I can't say enough good things about this company and it's team. We were looking for a roofing company to help with our first ever homeowners insurance claim due to a leaking ceiling in our upstairs bedroom. Within 30 minutes of sending an initial email, Brian had called to get some more info about our problem & let us know Nick would be in touch soon. Less than 24 hours later, Nick had called & set up time to come get on our roof himself & assess the damage. He walked us through the entire process in terms non-construction/insurance folk could understand, was available at any time (nights & weekends included) to answer our questions & be the reassuring voice of calm, making the entire claim process as easy as it could be. Nick went to bat for our family on more than one occasion & I can't thank him enough for the EXCELLENT customer service he provided. He always made us feel like we were his #1 clients & assured us he was going to get the job done with as little out of pocket expense for us as possible (which he did!). Our roof has been completely replaced, the interior ceiling damage was repaired, the entire room repainted & looks FANTASTIC. Even with the few bumps in the road we hit with insurance, Nick continuously said "Relax. I've got you. I promise" and made good on that promise. I will 100% be calling Nick & Sergeants for any future home repair & would recommend this company to anyone!

Excited to do business with Sargeant’s. Looked at reviews before finally selecting them. It was an insurance claim because of storm damage this past July ‘23. Fought with SF the whole way. Josh Sulin really went to bat for us. SF was only going to replace our porch roof and skylights. Josh confirmed with us that there was significant damage on our main roof and garage roofs too. With his countless pictures taken, SF finally came around with their second Adjuster and we got all three roofs completed today. Josh Sulin really went above and beyond to help us with our roof situation. We couldn’t be happier and we highly recommend Josh, Don Meyer the owner and their roofing workers.

Sergeants did a project in our neighborhood and I watched it progress. The team looked very professional and the work looked great. I needed some work done so I contacted them. Enter Nick, he was awesome. The military connection was there and I had a sense that I was dealing with a quality company. They were invaluable in helping to work through the storm damage with the insurance company, and before we knew it, we were ready to start the project. Just like the previous project I watched, my project went through with no issues and I am very satisfied with the results. Nick and Sergeants are top notch.

Started with contractor recommended by insurance company which didn't even climb on roof. Nick from Seargants came and immediately climbed on roof and contacted insurance agency and communicated throughout the process and explained everything thoroughly. Answered questions promptly regardless of time of day or weekend. We actually delayed install due to vacation and Nick scheduled for when we returned. New roof and skylights installed in one day including two other outbuildings not covered by insurance. No sign they were here after they cleaned up other than a beautiful new roof(s) Highly recommend without hesitation. My experience with Sergeants was very positive and eye-opening. After suffering wind damage to the asphalt roof on my house, I called them to get a free inspection. The owner (Don) came out himself to do the inspection. He spent over an hour on the roof and took lots of pictures to document the damage. He then advised me to make a claim with my insurance carrier.He told me that I had a good chance at a full roof replacement, not just a repair, because the shingles I had were not made anymore and could not be matched for color and size. By Ohio law that required replacement. Don told me that I had a commitment to his company for the replacement work only if the insurance company paid my claim. But he also warned me that the whole process with the insurance company could take many months because they typically delay paying as long as they can or maybe not at all. Sergeants was at my house when the insurance adjusters came for their inspection. When that meeting did not go well, Sergeants helped me to get another adjuster to do a second inspection. They were onsite for that inspection also. Through all of the delays by the insurance company Sergeants kept advising me to be patient and not give up. After more than 4 months of waiting for the insurance payment, Sergeants completed the work in one day (tear-off, some sheathing replacement and new roof). I am pleased with the results. I highly recommend them.

I called Sergeant's at the first sign of storm damage to my roof. The owner Don Meyer came out immediately and preformed a complete inspection of my roof. He recommended replacing the roof. He gave me an estimate that was more than fair. He worked diligently with my insurance company to help me replace this roof. His crew came out within a couple days and they did an outstanding job and they were a very kind and respectful group of young men. Don stopped by several times during the work to check up on progress. He also did a follow up inspection. I'm very pleased with Sergeants and would highly recommend them to anyone. One of the most professional companies I've ever worked with.

What a wonderful experience working with Sergeants Home Improvements. They deserve 5 stars and more. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to replace their roof. Owner Don Meyer and his staff were incredibly helpful in this process from start to finish. Working with Josh Sulin was a God send. He is personable, professional, knowledgeable, and dependable. He started with a very thorough roof inspection of our family home that dates back to the 1800's. He explained everything to us and advised us on how we should proceed by first filing a claim with our Insurance company. Josh was always present and helpful with Insurance adjusters and Engineer when they came to inspect the roof. Also, he and Don were always prompt to answer all our questions and concerns. My husband and I filed a wind claim for roof and siding damage last summer, and from start to finish, Josh Sulin, our project lead, was kind, knowledgeable and professional. He worked out all of the fine details with our insurance company to make sure that our roof and siding needs were taken care of properly and to our liking. Josh was present from start to finish with the entire project, even taking the time to meet our insurance adjuster at the initial inspection.We also had Sergeants install all new Vinyl replacement windows. Sergeants took care of our roof after a never ending Insurance battle. Roof was finished in one day! I was nervous about nails or debris left over since we have kids and dogs always running around. Cleanup was great! No debris or nails left over and they also cleaned up our neighbors driveway!

We callled due to a leak coming in one of the bathrooms. They were able to come out the same day for an inspection. The inspection was thorough. And Mike explained all issues and what my choices were going forward. We did a complete tear off and install of a new roof. Sergeant’s was timely, professional, and did quality work on our roof. Their crew was able to knock this job out pretty fast considering the multi-peak roof. Being a veteran myself, I try to use veteran owned businesses. We cannot say enough about every aspect of Sergeants Home Improvement. We initially requested them to take a look at a mold issue in our attic. They were the first company that took the time to educate us on our lack of ventilation which ultimately led to our mold issue.While here, Sergeants inspected our roof and noticed “obvious wind damage.” This began our nightmare claims process with our insurer. Fortunately for us, we’ve had Sergeants to navigate the way. Every single aspect of what Sergeants told us has come to fruition with our insurance provider. Sergeants has been INVALUABLE during this whole ordeal.On to the quality of our new metal roof: The professionalism of the installation crew coupled with suggestions offered by Sergeants has made us the roofing envy of the neighborhood. Sergeants also took care of getting us new gutters and downspouts which really tied everything together.Because of the above, we have refereed them to family and friends and several are on their spring calendar for roof replacements.We intend to re-side our home and purchase new windows in the future. Sergeants will be the company we go to for those additions to our home and wouldn’t hesitate suggesting anyone use them for all of their exterior home repairs/new construction needs.

I really appreciate the recommend that I got to call Sergeants for a consultation about my roof. The person who came was Josh Sulin. His inspection was very thorough, and took several hours. It appeared that I had lots of hail damage on the roof, gutters, Window screens and frames. After he was through Josh discussed all the damage, showing me pictures and doing a walk around of the places I could see. I decided to sign a contract to have a roof replacement. When the time came, Josh supervised all aspects of the replacement. Things came together in perfect order. The dumpster, shingle delivery, and best of all the roofers. They were on time, prepared the area all around the house and started working, staying until dark. They were methodical and efficient, Josh was there helping, advising and taking care of details the entire time. Also, keeping me informed of the progress. Deliveries came and went and at the completion of the job, cleanup was very thorough. Everything moved was put back in place, I was very impressed. The roofers were polite, clean, and dependable. I am having some siding replaced as well and Josh is keeping me on track about that job and when it is scheduled. Some of my neighbors are signing with Sergeants too when they have seen how well the finished product looks. Josh is a very hands-on person and answers questions and offers suggestions. Wow! Five stars is not enough. Sergeants came to the rescue for us. I cannot say enough good stuff.But let me back up… Sergeants replaced our roof a few years back, doing excellent work! Then last week, while my husband was in the hospital recovering from a surgery — the day he was to come home! - I noticed discoloration on the ceiling in an upstairs bedroom in our two-story home in West Akron.Who ya gonna call? Sergeants of course! I called and employees were at my home in no time. They figured out that a large tree branch that had fallen some time before had punctured the roof. I recalled the branch falling, but I didn’t realize that it had damaged the roof.The Sergeants employees - kind and patient with a very flustered me - fixed the hole (actually two holes - one bigger than the other) and reshingled the area in less than an hour - before I was to fetch my hubby from the hospital. And there was no evidence on the ground (discarded shingles etc. ) that the workers had been there. They cleaned everything up!)Talk about customer service! You can count on Sergeants to take excellent care of you from the initial job onward. How lucky are we to have a great company like this in our community! This is the first Google review I have left for a company. Sergeants is that good - I want to let others know of their excellent work! The pictures show the puncture and then the roof all fixed! (There was a smaller puncture hole nearby that also was fixed and reshingled.)

As a Veteran myself, I chose Sergeants because they are also a Veteran owned business. It was a very great decision. I noticed some of my shingles were missing from storm damage. I didn't really know what to do so I called Sergeants and they came out and inspected my property and found a lot of storm damage on my property. They completely walked me through the Insurance Claim process and explained everything I needed to know to get my damage taken care of properly.Once we filed the claim, the Insurance Company gave me a very low-ball amount of money and with the help of Sergeants we almost doubled the amount the Insurance Company gave us originally. I never realized how much the Insurance Companies really aren't on your side as a homeowner. Sergeants handled all of this for me and with some patience the Insurance Company finally agreed to everything Sergeants educated us about.I have already referred Sergeants to other family and friends because of the quality of service and will continue to. They were very informative and helpful in the whole process. A very honest contractor that communicated very well and we love the end product.I even upgraded to a metal roof. I work for an insurance company-I deal with a lot of different contractors on a regular basis. The way that Nick took care of his customer and went to bat for him (11 month long process). Nick had to jump through hoops, thrown out by the insurance company and was patient the whole time.
