We've been buying from their bare root barn for years. I've always been impressed with how well the bare root plants establish themselves and flourish! The staff is knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. This Annabelle hydrangea was planted in the spring and continued flowering for the entire summer! Lookin' forward to another season with Turnbull Nursery plants.

This place is great! I'm going into my third summer of using Turnbull and couldn't be happier. I've bought numerous shrubs and trees from them all with great success. They're also my go to for mulch, you can't beat the price. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

You can't walk out from Turnbull's nursery without buying a tree, bush or perennial. All plants are of superb quality and knowledgeable staff is always there to help.

I love the bare root barn sale in the spring, they have great deals. My only complaint is that there is not a warranty on sale-priced bare root plants, which I didn't realize. Otherwise during the summer, the prices are high but you're paying for great quality plants. Employees are so helpful and knowledgeable.

Hidden gem of a nursery for plant geeks in the know. Great quality trees and shrubs. Nice selection of dependable perennials. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Prices are very competitive for the size and quality of the plants that they sell. The spring bare root barn sale should not be missed as they have some outstanding bargains on deciduous trees and shrubs for anyone itching to get an early start on the growing season. Worth a visit if you're in the Southtowns - just keep a careful eye out for the sign as it's not a big, flashy place and it's located on a country road. Not the place to go if annuals are your thing, though - their focus is on trees, shrubs and durable perennials mostly.

Have a great selection and very knowledgeable. They had answers to all my questions. You do have to pay more than let's say going to home depot, but you know your plant/tree is going to survive and live, especially the bare root trees. My home depot success rate for bare root is about 60%. Turnbull is 100%.

Staff was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Their plants look great, and they have a large selection of 10 gal trees and even some 25 gal. We got a lilac shrub and honey crisp apple tree for about $100. We're very pleased and will be back!EDIT: We went back for 4 Spring Grove arborvitaes, another apple tree, and a 10-gallon and 25-gallon maple. They delivered what we couldn't take with us. Still great!

Their bare root barn gets me every year. They have quite an assortment of plants and trees that I put on my land every year. The staff is knowledgeable and can help you when you want to plant fruit trees, or other plants. Best prices that I have found, even if I have to take a short trip to get there, is worth it. Quality trees that they stand behind.

Lots of trees and plants to choose from. Kim is very knowledgeable and helpful. If she doesn't have what you need she will get it for you. We have bought plants here 3 times and we plan on using Turnbull again next year.

So helpful. There Bare root barn is awesome. You can pretty much find any tree your looking for, and if you can't, the staff is more than happy to help. Most bare root have warranties with no problems with exchanges. We have been shopping their Bare root barn for 12 years now. Every tree in our yard is from them. We have maples, apples, nectarines, peach, cherry, blueberries, plum/prune hybrid, and pear. Everything has turned out beautiful. We have gotten our strawberry plants and rhubarb from them too. Its a great place.

Would give 10 stars... My wife and I were recommended to turnbull nursery for yard drainage, well as it turned out we were so pleased with the quality of workmanship and great prices we had Rob and his crew recreate or whole yard. A great crew by the way very responsible and respectful.Turnbull nursery is a legit down to earth family run business and it shows.Thanks Rob and Kim for all you have done.

Great folks! I picked up a load in my semi and they got right on it. In and out in 30 minutes. Walmart and the other chains could learn something from this place!!
