There's no contractor / construction company that we trust more than Tad Oliphant Construction LLC. We've counted on him for multiple jobs big and small (ripped off / replaced roof; repaired deck; built windbreaks; designed, built and installed a doggy wheelchair ramp). Every job has come in on budget and on time. As happens when a job involves tearing out old stuff, we've had some surprises. Tad is a quick study, able to identify alternatives and options to make recommendations based on budget flexibility. Of course, he's licensed, bonded and insured (don't trust anyone that isn't) and I like that he takes pride in his work. He's a local guy with a big following. Unless you've got water pouring in your home, you'll probably have to wait for time to free up in his calendar. It's worth waiting for him if you want someone you can trust, that's well thought of, is smart, fast and competitively priced.

He, along with his crew showed up everyday, worked continuously thru-out the day and showed consideration for my Mom along with the neighbors by not using foul language or blasting offensive music. From start to finish Tad stayed in contact, would always confer with me to insure the final product was what I had envisioned , never guessing or making assumptions. Tad Oliphant Construction is a quality company - I feel privileged to have Tad as my contractor and be able to recommend him to others in need of a contractor.Side Note- I am a previous owner of a high end custom contracting business myself. Tad and Jeff are outstanding and easy to work with! They did a great job demoing our kitchen and remodeling it. Through no fault of theirs, the cabinets we ordered didn't come in all at one time. Tad and crew made time in their busy schedule to accommodate our needs as new pieces arrived. A third party counter company installed our new counters in half the time they had alloted because they didn't have to make any adjustments to the cabinets Tad installed. They told me that quite often newly installed cabinets need to be levelled up before they can install the counter. Definitely recommend.

Tad and his crew removed and replaced old siding from my 75+ year old house on the coast. In the process, they removed and replaced damaged underlayment and old windows and corrected many other issues large and small that were a result of rain, rain, salt air and years of previous homeowners’ “improvements”. They treated my funky old house with the utmost respect and were very particular about making every detail perfect. In addition, they are really nice nice guys and pleasant to work with. Both the original bid and bill for additional work were very reasonable. Not only would I hire them again, I’ve already given them a list of projects for the inside of the house.

We found our self in need of some home repairs and had to find a copentant general contractor quickly. We called Tad on a Saturday and he meet up with us that same day to go over our needs. We felt very comfortable and got a good feeling he could handle the work. Tad sent us over a reasonable, professional quote in a day with the work we went over. We hired Tad and Jeff twice now and would do so again! They first built an extension on our deck. The next time was to remove old decking and replace with trek. Tad and Jeff did extensive work on our 45 year old house. This house is co-owned by 5 siblings. I appreciated how well he was able to communicate to the involved owners and offer sound solutions. They replaced siding. Remedied dry rot. Measured repeatedly, ordered and replaced windows and trim. Aesthetics was always considered when determining products to use and actual construction. They gladly and professionally problem solved issues while also listened to the owner’s ideas. Tad went out of his way to insure our new windows were adequately caulked for storms and weather. His advice was invaluable as we (the owners) made decisions on a budget. I highly recommend him for all your construction needs.

Tad Oliphant Construction delivers. Their prices are affordable. When you receive a bid, you know what you will be getting. Tad is honest and sincere. If something else is discovered during the work, it is not something that he was aware of when the job started. By this I am saying he does not add on items to get more money. The work is explained when the contract is signed. If there is something we cannot do ourselves, Tad is called. To top everything else, his work is superior to all other contractors.

We met Tad and Jeff when they were working on our neighbor's home. At that time we were having the entire inside of our home painted. We were new to the area as we had just bought a home here in Newport. Tad came over to say hi and we mentioned that we would be replacing all flooring when the painter was finished. He gave us his business card and offered to bid the flooring and trim. This was a big job w/approx. 1600 sq.ft. of vinyl planking plus all the trim had to be measured, cut, painted, and installed. To our complete satisfaction they were very knowledgeable in installing this type of flooring which made it real easy to trust their work. This company was dependable, honest, and gave quality work to the point of being perfectionists! Future projects with our home will solely be with Tad Oliphant Construction. We could go on and on but in a nutshell, they are the best! . On a scale of 1-10, we give them a 10+++. They went over & above any expectations that we had. And if there is a wait for them, believe it, they will be worth it. We are blessed to know them & blessed to have had their help.

A main support beam for my second story deck failed on my home in November and I could not find any construction company to examine it or repair it until mid January. Unfortunately, the winter storms with gale force winds were coming in that week. Tad, with an assistant , drove down from Lincoln City where his crew was that week to Waldport a few hours before the storm landed. They were able to shore up support for the second story deck prior to the large storms arrival that evening until permanent repairs could be completed! Quite frankly, I am very grateful for the timely and excellent work Opliphant Construction completed! Without their work my deck would surely have collapsed during the storms this winter. He is professional, timely, he keeps you informed of the work plans and alterations to it that might be needed. In short, I will use him for any other construction needs I may have going forward. Best work I have had done in sixteen years in Bayshore!

I'm a single mom of three with a modest home. Our house is an investment our future. Interviewed and got quotes from 3 other contractors.....Tad Oliphant and Co. was the one that I chose. Some were more expensive and some were less. I chose the right one.It's a small company so I never had to search for the owner if I had questions, he was right there. He and his crew were professional, timely, honest and easy to work with. When any change needed to be made or a problem arose, he was quick to find solution and happy to work with me.I've hired him for a number of projects now (fixing dry rot, sky light installation, window trim, and exterior house paint) and trust his work and his ethics. I have family and friends in the industry and know how hard it can be to find a good contractor.The best part is the day he and his crew went the extra mile for me. I, in an effort to save money on a repairman, chose to replace the belt on my drier myself. All went well until I figured out that I didn't have the strength to stretch it over a certain spot. They saw me under the drier, on the floor of my garage, with parts scattered from one end to the other and, without asking, jumped right in. The belt was a nightmare but they took an hour plus out of their day to help me.If you're looking for a honest, hard working, and ethical contractor....this is your guy. Can't thank them enough.
