We were introduced to LB General Construction, Inc. and the general contractor, Louie when he was doing work in our building. Our initial impressions were that the workmanship was well done. He and his team were following the plans drawn by the architect and were following them with attention to detail. The worksite was clean and organized. After seeing the work, we hired Louie to renovate the bathroom. We were extremely impressed at the skill of the individuals that worked for him and the craftmanship they showed. Louie was present on site to ensure that the job was moving along and that the work was being done to his standard. We were so happy with the final product that we hired Louie to renovate the entire apartment. As expected, the job was done to specification and done with excellent skill. Louie does not take shortcuts and does not make decisions without speaking to you. Louie remembers everything that you speak about and is excellent in following up to ensure that he delivers. I can not say enough amazing things about LB construction and Louie. Louie is a pleasure to work with the most customer service centric contractor out there. He has amazing attention to detail, extremely extremely neat and organized and the nicest people working for him. Everyone that comes to my apartment is blown away by the quality of work and the outcome. He also took initiative on everything and created great timelines of when to order what. We selected Louis and his team from LB General Construction for a renovation of our NYC apartment that included a full kitchen and bath remodel, as well as new doors, tile work and custom closets. From the initial consultation and competitive quote to the last days of the project, Louis was incredibly engaged, helpful and responsive. In the early stages, Louis helped with the submission to our co-op’s managing agent and addressed their frequent questions (not an easy task). During the course of the project Louis worked hand-in-hand with our design team from Intelligent Kitchen (also great), kept the project on schedule and ensured the work was done properly. He reached out with suggestions along the way and helped us quickly navigate any unforeseen issues that popped up. Importantly, our building’s staff and our neighbors were very complementary of Louis and his crew throughout the 3 month project. We enthusiastically recommend LB General Construction and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Very rare to find a contractor in NYC area that delivers work as promised. I've had Louis worked on our condo on several occasions. Every time his men did very good work and on time. His price is a little on the high side. But Definitely worth it. Work with him if you don't want any surprises.Update on Jan 24, 2014:Since my last experience working with Louis he has become too successful for his own good. Three months ago I hired him for more renovation work. This time he was too busy to devote full attention to my project. Material was not ordered early enough to meet the expected completion time. I have to admit that the quality of the work is still good (whatever part that was completed). But supervision and management of the work was sloppy. There are areas of work that did not get completed even till now two months later. I've been unsuccessful in trying to get him to come out to finish the work. I now hesitate to recommend Louis.

We really enjoyed working with Louis and his team! We needed quite a bit of hand holding throughout the renovation process but Louis was patient with us and always took the time to explain things. We had gone through a small renovation on a different unit with a different contractor in the past, and Louis was definitely light years better--in terms of communication, availability, and workmanship. We had anticipated that the renovation timeline would go over, but Louis completed it in time. We would not hesitate to work with Louis and his team again!

When we heard neighbors say they loved this Contractor we quickly called Louis because we’ve only heard renovation horror stories. We wanted to renovate our Mid-century apartment kitchen and did not know where to start. Louis put us in touch with Intelligent Kitchen, a design firm in New York City. Louis and the designer listened to our hopes and dreams and put everything down on paper. Louis also filed the necessary paperwork with our co-op board and set up our chosen start dateOnce the work began Luis and his team we’re there every day and let us know in advance when they would not be there. LB construction created a plastic wall with a zippered door, which allowed for us to remain in our apartment during the renovation. We were amazed by the flawless execution of the cabinet and appliance delivery and installation. We were told the entire project would take eight weeks. Louis and LB General Construction completed most of the work in four weeks. We were shocked that it was completed ahead of schedule. And yes the new kitchen looks amazing.

We very highly recommend LB General Construction. My wife and I live in a duplex condo in Yonkers and have worked with LB General Construction on a couple of different projects.The first was an upstairs remodel to prepare for the arrival of our twins. It involved new flooring and molding in 2 bedrooms and a hallway, new carpeting on the stairs, new recessed lighting in all rooms, a total paint job, and a complete gutting and renovation of a full bathroom.Louis worked with us from the beginning in scoping out the project. As we made our creative decisions he was great in guiding us through how everything would logistically work together, and providing suggestions based on his experiences. The scoping, quoting, planning and scheduling process went very well.Louis and his team were clean, professional, efficient and respectful throughout the project. As we were displaced from our bedrooms for the entirety of the project, and with my wife being over 5 months pregnant with twins, we were very happy to have the project run smoothly and complete on time.And of course, the end result is wonderful. They did a quality job throughout, and worked closely with us to address any concerns we may have had, or any touch-ups that needed to be done.The second project was the installation of custom closet doors throughout the upstairs. As with the larger remodeling project, Louis worked with us to plan it out, advising us on what he thought would work the best for our setup. And while we spent a little more than what we had originally budgeted on materials, the quality that we got based on Louis’ recommendations was well worth it.With both projects that we worked on with LB General Construction, even though the work is done Louis has made himself and his team available for follow-up should it be needed. For example, part of the plan was for me to be responsible for the hardware on the closet doors, but Louis came back after the project was done to help make sure all the fixtures worked with the doors and were installed properly. It was very much appreciated.Should we have any more construction needs in our current condo, or in our future home wherever it may be, we’ll definitely be giving Louis and LB General Construction a call. And of course we highly recommend them for anyone looking to complete any home improvement projects themselves.

Louis and his team recently worked on renovations on our apartment in Manhattan. The apartment had not been renovated for over 30 years and so it needed a significant update. The team completely renovated 2 bathrooms and completely reconfigured our upstairs space, alongside installing air conditioning throughout. My husband and I moved to NYC several years ago. Having no experience with construction companies here, we made a very bad choice when we hired a company to renovate our bathroom. After the negative experience, we were reluctant and at a loss about who to call to rectify some of the botches our poor choice had made. After some research, we contacted L.B. Construction. I very much enjoyed working with Louis (and Tony). Louis is by far one of the best contractors I have ever hired. After receiving several quotes, I chose Louis to renovate my pre-war bathroom converting it from tub to shower stall. This was a complete gut reno including branch line to the riser replacement. His price was reasonable and appropriate for the work being done. Of course there were several surprises along the way and Louis handled them graciously without making me feel like it was my problem. We worked together to come up with solutions that worked for both. As stated by other reviewers, he takes pride in his work. He and his team did a beautiful and detailed job. He also followed up promptly whenever we had issues as well as followed up promptly post-reno to deal with punch list items. His communication style is refreshing and he stays available throughout so you can understand project status and details. I also received praise for Louis from my building manager and neighbors. My building manager enjoyed working with Louis and his team, and he is now recommending Louis to others. My neighbors commented on how courteous and friendly Louis and his team were throughout. Note: I live in a finicky, high-end building. I highly recommend Louis. Go for it!

Over the years I have done several remodeling projects, from small to large, but this was my first project since moving to NYC. After getting quotes from a few contractors, I found Louis to be the most understanding of what I was wanting to accomplish, and most in line with what I was expecting to spend.Although I thought I knew "exactly" what I wanted to do, Louis and his crew helped perfect a few details of the plan, and they were all happy to make adjustments as we went along and I would think of one more thing I would like to add to the project. Throughout the project, Louis was constantly in control of the work, and extremely communicative with me, so I always knew what to expect. As changes came throughout the project, he was very upfront with any changes that were going to come to the total cost of the remodel, which was one of the best parts. Louis takes great pride in his work, and knows what he is doing. His crew is absolutely experienced, and we were particularly impressed with the person (Tony) who installed our tiles. VERY detail-oriented, and all our tile is absolutely straight! My husband is very particular about details, and the fact that we are both so happy with the end product says a lot.His prices are normal for the area of the upper west side in Manhattan. The only thing is that he had originally quoted me 2 weeks time completion, and in the end it took 6 weeks. However that's how it goes with renovations.In the end, if you hire someone who takes his work seriously, he will do an excellent job for you. We give LB General Construction our highest recommendation!

L. B. General Construction and its owner Louis Bujaj provided extensive services to us in order to merge two 1 bedroom units into a 3 bedroom unit in a Coop on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. As I quickly learned, it is extremely difficult to find someone to take over any renovation job after it has been botched up by someone else, but I was very lucky to find L B Construction who agreed to help me.From day one I observed that each person on the L B team had a specific skill i.e. painter, electrician, tiler, cabinet installer, etc. Everything was completed to perfection and right on schedule. As for every other tiny aspect, the owner was there to answer my questions, always getting back to me in a timely manner and helping me by giving me ideas and/or suggestions.In summary, L B General Construction, Inc. were terrific in every respect.
