They came back and fixed it without the need of a phone call. Scott was a great help. He explained everything clearly and the work came out exactly as he said. Carl's did a wonderful job residing our house! We have a colonial style home that still had the original cedar shingles (50+ years old). Dominic was the sales rep we worked with, and we were incredibly impressed with the level of detail and attention that was offered for our job. He went over all of our questions and provided phenomenal customer service. He clearly understood our style home and what would be appropriate to do from a design perspective. We chose Carl's over contractors who did not offer this level of service. We also appreciated that this is a stable, long-standing company and had confidence that the job would be done well. Our job was completed in a timely manner and on schedule. The team who did the work was led by Walter, who was always available via phone/text. They put a lot of care into their work and it shows!

I highly recommend this company. They did an excellent job installing my fence, the installers are true professionals and listen to your concerns. I had a small issue with how the fence was going to meet my house so Ken called me and together we worked it out and they didn’t nickel and dime me for extra hardware and time that was involved. I owned my own business and always told my employees to “Listen to the Customer” which is what impressed me the most with Carl’s.

Starting with their sales rep Will and his firm understanding of what was needed and especially for how well he was able to recommend colors and make sure we got the perfect solution for our roof. He really did a great job making the negotiation and contract process as simple and transparent as possible.Then the team that did the roof was super nice and helpful. Great salesmanship. Horrible installation and materials.Not a small job. Nickel and dime for any changes.Less than a year from installation, wood is splitting, hardware rusting. Took three tries and they got it wrong. Attached the wrong gates into outbuildings, cobbled things together instead of getting the right pieces.Too much money for inferior work.Go with Rutgers or Taylor fence.

In addition, when an emergency arose due to bad weather, John from service jumped to our aid and Eduardo went out of his way to install a roof tarp on short notice even though it was bad weather and after his working hours. Finally when it came to installing the roof, Eric, the project manager demanded professionalism and pride in craftsmanship at all times and ensured only the best top tier materials were always used. Lenny, the installer, ensured excellence down to the smallest details. During the entire job courtesy, professionalism, friendliness and pride were always apparent. Carl's commitment to outstanding customer care was highlighted by a walk around the day after the job was completed to make sure we were 100% satisfied prior to final payment. I just had my existing deck redone. The craftsmanship was excellent. Product-superior. The workmen were on time, professional, courteous and receptive to my inquiries which were answered to my complete satisfaction. My yard was spotless after they finished and cleaned up. Carl’s recently installed a fence for my daughter and I would have to say these same attributes apply to those workman as well. I will surely be using Carl’s for my future needs.

We are very pleased with our fence removal and install- so much care was taken with removing our old wooden fence -not a trace of wood or a stray nail was left behind. The white vinyl install went beautifully- the installers even returned the river rock back to its place after the holes were dug for the posts. Carl's installed our new roof a few weeks ago. And from our initial phone call to their Freehold office and to the end of our project, my husband and I were very impressed with Carl's. The gentleman we met with, John, and our project manager, Eric, were very patient and informative. Since we never had a roof installed before we had quite a bit of questions. We saw all the work that went into our project and the installation crew was just fantastic. When some debris got into my neighbor's yards the crew cleaned up their yards and my neighbors told me you'd never know I had a roof installed, that is how clean their yards were...and mine too. Brian of Carl’s Deck and Fencing, and his Expert Craftsmen, provided me with a FREEDOM I could not have hoped to achieve. See, I have severe mobility issues that have been increasing rapidly, shrinking my world around me. As I drove around I saw ugly ramps everywhere. As an Artist, quite demoralizing and depressing.Brian sat with me and my husband to design a wonderfully executed luxurious ramp and deck and a dog run for my Service Dog Pilot. He dealt with the Town, my sleepy Architect, and all this through the Covid crisis and delays. He managed to give me a gorgeous, much bigger deck than we could have hoped for. A huge pen area for my large Standard Poodle to access directly from my back door.But, the Front Door remained off limits to me until today: Artisan Mark built a matching front porch for me complete with handrails. When I tried this beautiful ,accessible entryway, just for me I burst into tears. Free. me.

I started with Carl’s for replacing my deck. While the deck was being laid out, I decided that my driveway gates needed repairs since it was sagging in the middle. Also I also wanted a privacy fence behind the garage . I asked questions and Dave had answers and solutions for my issues. When the deck and fences were scheduled, it was seamless. They were on time, finished the jobs when they said they would. Everything was cleaned up like they were not there.
