We renovated our bathroom,living room,dining room and kitchen which is now my favorite room. I will always use DHI for all ourhome projects. Love them!!!!!!

Had the bathroom completely renovated in changing the previous tub to a shower with DHI. Steve was prompt and thorough on his estimate and was present through it all. Oscar & Angel were phenomenal - prompt, cleaned up at the end of the day, always asking me questions of where I wanted things before they did it. From the beginning working with Steve and the staff at DHI, I found them to be dependable and thorough. They brought my vision to reality and I cannot be more grateful. From running through different layout options for my new bathroom, to choosing my tile and paint color, the entire staff was accommodating and helpful. If I ever had a question or concern, Steve was attentive and put me at ease so the entire process was smooth. They were at my house every day and unlike other companies who may contract out their work I had the same crew with Steve coming consistently to check on the progress until the work was completed. I highly recommend them for their professionalism and quality of work!

We just completed a major bathroom renovation of our late 1980's dated bathroom using Dependable Home Improvements. We worked closely with Ashley who coordinated the many details needed for a successful outcome. We couldn't have been happier with the work and result of the job. I cannot say enough about DHI. The work was phenomenal and professional. Steve and Ashley were excellent to deal with. We did a full kitchen renovation outside work. It was a six week project that was effortless. There was not a day the crew did not show up. They were on time everyday and stuck to agreed upon timeframes. There were no hidden costs and communication was excellent. The crew was courteous and professional. DHI is an excellent company that cares about the outcome and the customers happiness. From the estimate to the completion of the job was an enjoyable experience. Ashley was excellent in assisting with design and choices of cabinets, tile, countertop and additional requests. Steve was present and checked in regularly to ensure we were happy with everything from the beginning to the end. I would recommend DHI to anyone looking to do construction. Dependable Home Improvement in North Massapequa NY lives up to their name Dependable. We were happy to eventually choose a local hometown business. The owner Steve was true to his word and arrived to give us an estimate that was sent via email a week later. His pricing was more than than competitive and fair. Never any pressure to commit. After giving DHI the job, we had an initial consultation with Steve in his showroom, to go over the details, and office Manager Ashley was extremely helpful keeping us up to date and even came to our house to help my wife and I pick out colors for interior painting. As promised, Steve visited everyday during both phase one and phase two of our renovation. The crews were very professional and conscientious. They ripped up all interior carpeting, refinished all the oak floors, installed vinyl flooring in other areas, installed crown moulding throughout, painted, repaired walls and trimmed the entire interior of the house , renovated the existing laundry room as well. Changed out 3 windows. No hidden costs at the completion, and stayed true to their estimate. All their work is guaranteed and will gladly stand behind their home improvement. So happy we found DHI. We had many estimates to do a small bathroom. From our first meeting with Steve, we had confidence that they would do a fantastic job! After they completed our bathroom we had a flood in another part of our home. There was no question who we were gonna call! All the people who worked in our home took such pride in their work and were so detail oriented. Not only were WE pleased with their work, THEY were pleased with their work! So in three months, we’ve used them twice! And we know we will use them again in the future, hopefully not in an emergency situation next time though!

We had our basement completely renovated from an unfinished space to an amazing family space including a full bathroom. Steve and the guys were on time, helpful, polite, and extremely clean. The guys worked every single day without fail. They left my basement and home immaculate everyday. Ashley, in the office was a pleasure to work with and answered any questions I had throughout the job, as did Steve.The work was done in the 7 week time frame that was promised. This meant the world to us as we were expecting a baby immediately after the work was set to be done. I would recommend DHI to anyone looking to do a renovation to their home.

My husband and I bought our first home about a year ago and knew we needed to redo a bathroom. We decided to hire DHI because we felt comfortable with the price they quoted us. We liked how this company offered a one stop shopping experience because of our busy schedules. Ashley helped us pick everything from their showroom and also helped guide us with color choices/styles. From start to finish, every worker who came through the house was professional and kept it clean. There were no hidden costs and they were very upfront about what they were doing. They were patient with us and answered all our questions. The finished result was beautiful. The tile work was extremely well done and I will definitely hire them for future projects!

We received three quotes for our basement renovation/bathroom addition project. After meeting with Steve, we knew DHI was the right company for us. Everything to be done was specified in the contract and it was followed exactly as stated. There were no hidden costs and we even received a credit back for our tile selection. Picking fixtures and tile with Ashley was simple and any questions that we had were answered right away. Everything came out great. We would use DHI again for future projects.

Recently had a kitchen remodel done by DHI. I couldn’t be more happy with how everything came out. From start to finish everything went as planned. We had a relatively small project of converting a half bath into a full (3 piece) bath so we can have a master suite and after looking at a few contractors we went with DHI and are thrilled with the results. Their price was very fair, they are local and I really like their budgetting for the tiles, fixtures etc. it gave us the flexibility to save on a few items by getting on our own and also the option to come into the Showroom and work with Ashley on tile selection and overall design. Owner, Steve, was very attentive and responsive to our needs and workers were meticulous and neat. We highly recommend DHI.

My review exactly matches Traci Landi's! We had a job done by DHI last summer and while we were pretty happy with the end result, the stress of waiting for people to show up, the difficult dealings with office personnel when asking questions, and the misleading payment and timeline information was not worth it! If you do not have any experience in renovating a home, you might be better off dealing with another company.The positive? Oscar (the kitchen installer) was an absolute pleasure to deal with and took great pride in his work

Pros- Gave me a gorgeous kitchen a few years back with absolutely no issues. Had them come back and do big exterior work… And the job looks gorgeous. The Dependable workers who work for Dependable were really great. Contractor at times was very flexible and easy to work with.Cons- The exterior job took over double the amount of time expected, lapses of work/almost a week of no one showing up, hidden invoices that were not discussed, feeling as if we are burdening them when asking questions, Ended up re-roofing which was not part of the original plan, siding was put on our house that did not match our color and more. The amount of times we called and asked, “is anyone coming today?” was more than I would hope when paying someone a significant amount of money.Again, we are extremely happy with the finished product… But the process of getting to that was absolutely exhausting and at times sincerely disappointing.

Like some other reviews, the lack of communication and no responses we’ve received outweighs any of the work they completed. We contracted with them in February 2022 and it’s now September and our job isn’t complete. The majority of it is since April 200c which took longer than they said it would, but now we’ve been reaching out to them regularly to see when the last portion will get done and they completely ignore us. They used to keep saying “supply chain issues,” which we happily accepted because we knew how difficult it is for supplies but then they just stopped responding completely. We started calling other companies who make the item we need (specific doors) and none of them have supply chain issues. We provided these company options to DHI if they wanted to work with them to complete their contract, but they still have no responded. I highly suggest that if you go with this company, watch out if your job isn’t done and they have 90% of the money, because they will just disappear and leave you with a bigger issue.Services: Tile work installation, Remodeling, Plumbing fixture installation
