My stay at the bark eater inn was nourishing to the soul and a delight to my senses. There's something magical about being together under one roof with your loved ones. Meg is an exceptional and attentive host! Cannot wait to visit again in the summer.Nearby activities: You have to try the ice jam inn for amazing food and drinks!

The Bark Eater Inn was like a big hug upon arrival. We enjoyed a multigenerational ladies weekend in the beautiful setting surrounded by picturesque mountains in the horizon, open acres for a wintery walk, warmth of the fire in the den inviting conversations and laughter, comfy beds, and nourishing breakfasts. Innkeeper Meghan led us through restorative yoga and breath work classes. The only regret is our weekend had to come to an end. We will be back.

The Bark Eater is an incredibly beautiful spot. I stayed there on a company retreat for a few days at the end of August. The inn is surrounded by mountains and a huge flower garden. The managers Meghan and Tyler were very friendly and accommodating. We had an early start each day, and they kindly got up extra early to make very tasty breakfast for our team two days in a row. The rooms were simple and comfortable. I loved the place and want to come back to stay in the future.Food & drinks: The food is as locally sourced as is practical, and everything was fresh and delicious.

My wife and I had a great time in the gorgeous Adirondacks while staying at the Bark Eater Inn. We simply loved it there, Meghan was a delight to talk with and get hiking and restaurant advice. The Maple Room was lovely, well appointed, and extremely comfortable. We loved the patio with a beautiful view. The Inn feels like home...a very quiet, beautiful place with a great breakfast each morning. This will be our go to home when back in the area.

Our stay at the Bark Eater Inn was outstanding. The Bark Eater Inn was our base for day hikes in the Adirondacks. It had a perfect location being a few minutes by car from the town of Keene, close to many trailheads and not far from Lake Placid. The Inn is gleamingly maintained, spacious and charming. It was comfortably furnished and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. After a day of hiking, it was a pleasure to come back to our accommodations with a warm shower, thick towels and luxurious sheets and bedding. Meghan and Tyler are superb hosts who were very helpful and friendly throughout our four day visit. A delicious and healthy breakfast was prepared each morning. Coffee was available when we arose early and Meghan was kind enough to pack us breakfast to go when she became aware we would depart earlier in the morning than the scheduled breakfast time. We highly recommend staying at this wonderful Inn.

We stayed at the Bark Eater Inn for a nearby training at The Graves Mansion. I looked forward to going back after our day working to the beauty of the gardens, landscape and quietness. I love that the internet is spotty, because we all just need to unplug! Meghan and Tyler work hard to make your stay wonderful. The rooms are super clean, and the breakfast amazing!

My husband and I had our wedding here in October of 2022. It was everything we dreamed of and more. Whether you are looking to rent out the entire venue for an event or stay a few nights in one of the rooms or cabins, the Bark Eater Inn is a true gem of the High Peaks area. Meghan and Tyler made sure our wedding went seamlessly and that everyone felt at home the entire weekend which we are eternally grateful and thankful for. The locally sourced homemade breakfasts, central location near many amazing hikes, fifteen minute drive to Lake Placid, and the beautiful views from the Inn are all reasons why you must visit and things that will make it hard to leave!

Really loved this place. Waking up to the smell of bacon and eggs is definitely something that I could get used to, and the hosts were great as well. They recommended local places and activities and really seemed passionate about making this inn something special. I will say they didn't have any TVs that I noticed, I consider this a plus but it may not be for everybody.

Wow!! This place is an absolute gem! My friends and I stayed here for our best friends' wedding elopement and this place was such a pleasant bed & breakfast. Speaking about breakfast: it was incredible! The meals were so tasty, I'm still daydreaming about those pancakes! The owners are so nice and friendly, and the rooms are adorable. I loved talking morning walks across the meadow in the trails behind the inn, too. I could only imagine how beautiful it is when everything is in full bloom. Thank you so, so much for the hospitality and memorable experience. We will be back, for sure!

Meghan, Tyler, and the rest of the team we met were friendly, thoughtful and helpful. Beautiful, comfortable, clean, and cozy inn. We stayed in the maple room on the first floor and really enjoyed utilizing the porch and chairs out on the lawn. Such an amazing view of the mountains from both the front and back yard. We also enjoyed walking around the property one morning. Breakfast all 3 days was delicious, we loved getting to try the fresh ingredients from the garden, homemade jams, and different local products, while relaxing on the screened in porch with a cup of coffee. Great location, short drive to a lot of trailheads, restaurants and lake placid. Overall a great place to stay in the ADK, we will definitely be back!

The Bark Eater Inn is absolutely amazing – it is beautiful, serene and a really cool place to stay while visiting the Adirondacks. One of my best friends and I stayed at the Bark Eater for my 25th birthday in February and it was awesome, there are shops nearby, many places to go hiking, and the inn is a short drive away from Lake Placid. Since we went in the winter, there was snow on the ground – outside it was so quiet it felt like you could hear a pin drop. Breakfast each morning was so great. Meghan and Tyler were tremendously kind, welcoming and helped my friend and I to decide between places to go in the area. I hope to return again in the future. If the visit is in the winter again, I definitely would consider winter tires for the drive there, though it is possible to make it there without them – though some highways were slippery during our drive from NYC to the Adirondacks, once we got to Keene and the inn most roads were cleared of snow. I highly recommend staying at the Bark Eater Inn if you plan to visit the Adirondacks!

We spent 4-days, 3-nights with a small group of guests spread across the Trillium Cabin, the 3-room Forest Suite, and the Cedar Room. The Bark Eater was our staging ground for a wedding elopement on a nearby Adirondack Mountain Reserve hiking trail. From the moment we arrived, Tyler was incredibly inviting and accommodating. Along with our guests we enjoyed the clean and cozy common rooms. The breakfast was genuinely delicious. Every. Day. From homemade squash pancakes (WHAT?) to cast iron baked oatmeal, I mean - we aren't kidding about wanting a cookbook. The area around the Inn is perfect to explore whether you are as adventurous as us with a pre-sunrise hike up Indian Head or if you just want to bop around in town and check out small shops and above-average local fare.We were able to enjoy our stay and didn't feel rushed to leave (when it became apparent that we didn't want to...)Thank you so much to Tyler, Megan, and the team at the Bark Eater Inn for making our unconventional wedding weekend one to remember. We fully anticipate returning - maybe with the whole crew - yearly.

Meghan and Tyler are AMAZING hosts! They make delicious breakfasts using fresh ingredients from their garden and other local farms. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. One of the many perks to staying here is you get to explore some of the private trails on their 200 acre property! No other tourists around other than the guests that stay there. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and we will most definitely be back!

This inn was such a cute place for us to spend my birthday weekend. The inn is located on a really scenic piece of land with mountain views that are stunning in the snow and a mile or two of trails. It was everything you want an inn to be - cozy, fireplace stocked with tinder, lots of games and local guidebooks on nature and hikes, friendly hosts who make a hearty breakfast, and only capacity for a few other guests. We would definitely stay here again

Perfect stay here at one of their cabins! The cabin was the perfect size, had a kitchenette, large bathroom, cozy furniture and comfortable bed. Very clean and homey! Private setting in the woods and close to Whiteface Mtn where we went skiing. We will absolutely be back, this was a perfect getaway for a few days.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Bark Eater Inn and we just booked our second stay because we loved it so much! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hosts are generous and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful with mountain vistas and a stream out back. The inn is super close to Lake Placid, Keene, and all the trails and ski parks - everything was a quick drive! We can't say enough great things about The Bark Eater and we can't wait to see it in the warmer months!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Bark Eater Inn for a "mini-moon" following our wedding. It was truly a highlight! The freshly made breakfast and coffee each morning was delightful. Each day there were homemade cookies. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. We really appreciated all the small details such as locally made shampoo and body wash in the shower. Megan and Tyler always took time to answer our questions and make sure we had everything we needed. The grounds are amazing! Every morning we went for a walk by the pond. I will definitely be returning to the Bark Eater and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Keene area.

The Bark Eater is our go-to Adirondack destination. From its location -- steeped in majestic high peaks region views -- to its magnificent gardens and cozy, clean rooms, this place is among the best. Meaghan and Tyler treat each guest like family, and everyone who works or stays there is so lovely. It was super hot when we were there and we essentially hung out on the screened in porch most of the day, and it was perfect. And their home made breakfasts... I'm still dreaming of them.We love the Bark Eater!
