Please read!!!Steve was our tech. I was not home and had my sister in law meet him. He and his apprentice came in and were checking the outside unit for the heat pump to keep up with “manufacturing warranty”. They then went outside and checked the unit. Then came back in and gave a 30 dollar charge which has still not been said what they would be fixing. Then left rudely from what I was told.As can be seen from the pictures of when I got home. They had pulled the fuses out and left 240v live outside where there are lots of kids in the area. I have been an electrician for many years and when I worked residential service this would be a fireable offense. I’m really hoping the company takes this seriously. I had a wonderful experience with this company. They did good work in replacing my A/C unit with one that was quality, affordable, and very competitive in price with other companies in the area. Their workers are professional, respectful, and have a positive energy. After installation, I felt that the house was not cooling like it should -- so I called them back. They were very responsive and immediately sent a tech over to diagnose (for free), only to find that I also had a faulty thermostat, which they replaced at no cost to me. Altogether, the A/C is now cooling our home beautifully and we are comfortable again!

My old air conditioner died and my central heating system was more than 20 years old. I hired this company to replace the heating and A/C units. Two technicians came next day, at ~9 AM and installed both units (Trane manufacturer) by 4 PM, being quiet while working. They removed all old equipment, installed new ones, cleaned the working space and showed me how to use a new thermostat. The new air conditioner is quiet and keeps the temperature well. It is a summer time and I have not tried the new heater yet. So far, I am happy with the work done by these people. The Universal Heating & Cooling provided 1 year service and 3 years labor warranty on the installed equipment. I've also got 10 years part warranty through Trane. Trane extends the warranty for 5 more years, if the equipment is registered at the Trane website. This is my first experience with Universal Heating and Cooling. Highly recommend.Service: Install AC

Unit was pulling high amps on start up and while running. Service Tech Noah, replaced the condenser and contractor while adding a hard start kit. Amperage is down to 6 on start up and 12 while running! The sound of the system is a lot smoother during the cycling as well! I had Universal out for preventive maintenance on our furnace. I was hesitant until I read reviews in several places and they were almost all excellent. They were excellent for me as well. Showed up on time, performed preventive services, offered to answer questions, reminded to change filter (now), logged system for future service or part ordering and informed me that they do other services such as AC, duct cleaning, water heater, etc. Quick call by tech and he was on his way.Service: HVAC system maintenance
