contacting the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General. I would not do business with Devlin again.

Devlin energy handled our solar array installation. The salespeople we worked with were very knowledgeable. We opted to purchase our array outright using cash and they were very helpful throughout the process. The installation took some time because demand for solar is high right now, that's not Devlin's fault. The installation was done in a day and is beautiful to look at. We wanted symmetry on the roof, and we have it. The entire process from the time we contacted Devlin, to the time we got permission to operate was just over 7 months. The array is up and running and even on cloudy days is producing more electricity than we use. I would highly recommend Devlin for your solar project. They crossed all the T's and dotted all the I's. Thank you Devlin!!!

Roy and his team came to our house a couple weeks ago and did an amazing install, looks great and they left the place spotless. Devlin has been great I actually went through the process twice and backed out the first time but they were understanding and happy to help when we were finally ready to pull the trigger. I reached out to Devlin in the fall of 2022 for a 6kw solar panel system. I shopped around with multiple quotes from other providers, but decided to go with Devlin because: 1. They are local, 2. Great reviews, 3. Pricing is competitive (even though not the lowest).They installed my panels in June and did a great job. Everyone I worked with, from their salesperson (Jonathan Jacobs) to their project manager (Cindy Ingemi) were highly professional. They responded to my requests quickly and personally, often on the same day. Any issue that came up got notified to the team and were addressed in a timely manner. Even their installation guys took detailed care and checked in with me during the project install. In short, Devlin had good customer service, with employees who seems to really care and liked working there.I see Devlin as a local, medium sized business still growing and with ambition to be excellent in pleasing their customers. 5/5 for my experience working with them. Thanks guys.

We received our solar panels and it was an okay experience- some screws left around the yard.However the referral system is an absolute SCAM. We referred friends there, per Sunnova the system project was not marked completed on Devlin’s end. I have called Devlin multiple times, sent emails and messages through the app to no avail, not a single response. Once they have your money they’re in no rush to follow through on their referral program. Definitely will not be referring any one else in the future.

Devlin does not pay their suppliers and consultants. So if you don't want a lien filed on your property, it would be a good idea to get your solar array elsewhere.

When my wife & I became interested in solar for our home, we reached out to Devlin Solar, and we couldn't be happier with their expertise, service, and execution. After a custom consultation with Debbie, we opted for 30x Enphase panels, which offsets our energy consumption, and should more or less eliminate our electric bill. We plan to add on battery storage later, to power our home through a blackout. If you're interested in going green, we highly recommend reaching out to Devlin Solar!

Our array is very well designed and installed, and at a competitive price compared with national brands. Unfortunately after we paid in full the Devlin team has let our project sit idle and two months later we don’t have a meter swap scheduled and have had totally inadequate updates.EDIT: Dropping from 3 to 1 star. Since I originally posted the President of Devlin Energy emailed to say he would be personally involved in resolving whatever issues and getting our solar installation connected/meter swapped - that was 3 weeks ago and we have heard 0 communication from Devlin or our utility. Our $35,000 (paid for) solar installation still looks great but is doing nothing. This is why I suggest future customers do not pay in full until PTO (permission to operate), something Devlin would not agree to with us, but I very much regret.ADDITIONAL EDIT: Rising from 1 star to 4. 3 months after Devlin fully installed our panels we are finally connected to the grid and benefitting from our investment. It is clear that Eversource was not easy for Devlin to work with, but the lack of communication from Devlin to us and the lack of expertise in anticipating the utility's administrative requirements keeps me from giving 5 stars. Our panels look really great, I do recommend future customers use Devlin based on quality of work and price but try to negotiate holding onto your cash until PTO.

I want to write a good review but I have had nothing but poor communication at best, painfully slow response times and a brand new system that for the 1.5 years its been on my house has maybe been working properly for 3-4 months. I really hope they step up their act and remedy this situation. Between the lost production, paying for electricity that I shouldn't be, even the tax credit documents not being handled correctly has put me in the red far more than I care to think.

I initiated contact with the company in early April, promptly receiving a flurry of calls from their sales team—three in a single day. A sales representative named Alexandra became my main point of contact. During our conversation, she provided some guidance and requested specific documents, which I immediately submitted. The following day, she acknowledged their receipt and advised me to expect a few weeks' delay for further processing.As a month passed with no update, I found myself compelled to reach out to Alexandra for a progress report. She informed me that they were experiencing some backlog, assuring me that I would receive a response within a month. Regrettably, when I attempted to contact her a month later, my communications were ignored.My initial two-month wait, marked by a hope of simply initiating the process, ended in silence on their part. This company has a trail of complaints highlighting their perennial struggle with customer service, ostensibly due to being overly busy. While I cannot confirm the veracity of their claimed busyness, my personal experience of a two-month wait for an estimate, followed by complete disregard, certainly paints a negative picture. To potential customers, I suggest caution: their customer service could leave you disappointed and frustrated as it did me.

We started looking into solar in the spring when our rates when up. We went with Devlin Solar and so far the experience has been very smooth. They estimated it would take 2-3 months to get hooked up and the timeline was accurate. The panels are producing at a rate so that we haven't had an electric bill since it was turned on in June. Customer service has been prompt and professional when we have had any questions or issues.

If you want a great customer experience, quality components and a clean installation there is no other option. I shopped around and Devlin was the only one offering quality components, a clean install and no pressure sales at a competitive price. Andy answered every question I had about the system and finances on the front end, Roy and team did an amazingly clean install with nothing but respect for the house and property. Everyone one I have spoken to asks me about my experience so far. If you want attention to detail, patiences and professionalism look no further than Devlin.

Update: I’m updating my review because I finally got in contact with some one who helped me and because of him all my panels are working again.Old review:Everything was going good until I noticed almost half of my panels were not reporting power production. I tried to contact support to help me with this issue, since it hasn't been a year since the installation and the issue started. They did not pick up the phone listed in the app. Then, I finally got in contact with someone and I was told they where going to wait until there was an installation near by to send someone, which is not acceptable because my energy bill does not wait. I'm paying a lot of money for something defective they installed and not support at all. Its being almost 3 weeks nobody has come to check my system and I don't even have a date of when they are planining to come to help. I need help, my billed is increasing and loan has to be paid too.

After reading some really good reviews, I wish I could say my experience was great. I can't. This company gave me the absolute minimum attention and service they could get away with, and if it weren't for the very nice installation crew and the guy who came to meet the electrical inspector, I would give them 1 star.The "salesperson" assigned to me was a ghost. I had one or two contacts in the beginning with her which happened only after I left multiple messages. It was unclear who was supposed to be guiding me through the entire process, but it certainly was not her.The experience of getting a quote, waiting for installation, and what comes afterward has many steps, and requires support from the seller and hand-holding with the customer. This is not how it went. I had many questions throughout and found it difficult to get answers.The company should give every customer a flow chart that show the process from start to finish, and whom to contact if help is needed. Each time something happened, I had to ask what the next step would be and who would execute it. I had to call the office or email the one person there who actually responded to me. This needs serious streamlining.The amazing thing is, you would think such a disorganized firm would also lag in their billing, but, in fact, they had the bills out in nanoseconds; way faster than anything else they did. If they did everything else as quickly and efficiently as they did the billing, they would get 5 stars.I put down a 30% deposit ( 7k) at the signing of the contract. 2 months later, I still hadn't been given an installation date. If I had not asked the person who referred Devlin to me to nudge them, I don't know how long it would have gone on. The installation was finally started 3 months after I paid the deposit. They sat on that money for that long! And you can be sure that the bill for the balance was in my mailbox the morning of the installation!I am happy that the installation is complete and excited that my system is running. I am now waiting for responses to a phone call and an email from last week. No follow up whatsoever. Sale done.On to the next!If all solar companies are run this way, I feel sorry for future customers. If the salesperson was the person who should have coordinated my job, shame on her. I personally worked in sales for many years and this woman has the easiest sales job on the planet. Any commission she got was undeserved. No referrals coming from me. I just hope someone reads this review and listens.

We used delvin to go solar and they were fantastic to deal with. They sent us Jonathan and was the best, Was on time answered all our questions and even after the install he still answers questions that we have. Cannot say anything bad about Jonathan and the guys at delvin. I wish we went solar earlier.
