I had to have part of my soffit replaced due to a shingling issue that existed prior to purchasing my home. I was also having some rotting with my exterior trim and gable ends. John was quick to respond and when he came out he gave me some guidance on what was happening and how to solve for it. Solve for it he did. My family and home sadly were involved in the recent Goshen tornado. My home was in need of a new roof from the damage. I was so happy to find Harper Siding and Roofing. I contacted John and explained our situation too him and he fit me into his schedule the same day for an inspection. He was very sympathetic to our situation. He was professional, informative and refreshingly honest about roofs/repair. John was very passionate about keeping our local businesses thriving as well as our community. John kept me informed throughout the whole process and what to expect next. He was upfront and open about the prices and accommodating to our needs. If you are looking for a contractor who is a good communicator, upfront and honest, will take the time to address every question and concern, has a helpful and friendly crew, and cares about the quality of the work and you as customer/your satisfaction, we highly recommend Harper siding and roofing.Our house needed all new siding, gutters, and windows. John helped guide us as we tried to make this big decision and helped us stay right within budget with materials and labor.Once it was go time, within a week we went from the ugly little tan house on the corner to the nice, new, white updated modern look. I’ve had a strange leak along my roofline for years. I’ve had multiple roofers come and look at it and none of them have been able to ‘fix’ it. John and his team didn’t overpromise, but he took his time and looked at every possible angle to try and find the root of the leak (multiple roofers have never ever even offered to try and find the problem) he was extremely reasonably priced, and didn’t even want to accept compensation until he knew my leak was fixed. John and his guys gave excellent service and exceeded what was expected, He was the only roofer out of 5 that was not only on time but was early for the 1st appointment. He paid very close attention to detail and made sure that I was satisfied with every aspect. Extremely reliable he would even answer my text messages at 5:30 in the morning because I work 3rd shift. He went above and beyond replacing bricks on my chimney and making sure my gutters flowed correctly. He answered every question I had and explained it very well. Clean up was great with almost no nails left behind. We received three bids to completely remove and replace our existing roof, and while Harper Siding and Roofing was the middle of the three quotes (but only marginally above the lowest all things considered), the value of the service we received absolutely confirmed that we had made the right choice. John's team was thorough, polite, and even engaging with my kids. They went above and beyond, even trimming back some stray branches and cleaning up the gutters on the detached garage (which was not included in the project at all). After the team left, you wouldn't have guessed they had even been there (except for our pristine new roof).Throughout the whole project John was responsive and completely on top of it. I felt like I could step aside and trust that he was coordinating all the pieces. He is also a really nice guy too- someone you'd definitely like to grab a beer with when he's not working his butt off.
