I had a fantastic experience with Jim at McLean roofing. He was extremely friendly, professional and kept all of his promises. The price was very reasonable and the job was done when promised. He always answered my calls and additionally, he would surprise me with updates that weren’t really even necessary. I almost used another company that was slightly cheaper butJim did roofs on 2 homes for a relative so I decided to go with the “known” quantity. Glad I did. I was away at work when they did the job but 2 of my neighbors that were home were very impressed with the crew and one of them will probably hire McLean for their roof. Thank you for the wonderful experience

The owner, Jim, came out to check out a possible roof leak. When I called, I spoke to a very nice woman that took my info. Shortly after, Jim called and said he’ll be out the next day to check out the situation. He came out and gave his thoughts, and was very honest. There was absolutely no forced sales pitch or pressure from him. I will be calling them for every roofing and siding need that I have going forward, and will be recommending them to anyone whenever I get the opportunity. They seem to be the good, honest type of business we all hope to experience. Thank you, Jim!

Jim is an absolute professional. He had earlier come over in the dead of winter to repair a leak on our 20 year old roof. He fixed it in a matter of minutes. To my surprise he did not charge anything. This was definitely a first. I think his integrity led me to hire him to replace our roof earlier this month. Needless to say that he did an excellent job. Moreover his staff were extremely courteous, friendly and as professional. Finished the project in 2 days with a fine clean up job.

Like others have said, they are terrible at following up and calling back when you try to schedule something with them. It's been almost a month since I've tried to set up an appointment for a new roof when I was told I'd be called back "soon".I am a contractor myself in a different field and have seen this before - the customer service is generally poor with businesses like this. Based on reviews I am sure McLean does a quality job as far as roofing goes, but if there was an issue down the road, you wouldn't be able to rely on them to come out and fix it timely. Do not believe business owners when they act like they don't have 5-10 minutes to give you a quick call back within a week - it's nonsense. Even if you have enough business and can't fit anything else in, at least give your potential customers a call back to let them know. Certainly going elsewhere now as roofers are a dime a dozen.

Excellent experience with McLean Roofing and Siding, we recently bought a house and we knew the roof was going to need to be replaced. Jim and his team did an excellent job, very professional and efficient. They kept things cleaned and made sure everything was safe for my pup when he had to go outside while working and when they were finished. Would definitely recommend them! Thanks again!

Jim was extremely professional and great to work with. His crew worked very hard and completed my new roof in one day. The crew were constantly cleaning up throughout the day and triple checked for nails before they left. I am very happy with the completed job and would highly recommend them.

We had an unprecedented snow fall here in Michigan in November 2019. I wouldn't be surprised if my area received over 10 inches of snow. I called on McLean Roofing on Friday November 15 to ask about ice dam removal for my house. (Ice dam removal is listed on the company website as one of their services). I spoke to a very nice receptionist, who assured me that someone would call me back that day. (Ice dams are sort of an emergency because water can start leaking into your house if the dam is not cleared). Today is Tuesday, November 19, and I have never received a phone call back. Admittedly, the weather did get warmer, and the ice dam is slowly clearing on its own. Sorry, McLean Roofing, but you hit on my biggest pet peeve. You could have taken 30 seconds to call or text me back and say you didn't want the job. Next time I have a roofing need, I will skip this company.

We were very excited to contact this company with such high reviews. I left a message about a small siding repair caused by wind on my second story. I was told I would receive a call back, but never did. I called and spoke with someone and they said they would be out to look at the issue and call me back with cost. I never received a call, so I called back the next day. Someone had indeed come out to my house and looked at the job. They gave me a price and said that they would be out to complete the work within the next two days. Nobody came out to do the work. I tried contacting the company numerous times after that, leaving numerous messages with no return contact made. Finally I went and rented a ladder and did the repairs myself.

I called Jim, the owner, not knowing if I needed a new roof or a repair after I experienced a leak. He found a bad spot and did a repair when he could have sold me a whole new roof. He promptly did the work and reduced the price from the original quote since it took less time/materials.

Had an estimate on siding repair. Accepted their price.They said they would be back the next day to perform the repair - never came back!Tried calling the contractor twice and left messages - no answer. Never returned the calls.Called the main company number, the operator took all my info and states she will get in touch with the contractor and will let me know - never called me back.They are OBVIOUSLY using FAKE REVIEWS

I called to set up an appointment to get an estimate to have windows replaced in my home. I was told by I assume the receptionist, that Jim would be calling me back to set up the appointment. One week later no call from Jim!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Possibly did me a favor if that is how service with this company begins. Made contact with other companies with great customer service. Don't waist your time!

I called McLean Roofing and Siding company on May 9th in order to request and schedule a repair to the roof at my house. I got a call the next day from one of the employees, he stopped by my house to make an inspection and nothing happened for weeks. I called again, they sent somebody over to my house again, this person made an inspection and said he was going to go buy the shingles and never returned. Almost 3 months later, nothing.

I called McLean Roofing during a recent heavy rainfall that exposed a leak in the roof over my garage. Although Jim was very busy with pre-existing work, he still made it out to my home and quickly identified and corrected the problem. There is no reason to look for anyone else when it comes to roofing company.

I called them three times over past weeks to get some one to take a look at my wood sidings to get get a quote. Their messaging center say some one will call you to schedule an appointment , no one called me or scheduled an appointment after weeks of trying to reach them . I have never used McLean Roofing and Siding. I also never will use a company that has fake reviews. John Meyers, Patricia Julien, Kevin Wolf, Kendra Senior, Ruth Garett, Alfred West, Leona Pressley, and Thomas Kovar are all 5 star reviews. They all happen to leave 5 start reviews for other companies in at least 5 different states and even different countries within a years time. These were the only 5 star reviews i checked on. What a coincidence that all of these 5 star reviewers all own multiple homes in multiple states/ countries and use the same services/doctors. Now Ryan Benninger, Andrian Montes, Jay W, Wuming Jing, John and Liara Martin, and Cynthia Hawkins all left one start reviews and their other reviews are only for companies in the Troy, MI area which leads me to believe that most of the REAL reviews are terrible. If you have to pay for fake reviews then your work must be pretty terrible. Look elsewhere fellow Googlers.Update: the company is still receiving (maybe paying for) fake reviews

I also was looking at the review history of many of these five star reviews, and what are the odds that Barbara Popham, Deanna Lee, Alana Kelly, and Fred Patterson all needed roofing and siding AND needed counseling at Perspectives Counseling Centers. Was the experience with Mclean's so traumatic that they had to seek counseling. Either that is an astronomical coincidence or a review scam. I'm leaning towards scam.

Zero follow through from this company. Been in contact with the owner for over a month with a promise every week to show up and complete the work. They will schedule a day and time and never actually show. 1 star because the rating does not allow for zero.

I just called this company to find out if they did commercial siding in Dearborn MI and before i could even finish my sentence the gentlemen hung up on me! I thought maybe it was a accident so I called back and he did it again, I find this to be very disappointing for a company that has such good reviews to have such a unprofessional employee working for them.
