For almost a year now I have noticed some amazing changes happening at our local Foxworth store. I have been so pleased with the customer service from the management there. Jim has done amazing things with the team there. The store itself has been getting some much needed upgrades. It's been nice to be able to walk in and be able to see the manager in the store. I have been shoping there for my commercial accounts for years, and I feel like there is finally a good fit with good management. I used to reach out with questions and hear nothing back. Jim and his team have been wonderful to work with.

Staff seem nice & are helpful. It would be nice for the lighting inside the building to be brighter (to see things across the room better), & for there to have more options with hardware, etc, along with more competitive pricing....as I often have to go elsewhere for other items after I buy wood :).

promotions and discounts are getting to be more and more difficult. Most recently Valspar rebate... Was told in store to check online. Went home and checked online, was directed to the store. Called store, told to go to a specific address online. Went online and in order to qualify for rebate, I had to get a rebate form from the store. Called the store, forwarded to voicemail, when I went to leave a message, was told mailbox was full. IF YOU'RE GONNA OFFER DISCOUNTS AND REBATES, MAKE IT USER FRIENDLY, NOT AN EXERCISE IN FRUSTRATION AND DEAD-ENDSAfter receiving a response to this review I contacted the corporate office and requested he have the local store contact me, he refused. He mocked me for complaining about a discount. They’ve lost my business!

Was just there. When I entered, half the employees and customers were not wearing legally required face coverings of any kind (one had hers around her chin). Spoke with the manager who made all kinds of apologies, said that of course they were all required to comply and promised to correct it, then promptly went back to his desk. When I left 20 minutes later, nothing had changed. An otherwise good business but irresponsible about public health. Go elsewhere if you can.The response from the company below is understandable. However, it's one thing to post a sign and call it a day and not enforce the rules (in fact, the law in New Mexico). The fact is that there is a rule in place, employees and customers were ignoring it, it was pointed out, and this was ignored by Foxworth management. That is what happened, and no amount of corporate-speak changes that. Draw your own conclusion about their commitment to public health and the law.

Just purchased a large amount of blocks, bricks and pavers. Chris helped us at the counter and suggested loading a pallet. Andy helped us in the yard. We're very impressed with Andy's courtesy and helpful suggestions and attention. Kudos!

I like having Foxworth-Galbraith as a hardware and lumber option in Silver City. They often have the best price, and the people who work there are friendly and helpful. I especially like the frequent coupons I get for signing up for their member rewards. I'm happy to avoid spending a day and gas money on a trip to Cruces when I don't have to.

Like most rural locations they're a bit pricey (shipping is getting more costly with high fuel prices)...but friendly staff and neat well stocked shelves.

Asked an employee about 2 different items I needed..he said one if them you didn't carry and the other one was over there and pointed in a direction..I had some questions and it seemed like I was bothering him..I had no choice but to get the lumber I needed since you are the only provider in town..I went to another local hardware store and found what I needed..when I do shop at your store it feels like if you are not a contractor you are not really valued..I would have put my rating at a one if it we're not for the guys in the yard who offered any help I needed..upon further investigation I learned you do carry the items I needed.. sorry to say other than lumber I will shop elsewhere..

My 1 star rating is just on the lumber. The employee's are very good,polite and are willing to go the extra yard for you. On the other hand,their lumber is the worst I have ever purchased. It not only bow's but twists so bad that you can not use it unless you need 2 footers for something. Their prices went up on (osb)plywood to $20.00 a sheet because of Hurricane Irma. Well they never went back down. I know quite a few people go to Tucson for lumber,and go to Cruces for plywood. Sad!!!!!!!They should take care of locals better on prices.

Friendly staff, including the yard man who helped me load drywall. Used my birthday gift card and my reward dollars. Saved 20 bucks. Can't beat that!

If you really need the building item, such as a small amount of lumber, Foxworth's will most likely have it.I'm a Vet from the late 60s so I get a Vet discount but sadily it does not apply to lumber or other construction items I purchase....still trying to figure out where the discount applies!Foxworth's is a bit long of tooth so make sure your stocks are good if you venture into the outside lumber yard.

We shop here all the time for our house repair and construction needs. There are a few things they are missing which we can find elsewhere here in silver but they are professional, easy to find and decent prices.
