I have been in this business for over 30 years as a property manager and I can tell you Blue Nail Roofing and Siding is one of the best in the business. Professional, quick, caring and safe. My tenants loved to watch them install the roof and any new plywood on the roof deck. It was amazing to see how meticulous they were in doing the job right and perfect edges and lines. The job overnight was cleaned and examined for any debris and they even have a special metal detector with a magnet to pick up any loose metal on the property. Jason and Anthony were so nice and took their time to try and figure out where our leak was coming from. They even got their drone out to investigate further and take pictures to show me the problem area.Leading up to our project Dan Hogan was very informative and helpful. He reached out and scheduled our appointment.The day of our project, Omri was our project manager. He stayed the entire time the guys were working on our roof. He was so helpful and really took the time to make sure the job was done correctly. I have been a handyman/general contractor for over 20 years. I know my limits and roofing if one of them. For years I struggled to find a company that shows up and is able to deliver in a timely manner. Finally, after all of these years I have found a roofing company that is able to deliver on what is needed. So far 100 percent attention to detail and no signs of any slacking on their end at all. They have done a repair for me and have now been contracted to redo a 100 year old homes roof which quite frankly is a huge mess. That is impressive. A few years ago, we had a leak in our kitchen after a heavy rain. A friend recommended Blue Nail. We contacted them, one of the reps came out, checked the roof, going into the attic plus sending up drones taking pictures. What impressed us at that time was his response to the leak - rather than telling us we needed a new roof immediately, he stated "we had a few good years left on this roof and it was probably just the storm since it blew sideways." So here we are in Jan 2024, another rain and windstorm but this time we lost many shingles on our 25-year-old roof. So now the "few good years" are gone, and Blue Nail came immediately to mind. We were able to make an appt within a few days, and got started on the project of roof and gutter replacements almost immediately, roof replaced in one day, gutters replaced two days later. No muss, no fuss. All individuals we dealt with were a pleasure. We're so glad our friend recommended Blue Nail so highly.

We worked with Todd at Bluenail. He helped us assess the existing roof damage and pick out roofing tile color. I was pretty hung up on roof color so Todd sent us addresses of Bluenail projects in the area so I could take a look myself as pictures don’t always show the true color. Todd is a great person to work with.The project was started and completed in one day. The crew was quick, professional and clean. Everything was cleaned up when they completed the job and left as if they were never there.

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with blue nail. I hired them to replace two flat roof sections on my house. I overpaid 3 to 4 times what the job should have cost. I should have seen the signs when the salesman did not even get on the roof when he came to give me the estimate. They subcontracted the job to a cheaper contractor. Since they finished the job I have had two leaks. Each time they send the subcontractor which tells me it is not his fault.These people are a sham. Be careful not to get scammed like I did. Their warranty is not worth the paper is printed on!

Blue Nail in Montville , NJ is an excellent roofing contractor. They recently completed installing a completely new roof for us and we couldn't be more pleased. The roof looks beautiful! We chose the GAF Timberline HDz line of shingles and were very happy with the look for our house. The company quickly responded to all of our requests, and fit us in as a one day project between larger jobs since we had an ongoing active leak in the roof and heavy rain was forecast within the next few days.

Blue Nail replaced my entire roof over the course of two days. Overall, it was a great experience and they worked through the project thoroughly, with care, and with good communication. I shopped the market extensively and while Blue Nail was not the cheapest alternative, they were the most professional and easy to work with. They diligently answered all of my questions and their Presidential rating from GAF (the manufacturer) is a good stamp of credibility as it is only given to a handful of contractors across the state. In fact, I had to chase several contractors who quoted me prices whereas Blue Nail was the only one who followed up with me proactively. They won the business through their customer service.Ali was my first contact and he remained my primary relationship manager throughout the process, making himself available to talk through any questions I had throughout the process whether in the mornings, evenings, or even on weekends. He was terrific and really helped me evaluate all of my options. He also took the time to educate me on pros/cons of the various decisions related to a roof project. The rest of the team—Alex, Dan, the entire crew—all texted me to check in during the installation and after the fact. We had a few clean up items, and the team without question availed itself to finish every detail.I would highly recommend Blue Nail for any roofing need. Rest assured, you will get a quality team and beautiful finished product.

I used Blue Nail to replace my roof in December of 2021. Blue Nail was extremely professional and reliable compared to other contractors I got estimates from, using actual square footage to detail a specific estimate instead of the usual eye-ball estimate from most roofers. While they weren’t the absolute cheapest (though they certainly weren’t the most expensive), I opted to go with them because of the warranty and high reviews.The process was relatively easy, and they were very attentive to my concerns during the actual roof replacement. I was unhappy with the look of a specific area and they came back to fix it without issue.In the almost 2 years since the roof was replaced, I had 2 separate occasions when I had minor water issues and was concerned it was the roof. On the first, Dan came over within a few days and helped to identify that I actually had a siding issue as well as a window that wasn’t completely sealed. While they were there they tried to fix my issue as much as possible to help me avoid having to have another contractor come out. On the second occasion Dan helped to identify that I had an issue with pooling coming from my gutters. Both times Dan tried to help me as much as he could, not limiting his time or effort in trying to help me figure out the issue.I would use them again without hesitation and would recommend giving them a shot if you are getting estimates for a project.

I just had a project with Blue Nail completed. We had a brand new shingled roof put on, brand new vinyl siding and gutters with leaf guard and they did an amazing job. Bernie and all the crew were very professional. There was some overage on costs but that was because of the previous siding installation and not the fault of Blue Nail. For Windows Installation (Andersen Windows full replacement)We live in Tinton Falls in Monmouth County, and we are a very happy Blue Nail client!In September 2020, we ordered all new Andersen Windows for our entire house through a local contractor (not Blue Nail). Unfortunately, after the windows came in, that contractor wasn’t do the job, and the local windows reseller couldn’t recommend an alternate. We thought we were really stuck, but we knew someone who used Blue Nail previously, and they recommended them highly. Here’s what sets them apart.The owner, John Hogan, leverages technology as it should be used. He video-recorded his contract proposal for online review at our convenience. After agreeing to terms, all parties digitally signed the contract, he e-mailed us a copy of it, and posted it in a secure online location for our later reference. With other companies - we’ve dealt with bare bones agreements or POs without a lot detail. But John Hogan found a better way to work with his customers, and his use of technology was only the beginning. He also uses a project management-based and team-driven model, with customer satisfaction as its focus.For example, in the windows removal phase, all internal surfaces were covered thoroughly to minimize dust and damage, etc. The team arrived on time and ready to work. Our Lead Foreman, Alex, inspected all aspects of the job, and advised the team on how best to get some trickier parts done. [The internal plantation shutters needed to be retrofitted, and Alex determined the optimal way to do it, so they fit perfectly.]For the day-to-day aspects when he couldn’t be there, Alex assigned one of his team members as our point person - he asked them to show with us how something would be done (to ensure it was to our liking), and then to check in with us again when it was completed. Afterwards, Alex inspected everything, so adjustments could be made, as needed. Additionally, photos were taken to document and confirm overall progress.As a result, both throughout our installation and since its completion, friends and neighbors have stopped by and commented about how nice our new windows look, and how impressed they are with the job that Blue Nail did. We couldn’t agree more!"

We needed an entire roof replacement and had concerns about the project because our roof is fairly large, steep, and somewhat complicated. Blue Nails was up to the task. The planning, execution, and quality of workmanship was outstanding. The guarantees associated with the project were submitted directly by GAF a week after project completion. Blue Nail did a wonderful job on our siding project. From the beginning where we were talking to a number of contractors, Matt Troy was the most professional that we spoke to, and didn't try to distract us with cheesy stories or bad jokes, he pitched his project and convinced us he would do a good job. Matt answered all of our questions, and made sure to be responsive between contract signing and the beginning of the project.The project began weeks earlier than estimated (this may have been luck, but we still appreciated it), and finished a few days early. Dan Hogan was always helpful when we had questions, and when we needed to replace the back door mid-project, he was very willing to work with us to hold off on siding the area until the door could be completed. We suffered a water leak after Tropical Storm Ida and we discovered that the “newer” roof wasn’t so new after all. Todd and the whole Blue Nail team were great. I replaced my roof and eleven skylights.They showed up when promised and completed the work quickly, clean and with care.The carpenters who trimmed out the interior of the new skylights, were clean and took their time to do the right job. Gave me several molding options to choose from.Todd was great from the start. Patient with my wife and I as we worked through deciding on which roof shingle, which color and blind colors, and had the knowledge to help us select solar components which afforded us significant tax benefits of which I was not aware.When the job was complete, Todd made sure that he coordinated with his Velux rep so that we had consolidated controls, as every skylight either opens or has a blind (or both) that is solar powered and each comes with its own remote otherwise.Todd never disappeared. He followed through until the job was 100%.Great job by Todd Gammon and the entire Blue Nail team!
