Father and Son has TOTALLY ABANDONED this job and parts of the remodel didn’t pass City Inspection. I entered into a contract with Father and son December 2020 for a simple 9’ x 17’ kitchen addition… May of 2021, they spent 1 week digging & pouring the foundation and 2 months later they spent 9-14 days Framing. August 2023, still waiting for them to complete the job. I waited almost a year for 1 door & 4 casement windows to come in, When they finally came back APRIL 2022, only 1 window had a crank handle and none of the windows had screens… the 1 window with a crank doesn’t work and the window looks bowed… I ordered a brown left handed door and received a white right handed door. The siding that they put up to cover the facial board is very dimpled… the white door has loose rubber coming from the bottom and they positioned the door so that I can’t get a screen door added which means I can’t open the door or the windows for fresh air… I’m in the process of suing them. They drywalled over an outlet, the gutter that they put on the addition vibrates so loud when the wind blows… the gas line to my stove is set out too far and stands to high so my range can’t be pushed back to the wall.. PLEASE run from this company, there is a reason why this company habitually gets low ratings… this is NOT the same Father and Son Construction Co. that my parents used years ago.. Spend your money elsewhere! I had been shopping around for a couple of years with various gutter companies to get my gutters & downspouts replaced. I kept running into dead ends because I also needed some work done to the wood that the gutters were attached to, as well as some trim work. Every place I called came out and gave me immediate estimates, but when I brought up the other repairs that needed to take place first, they told me that they ONLY do gutters.......nothing else. At that point, I realized that what I needed was a contractor & I called Father & Son. Matt, my construction superintendent was outstanding. Not only was he a great guy that I immediately liked, but he was very honest about the whole process & made some great suggestions about my overhangs & trim. The best part was that they completed both phases of the job within a month. First, the trim guys came out & did fantastic work, and then within a week, the gutter crew finished the job. They all did great work, and I can finally breathe easier when it starts to rain hard. I can even look out my sliding glass door again when it's raining hard & see my back yard instead of water pouring off my roof. They did such a good job that I plan on using them next for a bathroom remodel in 2023! I can't say enough good things about my experience with Father & Son Construction! I really appreciate your professionalism!

Scheduled a quote for an addition on our home earlier in the week - she said we could do 9am-2. Why not 9am she said so we can have the rest of our weekend? Lol - absolutely! Well it’s 3pm and they never showed up! Jokes on you guys now I definitely don’t want you to come by. On to the next contractor. Thanks for nothing! No call, nothing!

I have used this company twice for the kitchen addition and then the remodeling. My team consists of Vince, the project manager, Jimmy my sales rep, Chris the cabinet demo guy, Matt the electrician and many more.However, by far, my absolute favorite is Marti the “cabinet finisher”! He is highly skilled and did an exceptional job handling my cabinets, putting the handles on, all around trim and just overall the kind of guy you would trust to do an entire remodel. He is the most professional, kindest and trustworthy carpenter I have encountered over the past few decades. We appreciate his expertise and thoughtfulness in care for our kitchen was was in need of a complete miracle and prayer. He deserves a bonus for all his hard work! The Rep called the day before to confirm our appointment. However, he wanted to change the time but we could not accommodate the time change request. He began sharing he doesn't work Saturday's not sure why they gave our job to him...He asked the square footage of our home, then quoted us an astronomical price sight unseen. We asked, how can you quote a firm price when you've never seen what the job entails? He said that's the price you're looking at or more!Very bad business....

I contacted Father and son initially in Jan 2021 to have them paint all walls, ceilings, doors, inside closets install new flooring /carpet. install /wire for bedroom ceiling fan. paint kitchen cupboards, install granite countertops, new sink, faucet. Install new kitchen ceiling lights.- contract signed and deposit given. then they forgot all about me until I called them mid March. Justin came out early April to measure, have me pick out carpet- check for $5000 given to get them started. Its now late May and nothing has been done except for them to cash checks for roughly $5,500 . Its now mid August - all indoor surfaces painted except all closets ( in contract, not done ) painters left multi water bottle throughout the house and remnants of taco bell lunch for me to clean up.Items now broken/ missing /disconnected are broken clip to hang mini blind in bathroom , MIA 1 lamp finial, and 1 clamp to secure stairs railing , wires disconnected to stereo speakers- wires are tucked behind massive heavy entertainment center .. so far on 2 occasions construction crew showed up Unscheduled- without any notice . I WILL admit I stopped allowing any more to be done for roughly 4 sporadic weeks due to my vacations . still to be installed- carpet throughout , ( measured on 3 or 4 different occasions, picked out flooring on 3 diff occasions, )kitchen and foyer flooring, REpaint kitchen cupboards after REstripping. install granite countertops .. I guess when Jim initially said i(in Jan 2021 ) it would be completed by June. I should have asked what year ? 7/2022 UPDATE- in Oct or Nov 2021 I discovered that the kitchen cabinets still felt like they had not cured- I could remove paint with my fingernail. And the 2 tone wood look flooring (greyish/ beige ) in the kitchen was not staggered , it was mostly beige with 2 grey racing stripes going parallel down the middle of the kitchen floor, and they installed haphazzardly most of the grey in one spot near the back door. I was told by Vince to get the rest of the planks from the basement and lay them how I feel they should be (ah.. not my job or expertise but I did the best I could ) ..in early Dec the painters added another coat of paint on top of the other, and they attempted to fix the kitchen floor mess. they couldnt because they had used all the grey for a closet, and the mess at the back door PLUS the planks that I did lay on top of the mistake ones were not changed. as of today 7/2022 the kitchen cupboard paint is still gummy feeling, the paint on the trim around the doors can be peeled off , the interior doors still feel tacky , bathroom door paint recently got stuck to the painted frame when closed- when I forced it open- the paint came OFF the door ( guess it needs more time than 14 months to cure )Services: Install flooring, Fan installation, Installation, Paint indoors, Remodeling, Kitchen remodeling, Flooring

The gentleman that went to my mom's house to provide an estimate was very rude. First of all she wanted an estimate to replace the wood under the kitchen sink. Instead he wanted to keep talking about how another company did not lay my mom's floor correctly. Then he went on to say "you must have had someone you know to do the floors". He was very unprofessional, his demeanor showed that he did not want to be there and to try and charge my mother $5000 to replace the kitchen sink cabinets was way too much. We will not be using this company because of him. If you all continue to send out people in this fashion you will continue to lose business. The gentleman might want to check his attitude at the door before entering anybody else's home. Tip: Don't offer an opinion if it isn't asked for just provide the estimate on what the customer requested.

I'm satisfied with the team that did our work. We got our front porch back deck driveway and sidewalk and the garage with gutters for the garage and house back door with screen door with all new lights on the garage and back deck. I will call these guys again because we were the talk of the street.

Father and Son built us an attached garage almost 2 years ago. We have never been happier with the work. In the past I have hired contractors with terrible experiences but not with Father and Son. My wife and I comment all the time how glad we are that we went with them. I would never hesitate to hire them again every day they were at the site to make sure the job was completed correctly. Do yourself a favor and hire them you will not be sorry.

My husband had met with several contractors before settling with this awful company. He met with Mike Kreuz the project manager who appeared to be a professional. He reported it would take 3 weeks to complete rebuilding a new garage. The project took 2 months. They tore down the previous garage on 6/8 and did not come back for at least 3 weeks to do anything else. We had to call to check on when they would be showing up. They destroyed my front yard by pouring remaining cement water on my lawn and did not view it as a problem until I confronted them. Once the garage was completed there was several problems that had to be addressed . They finally would not respond to calls once they got paid. Please dont use them if you want to work with an honest and professional company. Do not trust Mike Kreuz. You will be disappointed.

Father And Son has done many jobs for me over the years. If you want a home improvement job done well, they ARE the ones to do it. From building a furnace or mechanical room in my basement, to extending a wall and adding an attractive glass "tree of life" door framed in wood. They do a job to brag about. They charge a lot . But their not for everybody. Are you worth a good job. I am.

Don't know half the people on these reviews ! I have worked for Father an Son for over 15 year's and have only had a few issues with projects that we were able to find a way to satisfy the customer !The negative review about the garage is a Joke ! First there is no one named Mike Kuerts that works for Father and son and second, Nobody could build a garage in a week with concrete work and inspections.I see Google reviews allow anyone to say anything !!!

As many other reviewers have mentioned, they have the slogan of "No jobs too big, no jobs too small", only to tell us our job was too small. We have water damage and a crack in the ceiling plaster in one room. The crack is a meter long. We needed the leak id'd and fixed and a new ceiling. I was told it was too small a job for them, "We don't chase down leaks, but we can do a roof tear off and replace if you'd like"...When I asked what they would do if the new roof they want to put on also leaked. He replied they would find and fix the leak, but they won't do that without a complete tear-off and re-roofing of the house...told it was too small a job for them to even estimate!

More like "Liar & Crook Construction"My encounter happened in 2016 and I cannot believe I didn't sit down to write my experience until now. Finally, here's what happened. I contacted this company for a quote for an addition & someone named Kip contacted me. He tries hard to be charming (but makes it him more creepy than charming). He swore heaven and sky that they can do the addition for about $80/SqFt so my total cost should be about $65K. Every other company said it would be around $100/SqFt. He also said they have in-house architect who does all the design so that things will go smoothly. But when I sat down to sign a basic contract, just before we started filling up the documents he said "our design can only be used with us". Being 1st time homeowner this should have been my warning shot and I should have ran from there like mad. But I didn't. I gave a $1000 check as an advance for the design. Then after a week a guy named "Mike Corrado" showed up. He said he is the architect/designer and took measurements. We talked about my design needs and the price per sqft and he said Kip knows all about it. But after 3-4 weeks I demanded a rough draft, but Mike was "really busy". Finally in 6th week Kip showed me a design that was 1/2 the Sq ft of what we wanted. When I asked what the hell going on, Kip called Mike and he said that is what can be done for for $64K, because for 1SqFt would cost $100. Otherwise, to do what I wanted it would costs $80K or more. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I asked Kip what the hell Mike is talking. Then this old $cum-bag said "I never said $80/SqFt. It is $100". At this point I get rid of him, because otherwise I might have done something I would regret later. I thought of going after these crooks for my $1000 advance. But I did not have any written proof that says they initially promised $80/SqFt. Plus I was to go on a long vacation and was occupied with that. So for anyone thinking hiring these crooks, you have been warned. Also, 1 more thing is that this company is not listed in Angie's List. That should have been my 2nd warning.

These guys have been dishonest inexperienced hacks since the 80's and still have not changed. I still have issues with a poor house addition from these guys. Not even close to square or even height and still leaks because they could not join the old and new structures correctly. Avoid these guys at all costs as it will save you your hard earned money. They should have gone out of business years ago but they keep scamming people into using them. When workers cannot even read architect plans, they have no business in the skilled trades. They get way too many hand shake deals with local inspectors that will cost you in the long run with the poor quality you will get. Avoid or accept being miserable. Their jingle should change to "All jobs are too big and no job can possibly be small enough for us to screw up".

Poor customer service. Don't use them. Unfortunately Father and son has not and will not be completing my remodeling. During my flooring portion of a more than $50,000 job, the flooring contractor sold his company. It took more than a year to get the new owners to come and correct the problem. The problem has been made worse. Now beside the floor being lumpy and unlevel, my wall has holes in it and the the sink was not correctly reinstalled. I was told there's nothing they can add o at this point because they are NOT in the flooring business any more. So do what i have to do. Wow, very disappointed. This was the response from Matt K. the project manager. I will be doing what i need to do. Very disappointed.

no job to small no job to big is false advertisement, we requested a small window area to be caulked or sealed and a vent pipe on our roof. for starters, was told they do not do that but would install a window, well so much for there slogan no job to small or to big lairs. but that OK we have thousands of dollar's in other bigger projects that need done glade to see were they relay stand so no work for them from us..

I called them for a small job to replace a stair rail upstairs with baluster. They called and left a message stating their minimum starting price for a job is $2500. No job too small? They are ridiculous. They dont do it all.

They were to come out and give a estimated on building a garage. The day of the appointment they called and said they won't come out and that they'll give estimated over the phone. Anyone to lazy to come out doesn't make me feel they want the job. I got someone else. Shame on father and son.

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THEM. They put the wrong type of windows in. When I told them it was not right, they didn't want 2 fix the mistake. After I finished paying them, they never lifted the lien on my home they put on. Buyer beware!
