Mark, Rachel, and crew have all the qualities you want in a construction team. They are organized, experienced, and professional. They communicate well, informing you of each step in the process and letting you know if there are going to be any deviations in the schedule. They come when they say they will and work hard onsite. Our home, built by someone else, had a leak on the second floor that brought water into our first floor living room. The roofers, window installers and stucco folks each pointed a finger at one another. I called Mark Bighley for help, and it was a wise decision. It took a while to find the leak, and his persistence was needed and appreciated. His repair work matched the original style, texture and color, and best of all is that we no longer have a leak. It is an honor to review and recommend highly Mark Bighley Construction. His work on our project was excellent and beyond our expectations. Since we were new to the area we inquired in town for someone with a stellar reputation with the locals. Mark was the unanimous choice. Mark built us a new home just outside Silver City.We worked personally with him and sometimes from out of state over the phone and via internet. Mark always worked in a responsible and honest manner. He helped us stay on schedule and within budget by working closely with us on choices and decisions along the way. He was responsive to our questions and concerns. The financial side of the project was handled with transparency . Mark has an excellent work ethic and only sub-hired contractors who met the same measure of excellence. He is also known in the community for his attention and care for the environment during projects. Everything was done with high quality workmanship built to last. Even after completion we have been able to count on Mark to help us follow up with changes and repairs, either with his expert advice or his hands on approach to make sure everythin was simply the best. This house was built in 2010. It is admired by everyone who visits. Mark built our custom home. We had lots of challenging things we wanted--differently colored sections of flooring, oddly shaped walls in places, lots of pocket doors and a variety of preferences for paint colors on walls and ceilings for one room or another. Mark got it all done well, despite difficulties with some vendors not being there when they were supposed to. He was always responsive to our requests and fixed up any items we found to be out of whack--which were few. He's honest as the day is long and on time. Where costs exceeded estimates that resulted from changes in materials we requested or other things beyond his control.
