The owner, Mike, and his crew at JAG Insulation are top notch spray foam insulation experts with excellent attention to detail and good people to work with.I originally hired JAG last October 2023 to better insulate the 600sgft bonus room above the garage of my 30+ year old house.This room originally could only maintain around 55°F during the coldest days of a Pittsford, NY winter even with the house furnace running non-stop. Since I used that room as my office, I had to employ an auxiliary space heater under my desk. After JAG spray foamed the ceiling of the garage underneath as well as the knee-walls of the bonus room, it became the warmest room of the entire house!As a result, I hired JAG a second time in March 2024 to spray foam the entire attic of my house (a 4400sqft, 2-story). Their attention to detail was evident when they pointed out to me that one of my exhaust fans was venting straight onto the plywood of the roof, causing mold and wood damage which they fixed despite that not being an original part of the project spec.At no point during the process did myself or my family smell any chemicals (despite it being a multi-day job to complete) and the crew was diligent about keeping the work area clean within my house.When the project was finished and the crew had left, there was no trace of their having ever been there despite having to come through second story master bedroom window with hoses and access the attic in our master bedroom walk-in closet full of clothes and shoes.I would confidently recommend JAG Insulation to anyone who wishes to dramatically upgrade their home efficiency.

Simply put, last winter my house had huge icicles all around, this winter, because of Jag, my house is icicle free. We hired them to spray foam insulation in the entire roof deck in August. Boy am I glad we did that! Didn't know it was going to be such a cold winter. The year prior, we hired them to insulate the rim joist in the basement. Also a wonderful job. If you've ever taken one of those canned foam spray to task, you'd know there's some art to having a beautiful finished look. It takes a professional to have it look as beautiful as they did. The whole process was pleasant. From the manager to the owner to the workers, everybody is reasonable and polite. Price is very fair as well. Highly recommend!!

Jag Insullation solved my Walk in Freezer issues by spray foming the exterior and sheeted over the foam with steel siding. Foam insulation went on over the existing exterior freezer box reducing air and heat penitration by alot. Electrice bill went down and my refrigreation equiptment did not run as much. I am installing another walk in freezer and Jag Foam insulation will be back for foam that unit as well. Excellent work if you are in Rochester NY area get and estemate.

Terrific Company. Jag Construction installed a foam roof with a silicone coating on our house in 2017. It is a low slope roof (2/12), so the obvious choice as EPDM, but we decided to use foam installed by Jag. The roof looks terrific--a lovely medium brown. It drains perfectly--but most important, our energy bills dropped by a solid 30%--no kidding, 300.00 to 200.00 in mid-winter. There have been a few contractors working on electrical and skylights since the roof was installed, so I called to ask Jag to come and check out the roof before winter. The owner came himself to check it out, found a few things to address and sent a crew. He called to ask how the work was, and when I asked about payment, he just said, we stand behind our work--I know some of the things his crew did were repairs needed because the skylight guys had been up there--but Mike just shrugged and said "this one is on me, we stand behind our work." It is nice to have a super energy-efficient roof and nice to be connected to such a great company.

Unfortunately I can not trust or recommend Jag Construction. I met the owner at a home show who promised integrity, professionalism, and expertise but I haven’t seen any of those promises in my experience. I called Jag for an assessment of damage done by ice damming on my home (which is a service mentioned on their website). The owner came to do an assessment and told me to cut a large hole through a closet wall big enough for someone to get through so that he could reach my enclosed attic to get to the problem. He said he would follow up to schedule a time to come for the project. He didn’t follow up. I called him a few weeks later and there was no file or recollection of my project. I was told that if the hole is already open, he would make an appointment. So I cut a hole in the wall. Despite confirming the new appointment time twice on the day of the appointment, he showed up late and didn’t remember being at my house a few weeks earlier at all. Then I was told that the hole “that needed to be cut out before he would make an appointment”, was actually not going to reach the problem (which I verified many times at the last visit if it was necessary). He told me that I need to create a different hole now. On his way out he said he would give me a quote of the project within a week. I asked if he had my phone number or email and he said “oh yeah I’ll need that”. It’s been 3 weeks and I still haven’t heard a word. I emailed him after week 2 of no quote but there hasn’t been a response. So now my time has been wasted, I’ve needed to spend time and money to repair my wall, and don’t have any solutions for my initial project. Disappointing service.

We have worked with Scott at JAG several times regarding insulation on our home. The most recent was after a major disaster causing significant structural damage to our home. His professionalism is so appreciated especially since it is difficult to find in contractors these days. The quality of work and the professionalism of the workers was also exceptional! In July 2021 JAG completely corrected a problem which had occurred with foam sprayed in my attic in January 2019.JAG originally spray foamed my attic in January 2019. The job was done very professionally. The attic foam looked fine a week after it was done, so I didn't look at it again until July 2021-- and I noticed large sheets of the foam were separating from the roof deck. I called Mike and he promptly came over and saw the problem. He felt it was due to a bad batch of chemical or excess moisture. Within one month JAG removed all the foam that was peeling off (about 90% of the surface area), and sprayed new foam. JAG painted the foam with intumescent fire retardant paint at no charge. They were extremely professional.You could not find a better foam insulation contractor with Mike and his son. They corrected a problem with the initial foam 2 1/2 years later!

I’ll give JAG Construction a 15 star rating for spray foam insulation:* Knowledge - 5 stars* Professionalism - 5 stars* Customer service - 5 starsAfter years of raking snow from my roof edges to prevent ice dams, I hired the JAG team to remove layers of batting and loose insulation from my attic crawl space that had been added over many years and to install spray foam to the under side of the roof decking. Not only did my heat and air conditioning units run less often, but I also stopped hearing the patter of little critter feet above the ceiling - and I stopped raking the roof!Eight years later, some evidence of heat escape had begun to show, and the owner, Mike, came promptly to investigate. He sent a worker to re-foam some cracks that had occurred due to some areas of shrinkage of the foam. There was no charge for this.To my pleasant surprise, the insulating foam layer has remained fully intact after having to re-roof the house, including replacement of some roof decking. Mike came out personally, and did a thorough inspection himself, which I appreciated so much!Mike Jagodzinski has a lifetime of experience in all aspects of building construction, and “wrote the book” - literally! - on the technical and practical aspects of insulation.You won’t find a better or more professional company anywhere!

Used Jag to do spray foam for home addition and had them do a couple other areas including an attic storage space. Six years after application we were in storage space and saw issues that concerned us. Contacted Jag spoke to Mike, the owner, and he sent out people to evaluate. They agreed something had not gone right with this application in this area and sent out Kenny and Eddie to fix it properly. These two guys did a fantastic job - better than I hoped for. VERY happy with Jag for responding quickly and professionally and at no cost to us. Jag should be commended for standing by their work even after six years!!

Jag Construction is a great company to have work performed on your residential house. They performed work up in my attic spaces where a lot of heat loss was occurring. And put me back on the schedule a a year-and-a-half after performing original construction to touch up a few places. I would highly recommend this company for anyone that is experiencing heat loss or can get any type of Grants through New York State or the city of Rochester. There management, general foreman and employees are top-notch.

First and foremost, thank you so much for gettin’ my attic completed before Thanksgivin’! So extremely thankful.Second… I want to make sure the gentleman that were workin’ on my attic get commended for great work. I have a crew of guys I send out on jobs and I know I love to hear when they do the right thing , that they do what’s expected of them and that they can build report with customers. So I want to take the time to let you know that the team you sent was a solid crew. Jamie mentioned his name so I recall that name but everyone worked diligently, was respectful treated my home as if it was theirs and were friendly with me as I worked from home today. The clean up was perfect. I will say I am a stickler for everything stayin’ in its place and rarely does anyone even friends and family put things back how they found it. One gentleman had to remove items off a window area to get chords in the house and I was rather impressed that he remembered exactly where everything was and put it back jus the same. I went downstairs after they left assumin’ I would have to do that, but it was already taken care of.It’s a breath of fresh air to see people willing and wanting to work in these times and have pride in their work.Thank you again!Linda

Absolutely terrible client service. They improperly installed spray foam insulation that then resulted in rotting of the roof and rafters of my fathers home. They came out and looked at the house and admitted it didn’t adhere to the roof deck properly but are now refusing to take responsibility for the improper job they performed. They will not answer phone calls or texts. I DO NOT recommend having these guys do any work for your home as they are unreliable and will not stand behind their work

Jag did spray foam in my attic and under home. They covered all the vents under the house, and wont come back or even call me to open them. They also, apparently did not spray enough, because I have had ice dams since. They also could have recommended more cellulose or fiberglass above the ceilings, but instead left me believing I had enough insulation (! Which is very wrong, finding out 2 yrs later). Frustrating!!!!! Find someone else!!!!!

6 weeks after the initial estimate he has not returned my call to give me a price. I can tell during the estimate he was uncomfortable with the job. I would have appreciated him confirming me at that time. Now 6 weeks later and many calls in to him he is ignoring me, I do not recommend this contractor.

I have my NYS DOL license as an Asbestos handler. I have 20 months expierence in the field. During that time I also received a certificate in lead awareness and have expierence in lead removal. I also have knowledge of installing TSI fiberglass insulation and removing it.I posess knowledge of power tools and saws and have great team skills along with outstanding physical strength as a laborer.
