New Home Owner here - and these guys were God-sent. I am an Architect, so I can handle most conversations, but I also know I need an expert - these guys were responsive, showed up on time, explained everything clearly, and did the work quickly and effectively. Communication was great - I know I can call AJ with any question and he'll answer me or call me back as soon as he can. They even helped me get an electrician in when I couldn't get one (needed one when I relocated the washer/dryer). I was able to communicate with the guys at the house, and at the office easily to get proposals changed, and new proposals made. All to say that I recommend the wholeheartedly and feel like my home is in good hands with them. Such a relief when a new home is a can of worms!

I've been using Silverman for 8 years on multiple properties that I manage. Recently I used them to fix a large HVAC job that had multiple issues due to being installed incorrectly by a previous contractor. Silverman either reconnected or replaced multiple mini split units on the first floor as well as replaced a large air handler that serviced the second floor. They had to redo all of the ductwork for the second floor as it had not been sized correctly from the previous contractor.AJ is an expert in the HVAC field so he understands all the the details that are needed such as proper load calculations, sizing of ductwork in relation to the rooms they service, proper sealing of joints to avoid air leakage etc. Communication was great before, during and after the job was completed. Everything was done neatly and correctly down to the last detail of the ceiling vents. The attention to detail is impeccable. The system is working perfectly now keeping the 4500 sq ft house toasty warm during the coldest of weather.If you need an HVAC installation or repair don't hesitate to call Silverman. I will only use them for this type of work from now on.

I will preface this review with saying they never worked on my house. But it was honestly because the scheduling was terrible!I scheduled one appointment for August. And they sent the wrong technician who couldn't do the work I asked for. We rescheduled for the middle of September. I was very specific about needing a midday appointment because of a standing meeting I have every monday. There's no way I would have accepted a morning meeting. And they called me the morning of the appointment, when I have scheduled my whole day around their appointment, to tell me that our meeting is actually at 8:30. Because of the way there are other appointments are scheduled for the day, and where the technician lives, he needs to come to my house first because he lives near me and then he has to go to Roscoe.So my appointment was completely disregarded because they couldn't do it accurate job scheduling out the locations of their appointments. For me, it was just a complete lack of care. The receptionist had no idea what she was doing was completely irresponsible and rude

It's really hard to find a reliable plumber in Sullivan county. The guys who do the work are polite, and know the work they need to do. If you can get past the rudeness and disrespect from the receptionist. We had a hot water heater go and our basement was getting flooded, called and she said she would get back to me. Never did. Tried again when we had a heat pipe break (half the house was without heat in January) and again we NEVER got a call back. So if you're looking for a reliable plumbing company Silverman IS NOT THE COMPANY FOR YOU.

The drain pipes in my little country house in Sullivan county was badly clogged and I couldn't use the kitchen nor the bathrooms for nearly two weeks. Another company had tried to unclog the pipes with snake and wasn't able to get it through and they recommened Siliverman Mechanics to me because they have better equipments. It took a little while to get connected due to the summer labor shortage and tight schedules but Mike made sure to get someone over to my house as soon he could. Once they come, they were able to fix the problem and unclog the drain pipes and put an end to my misery. The price they charged for the service was also very reasonble! will definitely be using them for my plumbing needs for however long I own this little house. Thank you!

Never returned my call! And after discussing with friends they confirmed overpriced and often had to phone another to fix their bad jobs. That’s just hearsay, I can say they are overpriced, as I recall from a previous use.

THE BEST BY FARSilverman Mechanical Saved my life, when I was on vacation, gone for ten days I was notified that my pipes froze . I called Silverman on a Sunday night and they immediately went to my house, turned the furnace on, defrosted the frozen pipes and than fixed and replaced the broken parts. They are Sullivan County's best and I strongly recommend them. !00% trustworthy and they do great work at reasonable prices.

Unreliable. Did not show up at job site twice. I contacted 3 times but never returned calls. When contacted 4th time, the representative on phone said we can't do it! When my husband responded, that's not the way to do business, Silverman Rep. Hung up! Frustrated and angry with this incompetence. Went to someone else.

I can't say enough about how great the service is at Silverman! I came home Sunday late afternoon to a flooded basement. The relief valve on my pressure tank blew out and made a mess after I tried to bump up the pressure a little. I called Steve, left a message on the emergency line and got a call back in a minute or two. Rather than send a guy or crew out unessesaraly he took the time to walk me through everything I had done wrong (he hit the nail on the head everytime) in an hour I had running water back in the house.Fast forward to Monday morning and my water pressure was still very low. I wasn't about to adjust the pressure again so I called Steve back and asked for a guy I've exhausted all my "know how". Again Steve hit the nail on the head. He said " did you check the screens on everything?" I check the screens and sure enough they were as dirty as can be.Steve had all the opportunity to to charge us for a Sunday emergency and didn't. He was more than happy to share his knowledge and save us several hundred dollars.Thank you Steve! You've gained a customer for life.

I am a Realtor and I needed a plumber to come to a house and change the water tank in the home. First I called Smalls because they installed the tank. They told me they could be there in 3.5 weeks. I then called Black Bear and they told me they could be there in 3.5 weeks. They also said maybe we can get someone there after hours for $180.00 an hour I then called Silverman Mechanical and they said we will get someone there today. After they diagnosed the problem another guy bought out the tank and they replaced it. From beginning to end it may have taken an hour. From now on Silverman Mechanical will always be the first person I call.

Last night I called due to no heat. They called me back and said it will take a while to get there. I said it can wait for tomorrow .They said we'll be there 8:30am. Guess what they were here before that time. The employee looked and said I spoke to my boss and we have to order a part, then to find out they located one locally. They make your problem a priority!!! I highly recommend using Silverman Mechanical!!!!

Our 35 year old water heater went out in White Lake, leaking water all over the basement floor. Steve came out within half an hour, took a look, and had 2 guys out within another hour to replace the tank. And, not only was the service great, the price was reasonable. I wouldn't think of using any other plumber in the area.
