11/2/23: Update. The Roofing Crew came out today and cleaned up the edging (Issue #2). I'm happy with it. Bumped up a Star.As for issue #1, going to wait until some warmer weather to see if the shingles lay down as discussed. Otherwise, I will contact in the Spring/Summer to address/resolve.11/1/23: Recently had the roof done two days ago. There are some issues that I’m working with one of the Superintendents to resolve.First issue: On the top roof, front side, several shingles have a wrinkled crease as if something heavy was placed on them. They are not laying down flat like the others. See attached photos.Second issue: The edging was not evenly cut around the entire house. Who would have known how efficient the roofing crew was! The team knew their jobs and employed them flawlessly as far as we could detect. We have a one story house. We had a narrow window to complete the job, and the workers worked quickly and efficiently to meet the deadline. At the end of the job they made sure that every scrap was picked up and removed. We signed the contract September 9th. New roofs put on house and shop October 2nd. We never expected to have new roofs put on within this time frame.Approximately 10 people worked on the roofs. They cleaned up as they went. We, as well as our neighbors, were in awe of how well they worked together. Our property was immaculate when they left. House and shop roofs completed in 1 day with many people working together.We changed the old style roof vents for ridge vents. Great look, the roof looks fantastic.Excellent company to work with. The crew showed up to my house on time and were all incredibly respectful and friendly. They answered all my questions throughout the install, and I had many. There were 4 crew members and they worked quickly and cleaned up the debris from removing the old roof and the install extremely well. My roof was a mess before, but looks amazing now. Every person I dealt with from Deshutes Roofing made the experience a good one. I definitely would recommend them!

Company is very responsive. Got back to me quickly with answers on questions I had. Very professional. I had a problem with the condition of the trim that they reapplied. They responded immediately and rectified the problem. If I have one criticism it’s that if potential problems surface during the installation the property owner should be notified. The trim was bad and should not have been reinstalled. They should also have used the correct color caulking.Service: Roof installation

I included Deschutes Roofing in my estimate requests based on them having a high rating from GAF and an enthusiastic endorsement from a neighbor. The estimater was polite, explained the condition of the roof, and not high pressure. It was not quite the cheapest bid, but it was the most comprehensive and gave me confidence.The crew was on time, worked hard all day, and did a very good job of cleaning up at the end even though they were working with flashlights after sundown. I have a low slope roof on a slight rise, so I can't see much of it. What I can see looks good.I've had the roof three days with no rain, so I obviously can't give a rating on long term endurance. However, other than writing the checks, they made it a painless experience.

I literally had to buy a "no soliciting" sign because we had a roof salesperson come to our door every single week since we moved in. That seemed to solve the problem for all except for Deschutes Roofing, whose sales team were entitled enough to ring my doorbell 3 times (which is literally next to the sign). When I opened the door and directed their attention to the sign at my front door, they continued to pitch me on a new roof.I absolutely need a new roof but I will never use this company simply because of how entitled their door to door sales people are.

Things started off a bit rocky, it took weeks to get the quotes, and then a little bit of time to get on the schedule, but we made the right choice by going with Deschutes Roofing. The crew was great, they did good work, and completed the job in the time the quoted. Our new roof looks great.

Mark and Dave are excellent employees, and they treated me really fair. The roofing crew did though take down my internet Antenna and we lost internet for a few days. Mark said he would have no problem covering cost of internet technician and took it off my bill. Crew did a great job cleaning up their mess and I would recommend to anyone especially for a good price for senior citizens.

Worst Roofing company in Bend Oregon. They repaired My roof two years ago and it started leaking again in the same place. I called them and was told it's out of warranty which wasn't my concern it was the fact that it was leaking again in the middle of my living room! They then set up an appointment with a service person that would come evaluate He failed to show up for the appointment even though I had confirmed it with there office the day before he stated it didn't show up on his calendar. He the told me had chatted with the roofer that fixed it and the roofer had recalled the repair and he would schedule a time to fix. 1 year later NO Fix. My calls to Deschutes Roofing say your on the list but not scheduled yet...How can you stay in business this way. I've ask to speak to Owner or Manager BUT have gotten Zero response. Unacceptable....

Scheduled an appointment for an estimate. They confirmed 10am over the phone. Never got a follow up or reminder, so I planned on the 10am arrival as was stated on the phone. I got a text from our estimator 1 hour before his scheduled arrival time of 10:00am, that he would like to reschedule do to “snow”. Mind you, The city streets and parkways have been plowed and are dry, the snow has melted Off of our roof and the sun is out during this day. The estimator mentions in a text that he had a scheduled arrive time of 12:00pm!? I already had to make accommodations in my schedule for their quoted 10am arrival time, let alone 12:00pm. The estimator said he could only “try” to be there at 10:00. I couldn’t risk him being late and “trying” to make it at the previously promised time. If this is a sign of how they operate and manage their time, I don’t want any more involvement with Deschutes roofing. I cancelled my appointment and won’t be calling or referring them.

From start to finish, these guys are the best. When you need roof work done, call Gabriel and he will walk you through the process and explain everything they will do. This crew worked tirelessly and finished the job in one day, no worry about rain exposure or delays. The bid they gave us was within $100 of others, (lower than others) but the warranty was far better than anyone else. I can recommend Deschutes Roofing without any hesitation. The owner of the business came to see me after the work was done, walked the roof, took a video, and met with me to make sure everything was as I wanted it to be. My initial contact with Deschutes Roofing was with their estimators/consultants that came out initially to look at my roof. They arrived on time and were very professional. After looking at my roof, they sat down with me, going over pictures they took, and explaining some of the possible problems. They laid out a few solutions and clearly explained what my options were. After getting a few more bids from other companies, we found Deschutes estimate very fair and in the middle of our possible choices. After contacting Deschutes with our decision they were able to offer several financing options for this sizable investment in our home. They were also able to accommodate our schedule since we have some other housing projects happening this summer. On the day, they arrived promptly at 7:00am and got right to work. They worked through the day, giving occasional updates throughout, and were finished about 7:30pm with cleanup done. The roof looks great and I've got several comments from my neighbors about how nice it looks. I would recommend Deschutes Roofing to everyone.Services: Roof inspection, Roof installation

I would not recommend working with Deschutes Roofing. I hired them to replace a shingle roof with a metal roof. They did charge competitive rates.When the crew came to install the roof the first day, no one spoke english. I had to make calls all morning to get someone to come out who did speak english, and he barely did. This is not what I expected as I had things I needed to communicate with the crew about, such as safely removing a satellite dish.They removed the old shingle roof and started placing the new metal panels. They damaged some panels on the way up to the roof, and the crew was playing around (often with the metal panels) like children. They did not lay a string line, and a lot of the panels they did lay the first day were not straight.Then they stopped placing panels and I got a call saying they had to stop the job since the majority of the panels were the wrong color, and that they'd be back in a couple weeks to lay the rest of the panels. This is after they had torn off my existing shingle roof. And in the meantime 80% of my roof is not done. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I complained a lot to the manager who told me this, and then magically later that evening they found enough panels of the right color to finish the job the next day. Pretty strange ...The next day there was a crew lead who spoke english better, but not great, and the crew acted more professionally. They tore off all the panels (which were damaged and not straight) they laid the first day, and replaced them.They did a good job laying the panels starting on the second day, but they did not want to replace the wood sheets under the roof and claimed my trusses were out of calibration, causing wood planks to be uneven. This caused the metal panels to show all the imperfections, and it now looks like the panels were bent in the middle since they have a raised lip in the middle of the panel. I would have wanted the crew/company to be willing to replace the "uneven" wood panels before laying the metal panels.They also removed a bunch of wood trim that would not work with the metal roof, and did not trim it and reapply it. Instead they left that up to me. They knew this trim would need to be removed (or should have, since they came out to look at the roof before quoting me), and still were not prepared to trim/replace and reapply it.Last problem was that the crew was very messy for the entire project. Trash blowing down the street and nails thrown everywhere.I would not recommend this company.Update: Deschutes Roofing also installed gutters and heat cables when they installed the roof. Scott, the gutter manager or something, recommended that I install the gutters going from the roof to the ground down the middle of my house because it would be a straight line, instead of making a couple turns and running them down the end of the garage.In addition, the heat cables (front and rear of my house) are not working a couple months after install. I called to place a warranty claim, and they said they would call me back within 48 hours. Its been two weeks and nothing. Gives me a lot of faith in the roof warranty.

I signed a contract for new gutters with Deschutes Roofing in early September 2023. The sales person was friendly and told me it was a few weeks out to installation. It is now end of October and I have never received an update on the project without me calling in and asking. I have still yet to receive an install date. The customer service is unacceptable. It would be one thing if they kept me up to date with reasons for the delay in installation but I have never received a call. I have been led along, saying that I am on the schedule for "next week" numerous times but still have yet to get a confirmation. I will never be using this company again for any services as this process has gotten to the point of being out of a bad comedy. I have been patient, almost 2 months, and have been willing the be understanding but the fact that I have to constantly push for update myself and then always get the same non-committal response is insane.Service: Gutter installation

Was very satisfied with the work done by Deschutes Roofing. Only waited 2 weeks to have work started. The work was completed in 1 day, work crews were on time and thoroughly cleaned up debris around my home after job was completed. I appreciated response from company representatives whenever I had questions. Only concern I had was damage done to a section of gutter by crew member placing ladder against gutter.
