ReNu was very easy to work with from start to finish. They did a great job with keeping us informed of the progress of our project. They were ahead of schedule. The install crew were able to get the job done in 2 days with very minimal interruption to our daily life.The only reason they are not a 5 star all the way is the delay in providing the rebate promised at sign up, and they lacked on the ending of the project with how things will work between your solar system and power company.Overall I recommend this company to anyone wanting to install solar panels!

Wonderful experience - would do it again if I could! Everyone was incredibly professional and answered all of our questions. They provided very thorough information and estimates of projected electric usage and rates that allowed us to take our time and make a well informed decision on our solar investment. We now pay nothing for our electricity most months. And with steadily increasing national electricity prices, our savings will only get larger. I would recommend ReNu to anyone. Always respectful and friendly.

We bought solar panels from Renu. We knew our roof would need replaced in 6 years or so. We asked how much would it cost to remove the panels & put them back when the roof is done. The sales person said $1000. So, we bought the solar panels. Our roof needs replaced now. Renu wouldn't return our calls. My husband went there to set up an appointment in person, and they said due to inflation, it will now cost $ 11,000 to temporarily remove the panels. We will now need to file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office.

The sales rep was very friendly and made the process easy. The system was actually installed ahead of schedule and went up with no issues. The activation took longer than I expected, but with all of the steps involved, it gets complicated. Project Manager Sean did well to move it along as quickly as possible. I would recommend ReNu for your solar project.

Sales person came to house and was personable. Set up an appointment and less than 12 hours before appointment they cancelled. I was skeptical about the company from the start but this is a NO NO! Would they show up for install? XXX.

Very friendly, but she may have over stated the system capabilities.They were very good at selling me my solar panels, I am getting the feeling my system may be undersized, versus the predicted output. Everyone was very friendly. They could have cleaned up the job site a little better. I am still finding zip tie ends in my yard almost a year later. Once the system was installed, I could have used more assistance setting up my accounts and managing my app/settings. It was working, but it wasn't optimized, so I missed out on some savings. A thorough walk through of how to use the app would have been great.

My father is a senior and he was about to be taken advertising of. I had no idea about this meeting and I sat in to listen. I heard great things about solar panels but know nothing about them myself. I asked questions as simple as “what if he decided in the future to get rid of the solar panels” and all I got was “why would you want to…” I genuinely was looking for some type of guarantee and the salesman got angry with all my questions. I get there’s frustration because a conversation was had previous to this appointment that my dad probably mislead them to believe he was purchasing today but be easier on me when I have questions. I asked for a pamphlet so I could look into it more and was told “we are the pamphlet…” my dad was told everything was free apparently and when he was telling my dad numbers my dad got confused (he’s a senior) and the man got angry and started putting his stuff away in his bag and left with leaving no information. I felt uncomfortable and was happy he left. He answered every thing so briefly and no details and laughed as if I was supposed to know the answers already like it’s some great deal. Maybe it is a great deal but I’ll have no idea due to the lack of information I was provided. Work on your people skills.

The solar install went well. A couple years in and we have a roof leak. I left messages and didn't hear back. I had received a text from renu to give referrals. So I texted back. She said Jacob would contact me about looking at the problem. He came over and said the supports were not installed properly and they would repair the leak and fix the support. That was a week and a half ago. I have left messages with the scheduling and texted Megan back multiple times trying to get something done. I have received no response to any of my messages. The rain last week has now ruined the drywall of my bathroom ceiling. The insulation in the area is soaked. I am no further along in getting this fixed. They contacted me to get referrals, but when you don't take care of your customer, how do you expect to get a referrals from them.I see your reply. But I am still no further in getting this fixed. I was willing to pay for a service call to get the panels removed, fix the leak and reinstall the panels. To just come out and look at it and then say, we didn't do it. That is not customer service. You tell your customer, that it doesn't look like it is an install issue from the panels. We can take care of you. But I never got that. The person came out and looked at it and said to my son, he could not tell where the leak was coming from but didn't think it was the panels. That's fine. But he never called me back to say. We can fix it, lets schedule you for a service call. Part of the reason I talked to your company originally was you advertise as a solar and roofing company. You didn't install the roof, but I should be able to get you to fix a leak. I do construction management, this is how it should be done.

We got to know about ReNu Solar through one of their sales people around September of 2023. We had been interested in using solar energy but had no idea where to begin. This was indeed a great meeting with the salesperson. Well, ReNu worked with us so well. They got right to it, communicated with us every step if the way, and in just a couple of months, they had our solar panels set up and ready to go. By 28th of December 2023, we were officially GREEN ... 🙂 . They explained everything we needed to know about our system and use. I had ReNu come out a couple of years ago and Danielle sold me this solar system. I was a little nervous because my roof was just put on a few months prior and we had some bumps along the way with permitting but ReNu took care of the entire process and fought for me to have this system the way I wanted it while protecting my brand new roof. They communicated with me every step of the way. They even came out in the cold in the snow to make sure my system got installed in a timely manner after the delays with permitting. My system has been working with no problems for over 2 years. If you want an honest, thorough solar company with quality employees, ReNu is the place to go

BE WARNED THEY WILL NOT FOLLOW UP OR COMPLETE THEIR WORKWhile initially fantastic, we signed up in June 2022 with an anticipated completion date of that fall. Installment did not happen until January 2023 and to this day we have not been given a replacement battery and been able to connect the bulk of our system. Autumn and Alex have continually passed the buck to the battery company although ReNu continues with new construction projects. I have made another round of calls and emails this morning in hopes of resolving the issue and hope to have more information soon to post new updatesUpdate 1: 24 hours no response other than on here. My husband reminded me that our garage was also damaged and we are still owed $3000 as was included in the initial contract.Update 2: we were contacted and told the owner would reach out by the end of the week. It’s Friday morning so fingers crossed!Update 3: no contact still so we have taken to reading the contract - which my husband does for a living- and are ready to start looking for council

ReNu did a complete job. It is a long process based on weather, planning, engineering, permits and inspection. After all that there is a setup process. ReNu managed the whole process. We have been up about 3 months now. Learning the system and how to take advantage of cost savings takes some time to learn. Unexpected issues did happen but I can say they were resolved and I would recommend you consider them if you are going solar in PA.

Here is a review from one year out:The solar panels are great! I highly recommend that people go solar. I have not paid for electricity since these things were turned on in the spring. It is also super easy to track the energy production of each panel through the free app they give you. It is a nice way to make sure they are all operating correctly, and it is fun to see your meter running in reverse in the summer.The project takes a while to complete; mine took about 6 months from signing to have them installed and turned on. But you typically do not start paying for them until then anyway. Mine took a little longer than expected, but ReNu reimbursed me for the first two payments on them since they were not turned on yet.The instillation of the panels itself went very smoothly. I did run into some issues scheduling additional roofing work around my chimney, because it was apparently out of their expertise. However, they worked with me and eventually got it done. And they did give me a really good deal on it.Overall, I have no regrets about going with ReNu. If I find myself in the market to go solar in the future with another property, I would probably go with them again.

Tom Scott was the salesman that first came out and went over everything with me. He was very professional, and answered all questions I had (which of course I had a lot). He was a very good employee to get a first impression from for a company.Sean Toohey was the project manager over my project. Sean was very professional, and was always straight forward with answering any questions I had. Getting everything installed and online ended up taking about 8 months from the time I signed paperwork, but a lot of that time was waiting for a shipment of panels. We then ended up using smaller panels, and adding 4 extra to make up for the loss, which also added time to the project with having to get the new prints approved, and get everything inspected. Even though I kept pushing Sean on updates, he was quick to respond, and figure out where we were at with getting everything going.Installation team: The installation team was very good, and had everything installed in about 2 days. I don't remember the name of the guy in charge, but he was very friendly and explained everything thoroughly. All questions I had for the electrical team and installation team, they were able to answer without hesitation. They had a lot of team members working on site because of training up new employees, which is great to see in a growing renewable energy company.Overall, my experience with ReNu was very good. The only reason for not leaving 5 stars of course is the timing. I presumed the install would be a little shorter time frame, but everyone I talk to say that under a year from consultation to finish is really good. I know that there is not a lot you can do about shipping delays and things of that sort. But overall, the ReNu employees that I dealt with were very solid and knowledgeable.

She was very informative and now I have a good idea of what I need to do to move forward with an installation. Solar is important for the future and is a good way to save money over time. The process to get my solar installed was a long frustrating experience. But Autumn Gipe-Valentin helped me through the many twists and turns of the process. She is a true professional with a the patient demeanor and a voice of reassurance at every turn. She is the best kind of person to have in customer relations. The installation crew were very professional throughout the whole processes. The electrician explained everything he was doing and helped me down load the app that I needed to monitor my system. At the end of each day the electrician and panel installers cleaned up every scrap a material on the roof, on the ground and in the garage. The electrician even swept out part of the garage to make sure there wasn't any debris left behind from the electrical boxes he installed.
