My husband and I bought a condo that was remodeled by Mid-Ohio Contracting, sold by their real estate company, Connect Realty, LLC (developed by Brad Hayes). In the first year of living in the building, leaking started occurring through the walls, causing heavy damage in 3 of the 4 units in the building, and also in the common area. When we contacted Mid-Ohio, they told us the issue was the brick, and the 'exterior building warranty' they had issued to us didn't cover the integrity of the brick itself. They refused to help make any meaningful repairs to the building. After getting a second opinion from another mason, who indicated the tuck pointing was done incorrectly, at the incorrect time of year, and was then painted over which further increased the damage (all done by Mid-Ohio during their remodeling) - we were finally able to convince Mid-Ohio to come back and patch holes to fix the problem. This too was done insufficiently, and the water damage came back immediately after the next rain.Although the tuck pointing / water damage has been the major issue, when we moved in we also noted the following issues:- Home inspections yielded that gas lines were hooked up from incorrect meters to appliances- After the issue above was said to be 'resolved', Columbia Gas performed an inspection and found the gas lines were leaking- Water lines were tied to incorrect units' water heaters- Screws and nails were in our sink garbage disposal when we moved in- Downspouts were incorrectly piped, causing flooding in the basement- Items that Mid Ohio said they'd fix after we moved in through their warranty (popped nails, nicked paint on the wall from their people) have never been addressed (after various requests for them to do so).Mid-Ohio has ignored our phone calls and emails as these issues continued over the past 3 years. We're now engaging another mason to fix the water damage permanently. I would warn anyone buying a remodeled home or building by Mid-Ohio to have a thorough inspection done, and expect additional expenses to be incurred due to incomplete and inaccurate work from the remodel.

I bought a condo from Connect Realty LLC, owned by Brad Dehays in May 2016. Mid-Ohio Contracting Services was the company that did the contracting for the project. Within a month upon moving in to my condo, which was sold as fully renovated, water damage began affecting the interior walls. The water was coming in through the damaged and/or missing mortar that Mid-Ohio Contracting did not take care of on the exterior of the building. We immediately contacted Mid-Ohio and their sister companies (all owned by Brad Dehays).Their responses were sporadic, dishonest, and unsatisfactory. Mid-Ohio took weeks, and in some cases MONTHS to respond to emails or phone calls. When they finally did respond, one of their employees was quite rude to me, using swear words.Despite having a 2 year warranty which covered the exterior of the building, Mid-Ohio and their sister companies refused to do anything to fix our issue.Their worksmanship was appalling, their customer service was terrible, and their honesty and sense of right and wrong was shocking.I would not recommend this company to anyone who is looking to have quality work from quality people. They will provide you neither of those things.
