My family just finished renovating our three story house with Modern Citi Group. We had a great experience, both the construction and communication were impeccable. The team was responsive and helpful. Anna kept in touch with us every step of the way and provided guidance on design and layout, answered all our questions and overall she was a pleasure to work with.The construction team was very professional and respectful, the guys were all very nice and knowledgeable, tons of experience in the field. The walls were done impeccably, the wood floors came out perfect, and bathroom is like a real spa now. As an out-of town owner, I was seeking a contractor to handle every aspect of completely renovating my Manhattan apartment. After a couple of very poor experiences, I was referred to Modern Citi group. What an excellent choice it proved to be!Right from the beginning, I was impressed with their obvious expertise and use of technology. Ilya, Danill, and the rest of the team were extremely responsive, knowledgeable, and competent. I must specifically mention Anna, who was amazing. Anyone who has done a renovation knows- finding a good contractor is hard. We had already fired one, and were having a difficult time getting reasonable quotes or finding a contractor who understood the vision when I got referred to Modern Citi Group. They were patient as we went through numerous revisions to the scope and design, provided beautiful “what you see is what you get” visualizations, and were able to start construction right away. Daniil and Anna were great to work with, and we loved the staff that did the build out. They took great pride in their work and had a beautiful attention to detail, and were always willing to learn along the way the specific needs of the bar. We were looking for a company to renovate and remodel our office last month. Our day to day activities requires us to be constantly on the phone, so finishing renovation in a short period of time was critical, as we couldn’t activate with if there is a lot of background noise.  We had a general concept of what we wanted so we began speaking to several contractors.  Immediately, from our first meeting, we knew Modern Citi Group was the design and renovation firm for us. We spent a good amount of time searching for contractors-kitchen around Brooklyn for our kitchen remodeling. One year ago we used to hire Modern Citi Group to complete our bathroom remodel. So we decided to contact Modern Citi Group for general contracting again. Licensed contractor Daniil guided us through the process from beginning to end- Daniil was a total professional.  He is patient, creative and so knowledgeable- and truly wants his client to be totally satisfied.I don't think anybody could ever say that planning a kitchen it's not stressful. However, I never got stressed with Modern Citi Group! We met a number of times, often tweaking and modifying the plan and design of our new kitchen until our project manager Matvei was confident we had everything we wanted. The entire process from start to finish was made to be as painless as possible. I am a bit over the top when it comes to details and Licensed Contractor Daniil and project manager Matvei were extremely detail oriented, so we were a "good fit".They remove all old cabinets from the kitchen and particularly finished all demolition works very quickly. So, I would like to say that Modern Citi Group team completed such a very professional job with flooring! Our new hard wood floor looks amazing! Also our project included installation of dishwasher. Since we never had it on our kitchen they connected the machine to the pipes of the main water supply system. This part is more exited for me and probably for every women in the topic of having dishwasher in the kitchen.Our project manager Matvei also suggested to us that we could installed LED lights to make our kitchen even more modern. However, from the beginning our kitchen remodel project took only 3,5 week to complete it all. Can’t say enough about design! Modern Citi Group team didn't just do a great job making our kitchen look beautiful, they and especially residential contractor Daniil were very fair with their rates and completed the project on time (these are some of the pain points with other contractors I have worked with).If you are looking for any home improvement or home remodeling contractors in New York, look no further. We were fortunate to find General Contractor Daniil and his guys from Modern Citi Group for our home remodeling in Staten Island. Daniil was always on site supervising (unlike other general contractors we worked with previous) and would always be available to answer any questions or discuss any ongoing concerns with the construction.Daniil is a wonderful person to work with. He is thoughtful, efficient and organized, but also honest, trust-worthy and committed to quality. Throughout the project Daniil and his crew added small details and finishes that were out of the scope of the project but dramatically improved the final product. He also created a wonderful interior design for us which we extremely love. Moreover, Daniil helped to find and order all new furniture for living and dining room and new cabinets for our kitchen.Our remodel consisted of kitchen remodeling, dinning room and living room complete renovations. In addition to the extension we updated electrical, plumbing to remodeled and created the newly designed interior layout to finish demolition part and paint. Modern Citi Group team finished demolition process very quickly and installed new flooring. They also change countertop to granite and install new sink, faucet and range hood. After all, project turned to assembly furniture and installed all appliances.What was most impressive of how he and his group sucessfully troubleshooted through what proved to be an extremely complex job. They were about to cut time without sacrificing the quality.We are absolutely satisfied with the service and results! Nowadays the amount of construction companies is probably as big as the amount of restaurants. When you are choosing a restaurant for dinner, you never know that you gonna like there. There is the same situation with construction companies. You never know how reliable they are, but general contractor Modern Citi Group is definitely  “the best restaurant” in the construction business!We’ve hired licensed contractor Daniil for our home remodeling in Staten Island a few month ago. He is full of integrity, he’s honest, punctual, and is creatively competent. Moreover, residential contractor Modern Citi Group team genuinely appreciates their costumers. They are going out of their way to make sure your project is completed to your satisfaction, and that is why I recommended to work with them as your residential general contractor in NYC!Our home is 27 years old and this was our first major bathroom and kitchen remodel. All staff from renovation contractor Modern Citi Group were very knowledgeable and made the whole process go smoothly. Modern Cit Group design crew took our old looking bathrooms and made them look like a luxury hotel bathrooms complete with all the beautiful amenities: custom tile, jacuzzi, steam shower, new toilets all beautifully and perfectly installed by Modern Citi Group team. We had issue with our wood floor as it was squeaking in certain parts of the living room and kitchen area. We also had a leak under our sink and the floor and the cabinets where all damaged and moldy. We explained to project designers our wishes and issues. They helped us design the kitchen area and made a visual representation of it so we can see which was really great. Modern Citi Group have done with new tile floor in the kitchen and wood floor in living room area, finished wall painting and installed new modern custom kitchen cabinets with marble countertop. Further, they took our girls 10' x 10' x 16'h room and completed update it by all finishing works.You will be in really good hands hiring these guys. After long, exhausting search we got referred to Daniil and picked Modern Citi Group from other home remodeling contractors for our bathroom and kitchen remodel in Midtown West. I always thought renovation is a dirty and disturbing process which we just had to go through, but it turned out to be the opposite. From our first walk through with Daniil to the day we had our kitchen and bathroom completed - everything went as planned, and most importantly everyone on the crew seemed to be very respectful to our apartment.As part of a full bathroom remodel Modern Citi group replaced floor and wall tile, did waterproofing, replaced water lines and shut off valves as required by the building management, shower body was entirely replaced with a new shower system, new recessed lighting controlled by dimmer switch, new deep bathtub, toilet, vanity with a dropdown sink and widespread faucet, wall mirror and finally the ugly popcorn ceiling was gone. During the kitchen remodel, all cabinets were replaced, new quartz countertop installed, leveling the flooring, soundproofing and tiling , backsplash installation, all plumbing and electrical work completed.We interviewed tens of contractors, but not many of them could handle general contracting effectively, like we felt Modern Citi Group would.Now when the remodeling is fully completed, few important things to point out: good communication; professionalism and respect from all crew members;  attention to details, creative solutions, on time completion, and not taking advantage with change orders for everything that came up during demolition stage and the rest of remodeling process.I certainly recommend Modern Citi Group to anyone and everyone looking on  Yelp or elsewhere for remodeling contractors in New York City.

I remodeled my small kitchen (10x10) in mid-December and tore down the wall and opened it up into the dining room. Daniil was my main contact person. I could tell the passion of knowledge this young man has. My every question was answered with honesty. Modern Citi Group team set to work immediately after we organized the whole project with Daniil. They gutted the kitchen and installed new floor tile, backsplash, cabinets, new bar counter and recessed lighting. The transformation of my new kitchen was amazing! Well I must say after 3 contractors we finally found a company that's honorable, reliable AND knows what they're doing!! Our nightmare started back in February when our dishwasher sprung a leak and ruined our laminate floors and decided to replace the floors with real wood and also remodel kitchen and lighting system.We live in a condo in Queens so there are rules and regulations to follow and that's excluding the city codes. Licensed contractor Daniil from Modern Citi Group in New York put me at ease and truly made the process as seamless as possible. From the inception - when I called there was someone on the line ready to take a call.On our first meeting Daniil gave me an estimate and suggested for us one of Modern Cit Group READY SOLUTION for our kitchen. The amazing part of it is you don’t need to spend your time to searching for everything you need for you renovation. Everything is already collected and in perfect designed balance! Even lighting system which you also can choose from options they give to you!We had a wonderful experience working with Daniil from Modern Citi Group. Our restaurant was long needed to repair toilets for customers. We are located in Midtown East, so we met with multiple independent contractors last month who work in the area, but Daniil seemed like the perfect person to work with. After first meeting with him we chose Modern Citi Group for our renovation project.Daniil spent a lot of time with us to understand our remodeling needs and prepare us well for the days ahead. He provided excellent design suggestions to reorganized our toilet stall to private restroom’s partitions. He also was picking out all the finished material for us. The best and most important part of this project was that one restroom was always active so our costumers could use it during the renovation. Modern Citi Group crew worked nightly and always cleaned up before the restaurant opened. Daniil and his team's communication was super prompt and effective.Modern Citi Group performed a huge and outstanding job within one calendar week. They completely demolished old restroom partitions and fixtures, built new privacy cabins, installed modern doors, new porcelain tile on walls and floors, replaced toilets, wall mounted sinks, mirrors, lights, installed new doors, painted walls, ceilings. All the electrical and plumbing work was handled by Modern Citi Group. There was no surprises or hidden charges. Now, the work is all done. So, we did some researching on companies in our local area that we would feel comfortable with. I’m so glad to found residential general Contractor Daniil from Modern Citi Group for our kitchen remodel project. After meeting with the design team, they quickly turned our boring kitchen into the vision we had wanted for quite some time.We know from past experience that when it comes to construction or home remodeling it's best not to look for bargains. I found them through positive Yelp reviews as well as from a neighbor in Bronx referral who’d done the same.It was a pleasure to work with these professionals. Our project manager Artem creative design ideas are outstanding and truly "out of the box". Besides, he picked and ordered all the material, even the kitchen appliances which are perfectly matched. When our kitchen remodeling project turned to demolition and painting, kitchen contractor MCG took care of covering all my furniture. Moreover, they did a great job installing new cabinets, the backsplash and countertops. Everything looks so good and brand new. I can't believe this is the same home!No less important thing during this difficult time, the company is following all precautions. We had to move into a «new» office space in Long Island city by the end of January. It’s one of those old commercial buildings, so we were desperate to find a general contractor to perform and manage office remodeling before our move in date.  This is when we were introduced to Daniil from Modern Citi Group, from the initial walk through we knew this will be the contractor we want to proceed with, the decision was final after checking their reviews on Yelp and speaking with the references they provided. Modern Citi Group showed a strong confidence from the beginning to completion when it came to following the timeline and demonstrating professional expertise in all aspects of commercial remodeling.  Daniil was extremely knowledgeable about interior design, type of materials, and current trends in the industry. After all documents, general contractors license, insurances and the rest paperwork was submitted & approved by the building management company - Modern Citi Group started the «transformation» of our office, which included a complete demolition of bathrooms, kitchen, framing, drywall installation, plastering and painting walls, ceiling with a durable commercial grade paint, they also installed new floor tile, carpet and laminate on a 5000 sq ft flooring. Project managers Artem and Matvei were always present at the site which made it easy to communicate. Daniil kept us updated on the detailed completion status on regular basis. Modern Citi Group allowed us to adopt most of the changes we wanted to make to our original plans which was highly appreciated. They designed and manufactured custom office furniture based, kitchen cabinets, closets, millwork based on our requirements and installed bespoke glass doors, glass partition walls on new conference rooms where soundproofing was done the right way.

We recently rented out additional commercial space to host private parties and to extend the kitchen in our existing restaurant located in Greenwich Village. We were looking for a construction company that could connect this private room with a restaurant and kitchen in a short period of time. So that the  staff could easily move around and serve our customers well. Besides, we needed to build an extra private restroom in this new room.Fortunately, Modern Citi Group became a company we were looking for. We contacted several general contractors, but Daniil from Modern Citi Group gave us his assessment and set an incredibly short time frame. It was the best offer for us!A few days later, we finally approved the project with Daniil. After that Modern Citi Group team began its work. Initially, it was an empty rectangular room. According to our commercial project, they built a sound proofing wall to separate the kitchen from the guest area. And also built two passages. The first one serves to connect the new and old kitchens. Another entrance is located between the kitchen and the new room space. It is intended directly for staff and taking food out to a private room costumers. In addition, a small private restroom was built for guests.When the demolition process have been done, Daniil and his team started to renovate the new kitchen and the new dining area. They made hardwood installation floors for the guest area and kitchen. We chose decorative wallpaper for wall decoration in Private room. We approved hanging rectangular decorative frame mirrors to complement the decor and increase visual space. We pursued the same goal in the restroom. There were mirrors installed throughout the wall.The floor and walls of the new restroom were finished with gray ceramic tiles.Furthermore, Modern Citi Group installed a new heating system, which was very important for us during this winter season. They fully equipped us with a regulated lighting system. After a month of renovation our new additional room for private parties began to work.Modern Citi Group team was very professional and pleasant to work with. They have done a huge renovation / remodeling project within such short timeline. I am proud to share our new dinning room event with our costumers. I would definitely recommend Modern Citi Group to anyone and everyone looking for a licensed general contractor that works in many commercial buildings in New York City!

I can’t speak highly enough of building contractor MCG - they literally saved our bathrooms. We were looking for a local licensed contractor in Brooklyn to remodel our bathroom and master bathroom. We needed to correct some issues from previous construction and update the look of the space. We talked to several different residential contractors, looking for someone who took the time to listen to our needs, had good communication style, strong attention to detail, and a reasonable price. So, we found general contractor MCG on Yelp. After contacting Daniil (the owner) over the weekend, we met our project manager Artem right on Monday to provide an estimate. Later on that day we received a very detailed proposal and approximate list of materials.PM Artem has been absolutely phenomenal. He is extremely organized and proactive. He takes care of problems before they arise. He was on site daily for the duration of the project, and he was easy to reach after hours. Artem was really able to understand our design reference points and he had a lot of great suggestions throughout the process which we were very grateful for.Whole team from the MCG contractor who worked on our bathroom’s renovation project was clearly experienced and did quality work at a fast pace.Overall, I had peace of mind as I received regular updates and pictures. We had a plan in place that they stuck to and a price that we had agreed upon. I had my bathroom remodeled by this company. Hired them because they came highly recommended by my family friends . We proceeded within three weeks from the initial walk through. Timing was the most important thing to me as I only have one bathroom in my apartment. Despite the holidays, they were able to meet the deadline. That is what's the most impressive to me. When I went looking for a contractor, I interviewed four different companies and Modern Citi group certainly looked like they could get the job done, but once I started working with them, it turned into an absolute disaster. What was supposed to be a five month job maximum turned into a solid year. None of their team knows how to measure anything properly. My bathroom was off half a foot everywhere, they were showing me renderings of a kitchen that had three extra feet before they finally realized that they had measured wrong. It took almost 3 months to do a standard 5 x 7 New York bathroom that they told me would take 4 to 6 weeks maximum. Anytime I came to check on work there was one guy. I can’t say enough bad things about this company. Most of the reviews that you read here are probably fake. I think that they have a lot of people posting reviews and I’ve actually seen on Instagram where they have employees commenting, and doing the standard social media marketing where you can’t trust or review. What are some of the other things that this company got wrong? They couldn’t install a door knob properly. They installed a shower door backwards. They had shelves that were falling off the wall. They measured kitchen cabinets wrong. The amount of times that they told me they would be finished and they just kept pushing and pushing and pushing and pushing out? it astounded me and I have taken five different houses and apartments down to the studs. This company is the worst company I have worked with and I have worked with people in three different states on remodeling jobs. What’s actually even better is that they did not wanna honor a punchlist. They didn’t want to fix their mistakes. And the only reason that they agreed to come back was because I would take reviews down. I also had to report them to the Better Business Bureau. They came back. They didn’t finish the work. It was wrong. I have a damaged floor. And I’m being told to take down my reviews because I said that I would take them down after they finished and the owner of the company in wording in an email that gave him more time to finish because he knew he wouldn’t be able to finish ha ha ha I can’t tell you , emphasis to just stay away from this company. They are so far in over their heads they don’t have good people in the time that I have worked with them. I have rolled through four different project managers. They fired the people that worked on my bathroom, they use super cheap materials. You will not be getting quality and I promise you that if you don’t purchase your own materials, you will end up with plastic stuff from Home Depot that will be fall Off your walls in five years. Just go somewhere else they don’t have a super high standard of quality they might be fast. They might be able to do what they want to do, but if you have specific needs, they can’t deliver them they can only do what they have already put into a box .
