Update: the siding is popping out, I found three places where the wood is exposed to the elements, the siding doesn’t line up! The picture below is not an optical illusion, we took a tape measured and level to make sure. the tape never adhered to the house and is completely open to the elements. A new contractor came in and I now have to pay to rip the front of my home off and redo it. Meanwhile Derrick Baker , owner of DMB construction has ghosted me, blocked me, refuses to refund me, fix his work, or try to make it right. He’s taken down my reviews on his website. The work looks good at first to someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing. Please save yourself from the same situation as this is a total nightmare for us. These pictures are only a few of the many and don’t begin to address the mistakes they’ve made and problems we’ve had through the whole process.Services: General construction, Exterior structural repairs

I hired DMB to redo my siding, kitchen cabinets and install a bathroom tub in place of a shower stall. Derrick and Bubba came to my house shortly after contacting the company and sold me on a lot of promises. Unfortunately, they weren't the ones sent to do the work. I got very inexperienced contractors (one was only on the job 4 days). The trim on my outside windows isn't sealed. It is popping out. They sided over the wiring for my outside light. The kitchen cabinets are not lined up. The bathroom is the worst. Derrick ordered the wrong tub and it was installed anyway. So the plumbing is on the outside wall. I am worried about pipes freezing this winter. The tiles are crooked. The floor tiles are all uneven and the grout is crumbling. They worked 2 full weeks out of 2 1/2 months. The rest of the time is was a day or two a week. With very little to no communication. Derrick decided to charge me labor by the hour rather than by the job as he quoted me in a signed estimate. This drove up the price by over $10,000. I terminated the contract after the last time he tried to send me a bill for more than what was quoted and not inline with the 3 payments outlined in the contract. The contractors were sloppy. They poured the tile water on my deck leaving white stains. I cleaned up their trash every day. I also cleaned up the job site daily for the safety of my family. The owner was only onsite 2-3 times after promising a lot more visits. The last time Derrick was at my house, even he pointed out a ton of mistakes in the work. On July 12, 2023, (2 1/2 months into the job), I sent Derrick an email with my concerns and photos of one guy taking supplies I paid for, as well as, all the trash (food, chewed gum, cigarettes) that I cleaned up regularly. He never offered an apology or even an acknowledgement of my concerns. It even took him 2 weeks to send someone over for their tools. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I experienced incredibly poor communication from this company from start to finish. The job was Spring to Fall of 2022 (supposed to be finished by then) and still in July of 2023 isn't finished. The owner and the man in charge of my job frequently didn't follow through on his promises. This company has NOT finished my job, REFUSES to finish my job or send me a refund. They were extremely messy leaving trash, food, clothes, building materials, 100s of nails, tools, and building debris scattered around the property. They ruined my brand new rug by not following my request to wear booties and didn't even pick up the fecal matter, dirt, and debris that fell from the ceiling in my 5 year olds bedroom. I had to come home and clean it myself so my daughter could sleep in there. If you have a big job, please choose somewhere else who values doing a job right, finishing a job at all, and cleaning up after themselves. I attached a picture of SOME of the trash they kept telling me they would pick up, didn't, and now are refusing to do. PLEASE save yourself the money and hassle and find a new contractor. This company has been reported to the better business bureau and will soon be reported to the Attorney General's office to do a thorough investigation of the company.

My wife and I bought our house and wanted better curb appeal. Having a good to us game plan we reached out to several contractors. DMB is the only one that had the extra bit of knowhow and care. With all projects, they can be stressful but these guys took the matter in their own hands from start to finish. It was super easy to work with them. Finished product still gets a random neighbor stopping by to tell us how much our new front curb appeal made our home POP and they ultimately designed it. These guys know a thing or two about construction. They are all extremely professional and get the job done. From whole custom to cookie cutter they tackle all jobs. Covering all areas of central New York there's no place they won't travel to. Their production speaks for itself as time and time again they wow with the finish product. I am excited to say I'd be happy to use them for any project. Patios to historical restoration they have it covered.
