I have tried for over 2 years to get someone to fix the leaky roof of an equipment room I have. I know all the roofers in our area are really busy and booked out for a long time, but I couldn't even get someone to come look at the project and put me on a waiting list. I gave up trying to find someone and just had my husband patch the roof and we hoped for the best. A few months ago I met Zach from Northwest Building Specialists and mentioned the project to him, not expecting him to have time to take it on. He immediately went over to our roof, took measurements, and sent me an estimate! While Northwest Building Specialists had many other jobs going on, they worked our roof in on the weekends and we couldn't be happier! Northwest Building Specialists were great to work with from beginning to end and completed an excellent job on time. They answered many questions as we determined the best product to use and how to prepare our flat balcony deck for a vinyl membrane. The crew showed up on time and I heard them repeatedly discussing how best to tackle difficult spots to get the best result. Their cost was fair, especially considering the crew had to travel 100 miles to the job site. Could not have been more pleased.

A BIG huge thank you to Mike and his team. First, Mike actually returned phone calls - no other roofer I left messages for did. He came out, gave me the estimate, explained the process, and answered all of my questions. Amazingly, they were able to squeeze in my roof repair job quickly. The NW Building Specialists crew were great, they arrived on time, finished earlier than expected, and did an incredible job. Later that day we had a good rain storm hit the area and no leaks!! First, Customer Service is not dead on the coast, these folks proved it. Mike came soon after asking for bid, returned calls and emails. Gave a very reasonable bid, was honest to say I would be 6/8 weeks out on scheduling. Then came the date. Wow ! his crew was heads down and in high gear. 2 1/2 days later they finished clean-up, pack-up and gone without a trace that they had been here, with exception of a new vinyl roof on a 4 wide manufactured home. Your company installed a membrane roof on my grandchildren's flat roofed house just recently and they were delighted with your crew and the way the work was done in such a short time. As a person with many years in the construction trade I had to check out the job for my satisfaction. I was impressed with the quality of workmanship and material used. Mike and his crew were Awesome! I'd almost say miracle workers since they did the job in half the time originally quoted. I have a small flat roof house that needed to be redone. Originally told it would take 3 days tops and they did it in a day in a half! They were able to knock out my defunct chimney and patch the hole and even noticed that I had a gutter issue and fixed that too! Beware of mid-project bid addendums. Discovered a small amount of dry rot during my roof install. Agreed to have them do the repair. Was charged for 10 hours (2 contractors, 5 hours each, at $65/hr) for a job that should have taken no more than 2 hours (4 hours charged for 2 contractors). Brought it to the attention of the owner but was told that it took them 5 hours. My wife was home and can attest that isn't the case. Regardless, when you are mid project, they have you over a barrel and there really isn't much you can do about it. It's disappointing, because they were doing a nice job, but lost my trust and recommendation over what I consider as a dishonest business practice. I gave them the opportunity to make it right, but after no response, I paid my bill, but would not recommend them due to this experience.Service: Roof installation

Replace tar paper roof with vinyl and added a typical gutter system. Very happy with that part. Also replace a rotten wrap around deck with a vinyl deck. I was leery about a vinyl deck, but love the easy of cleaning and it is much more beautiful than I imagined. Very happy.Services: Gutter installation, Roof installation
