S&B did an excellent job of installing our new AC and digital thermostat. We recently purchased a new mobile home and we're so happy we went with S&B- not many HVAC people in town will work on mobile homes, apparently. The installers were super efficient and respectful of our home spaces, and Melanie in the office is absolutely fabulous! They worked around our schedule of being out of town and did a great job of keeping us updated on everything. Had these guys come out 4 times to replace the same pressure switch on a unit less than 10 years old. They decided on the last visit we needed to replace the entire board. insisted that we pay in advance, before they would even order the part. they don't take debit, apparently they expect you to have a few hundred dollars in cash on hand. decided to save the money and a trip to the bank and back over to their shop, as it was spring and we wouldn't need the heat for several months. called them a few months later to get the process going, they refuse service because THEY ordered the part and complained about being stuck with the cost.... the lady at the office has one heck of an attitude problemServices: HVAC system maintenance, A/C system maintenance, Heating system maintenance

An employee stopped by my home and told me my chimney should not have been sealed off with a cap, their company could make a proper cap for me, and the chimney was also fine with no cap at all. I then received a bill for $83.75. A roofer had already removed the chimney cap at my request because I was concerned it may have been sealed accidentally. The roofer contacted S&B to discuss his questions with them. I was of the understanding that S&B was being sent due to their concern, and the roofers, of CO build up in the home. The S&B employee was outside my home momentarily, evaluated nothing, and provided me with no new information. When I called the company regarding the bill they confirmed they charge a service fee of $45 and mileage of $38.75 (even though the driver was only 17 minutes away). I was warned of neither charge in advance and was told by Melanie that it was not their responsibility to disclose that information to me. She then became defensive at the idea that I should question whether the billing was legitimate. Since I willingly gave my address and consented to a time, she said I had agreed to the cost of the fees. When she questioned why they sent someone to my home, I agreed that I too was unsure as to why they had agreed to send someone as her conversation of the issues was with the roofer and not me (the company knew the chimney cap was off and that a cap was unnecessary). The roofer later told me he was not made aware of those fees and was shocked that I was billed. I certainly will not use this company in the future and would discourage others from using them.*Multiple well-rated companies from Kearney and the surrounding area will provide free evaluations and estimates so I would choose someone else.

I thought I had an issue with my furnace, when they arrived they said nothing is wrong with the furnace, figured out it was a water leak, basically I got charged an arm and a leg for them to unlock my thermostat and be in and out in 20 minutes, I'm not disappointed with the service, just what I got charged
