Roofmaster did a very big and comprehensive roof and insulation job for me in 2019. The 1964 house has cathedral ceilings throughout, so the job required taking the old roof off including sheeting and insulation, and replacing all of it with updated materials. It was a 2-week, big job with at least 3-4 workers on site.During the job, workers fell through the internal ceiling in three locations, attesting to the difficulty in the job. The ceiling was repaired free of charge to our satisfaction, and Roofmaster agreed to clean the roof two subsequent times as partial compensation. The 50-yr roof is excellent with no unwarranted dripping. During light snow, we can compare our insulation to neighbors, and ours is the best. However, a recent bathroom remodeling showed that the ventilation sheet on top of the insulation in that part of the house was upside down. Such mistakes are in maybe 10% of the joist channels and are visible when the snow melts there first. I’m not happy with this, but unless it results in premature rotting, I’m not concerned. The heating bill is down, maybe $75 per month averaged throughout the year, but the house tolerates cold weather (zero degrees and less) much better. We had 3” insulation in the roof and doubled this.We approached maybe six contractors for the job. Roofmaster’s quote was 30% lower than the only other one, which appeared not serious. They did not do gutters, so we had another contractor do those. Roofmaster was very responsive with customer service, and despite the minor issues, I highly recommend them.Services: Skylight installation, Roof installation, Gutter cleaning
