Ron and Tim were fantastic to work with. We built our house from across the country. They kept us in the loop all the way. Deadlines, meetings, supplies and everything that goes into building a house. There were a couple of items that did not get finished on time only because of the "COVID". This was not their fault. They made it right without hesitation. I would definitely use them again on our upcoming projects. We see Tim all the time in the development because of the new projects. It is super nice to know that he is around if we ever had any issues. Before we moved in full-time, he was able to check in on the house periodically. What a service! Thank you Drake Construction!

When we moved to NC we ended up buying a spec home from Drake Homes. After we moved in we did have a few minor issues but they were taken care. Ron’s superintendent Tim Rivenbark was great. If you needed anything he was very helpful and great to work with.

We used Drake Construction for the tear down of our old family beach house to the new construction of our beach house and everything in between.I'm sure this was not the easiest job for them to do as our old house still had the original asbestos siding on it (when I say old, I mean it was old) and they dealt with the entire remediation process. Then there was Hurricane Isaias and everything that brought along with it. During this whole time Ron was so professional and helpful, I could not have asked for a better experience. Mind you, this was all done while we live out of town, 3 1/2 hours away. To say we are surprised and so pleased with how easy this was is an understatement.Ron and his crew are so easy to work with. He was always just a text/phone call away. We can't say enough about working with Ron and his team at Drake Construction!* Great eye for design, style & function.* Spent hours with us looking at our lot, showing us some of his homes, listening to our desires, coming up with the perfect design and then pointing out some changes he would make off the top of his head to make it even better.* Great communicator!! We live in NYS and couldn't be there for breaking ground and much of the build but Ron was great about sending pictures, video & texts. He always responded quickly to texts, emails and calls.* Our NC neighbors couldn't believe how quickly the house went up and how hardworking his crew was.* Ron & his crew were almost immediately responsive to design requests and changes/ideas we had. When we were down for our first walk through and our requests for changes of doors/windows/steps were already in progress the next day.Ron is a true craftsman whose work is top notch! We could go on and on but would only be echoing all the other positive comments here. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ron for a new build or a remodel and would certainly use him again!

Ron Drake was fantastic to work with as he built our house on Oak Island, NC. We came to Oak Island and met with Ron a few times; however, we mostly worked with Ron through text and email. Our new retirement home was trashed by Florence. We went through 3 contractors before our church recommended Drake Construction. There was way more work than contractors during this time and Ron unlike our other contractors was open and truthful with us, which was a breath of fresh air. He told us how long it would take before he could do the work and was true to his word on everything. The work was top notch and our home is way nicer now than when we bought it new in December 2016. We had some ideas on changes we were wanting from the original design and Ron actually showed different ways to get exactly what we wanted at a fraction of the cost. If you want something done and done right Ron Drake is the best. He truly understands the concept of Staying Within Cost, On Schedule and Providing Outstanding Performance. Ron Drake will keep you well informed throughout the process.

As a former residential construction manager and builder I was first impressed with Ron’s attention to the details behind the drywall, the bones of the house. As the construction process moved along, his attention to the more obvious details such as the trim, paint, cabinetry, etc continued to shine. Even the drywall, trim, and paint in the garage match the quality of work in the rest of the house. Now that is attention to detail!I’m not saying that there weren’t challenges. But, it is not that there won’t be problems it is how one confronts and solves them. I will be forever grateful to Drake Construction. After Hurricane Florence hit North Carolina, severely damaging our retirement home, we needed help. Ron Drake and his team were there for us. The clean up was enormous, but Drake Construction hit the ground running. They patched the roof in several places, removed the disastrous mess of walls, ceilings, fans, insulation and other debris that fell on the wood floors throughout the house. In addition, Team Drake removed what was left of the kitchen, bedroom and sitting room and remediated the mold and mildew that covered multiple areas.After nearly a full week of clean up the real work began. Ron created a beautiful design for the kitchen, a creative lighting plan, installed a new roof and turned our retirement house into a gorgeous home.Ron Drake and his team do exceptional work that will not disappoint. Do not use this company. I was lied to for months about the proggress of my house and had $60,000 stolen from me! I am a real estate investor and was referred over to one member of TCB. Instead of working with her I ended up working with Keith. Over the next 6 months I was sent updates on progress, pictures of progress, etc. I stopped getting pictures or progress reports so I sent someone local over to check in on the property. It was all the way down to the studs with no aign of work in months! Keith had been sending me pictures of other homes he worked on, lying to me about the progress, and stole $60,000 from me that he still has not returned. Beware DO NOT trust a word out of this companies mouth or give them a dime of your money.Service: General construction
