Mike and his team recently finished our basement. As the first-timer dealing with contractors on a large scale project like this, we were very nervous. Now that the project is over, we think that it was a right decision to work with Mike. Their work quality and ethic were good. We are happy with the finishing touches and their going over the board in terms of different adjustments (e.g. adding extra lights and outlets in the storage areas, adjusting the schedule due to bathroom door replacement, etc). The crews were really nice. We greatly appreciate working with them.If I have to add any suggestion, I would encourage Mike to share his input to the homeowners on the design / layout choices more whenever possible. Obviously, homeowners would make the final calls, but the first-timers like us may not know a whole lot about many issues. We appreciated Mike's feedback on accent color exposure, shower stall choice.

I had a great experience with Goetz Contracting. They demoed my old decks with connecting stairs, replaced with Trex, and added a roof over the top deck. This was not an easy job as both decks overlook a steep hillside. Mike and his crew are honest, hardworking people. Mike did a great job keeping me informed throughout the project and was happy to answer all my questions around finishing details, etc. The finished product is gorgeous and all for a fair price. Goetz Contracting just finished our basement and we would highly recommend. Mike was able to get us our quote very quickly- the day after looking at our basement. He was the middle quote of the three we got but we felt good that he was very knowledgeable about all the different things that would need done. He ended up being able to get started sooner than anticipated and his crew worked full days full time until it was finished. His crew of guys were very nice, had great recommendations when needed, and cleaned up the area nicely every day . After seeing all the work that went into it we feel it was a very fair price. The finishes look perfect and they went above and beyond even touching up a few parts of our basement that were previously finished to make everything look new, and definitely paid attention to every detail. We are very satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

Job: Demo existing wood deck steps/rails and replace with TREX and reinforce existing deckWe were so glad to find Michael Goetz from Goetz Construction for our project. He walked us through the process and kept us in the loop every step of the way.The demo of the existing stairs went well and the new steps, railings, etc. are absolute perfection!!!Everything is very sturdy now and you can see they take pride in their work. We recently turned a wooden deck into a Trex Enhanced deck and just like that, improved the look, value and functionality of our home and outdoor space. Everyone knows, no maintenance vs staining every year is a no brainer BUT since our deck was finished, I can’t count how many times I’ve looked out at it – thinking how gorgeous it looks and “oh by the way, it’s always going to look like this”!!! The product we picked was extensively researched and compared to various levels of Trex as well as other top brands – they have all come a long way since composite hit the market back in the 90’s. We’re happy with Trex Enhanced, the warranty and most importantly the end result.Now, let me speak to the contractor and his entire crew. Like most people, we obtained three estimates for this project – two from well-known deck/fence companies and one from Goetz Contracting. Although we typically lean toward hiring small businesses for projects, finding the right one that you can trust with your project and your money can be a challenge. Michael Goetz was the third estimate we received but we had a good feeling about him immediately. We talked with him over the next few weeks, made the decision to go with Goetz Contracting and got on his calendar for October; he said the project would take about 2 weeks. The crew showed up October 3rd and the project took exactly 2 weeks and 2 days. They were here all day, every day and very serious about making our deck everything we wanted it to be. They are all knowledgeable, kind, respectful and extremely good at what they do, doing it all with such precision and accuracy and cleaning it all up at the end of each day. In the process, they removed and re-attached our umbrellas, all the plant hooks, carried our heavy tables off and back onto the deck, tweaked some things I changed my mind about, and did everything possible to make us happy. I cannot say enough about this company, the entire crew, and have forwarded their link to three friends/family – so far. If you need deck work, this is the company you want to hire. Our experience with Goetz Contracting was fantastic. The owner, Michael, quickly responded to my initial inquiry and then worked with us to design a new deck and select the materials. He gave us an estimate as to when the project would begin and then started the project on time. My basement room was unfinished and just used as a storage room. I started to frame it out for bathroom and game room years ago but never got too far along. Michael and his crew helped me iron out the room design and built the room into a nice "man cave" with big screen mounted TV, Wet Bar, new interior/exterior doors and half bath. Levi and Steve did a great job in making my ideas into reality. There was a lot of work that went into this and Goetz Contracting was certainly up for the challenge and they were very professional and really nice guys. I cannot speak highly enough about our experience working with Goetz Contracting. We found Goetz through some online searches, including Angie’s list. They were very highly rated and the photos of their work were great. We met with Michael Goetz and from the beginning he was nothing but courteous, respectful and honest. He gave us all the information we wanted and we never felt any pressure to do anything we were not comfortable with. The crew was very experienced and meticulous. They started earlier and completed our deck quicker than anticipated and it is just stunning. We extended the footprint from our previous deck and the steps and added lighting puts it way over the top. I may be biased but it’s the best looking deck in our neighborhood. Every step of the process Mike checked in with us to make sure we were satisfied. I can’t say enough how happy we are with the entire experience. The pictures just don’t even do it justice. Michael was incredibly great to work with and his team was very professional and excellent at what they do. Their attention to detail was impressive and they were not satisfied until I was satisfied. At one point, early in the project, Michael noticed the rough-ins for the half bath were not to code and he came on a Saturday by himself and spent most of the day reconfiguring the plumbing to make it work...and he did this without charging me an additional fee. My kids and I will enjoy this new space for many years. I will definitely be contacting Michael for future work on my house.

Can't say enough good things about the work that Goetz Contracting did on our basement finishing. We had a large and unusable space, but Mike came up with a great plan, some good recommendations, and ended up knocking it out of the park. Steve, Levi, Kevin and the crew were great, very courteous and we are very happy with the result. As with any large project, we ran into a few unexpected things, but they came up with solutions. Mike's estimate on time was spot on, and the cost estimate was as well (there was an increase from estimate, but we had a number of changes on plan after the initial bid, and we felt the cost changes were fair - and I should note that there was no pushback on our change requests).Mike was always very responsive, including with a few small follow-up items we found after the final walk-through and payment. I recommend Goetz Contracting, and plan to use them again for another project.UPDTATE- Mike held true to his word, since our new windows and doors were delayed (installed by the window company), Mike sent Levi over within a week to finish up the trim around the windows and doors. Remember, this was AFTER final payment, and he had the outstanding item done within a week. I should also note that the window installer commented how well done the finishing work on the basement was, that he rarely sees such quality work done in a basement. We've had many complements.

He custom built bench seating. The VEKA vinyl decking is solid, the color is perfect, and it cleans easily. Everyone who sees it remarks how beautiful the deck is. One of the more important things I wanted to see heading into my deck/patio project was a contractor willing to work a custom idea with me - within a budget - and with full transparency.Mike Goetz was extremely professional with us from day one, and always respectful of our property as much as our budget. Last fall, we began looking for a deck builder. We found Goetz Contracting, Inc on Angie’s List. After looking at their website, we contacted 4 deck builders. Michael Goetz was timely and responsive to all communication,and he was direct with what they could do and could not do.. From the reviews and pictures of their work, we decided to wait to have them build our deck and get on their list. Michael came out and spent the necessary time to listen to what we wanted and gave us some helpful recommendations as well. Last week, they came Tuesday AM and finished our 15’x20’ Trex deck on Friday afternoon. The crew was experienced and conscientious. Our deck looks amazing! It looks exactly what we intended it to be when we designed it. It is well made and is of high quality. The black wrought iron spindles, white Trex wrapping, and lighting put it over the top! At the end, Goetz Contracting, Inc wanted us to be 110% happy - they came back to do some very minor adjustments the very same day I called them. We really liked how the the black iron spindles looked and ask if they could change out the railing on the front porch. They said absolutely and had that replaced within the week! We are extremely happy with our experience with Goetz Contracting, Inc. We definitely would use them again!

Can't say enough great things about Goetz Contracting! My mother in law asked for my help in finding a contractor to finish her basement. I reached out to Michael Goetz in early February 2020 and he got right back to me and arrived promptly for our scheduled walk through. From the time he showed up we could tell he was different then the other contractors we had out to survey the job. Out of the 4 contractors we visited with he was the one my mother in law and I felt the most comfortable with. He was very professional. courteous and knowledgeable. We were very pleased with the quick turnaround on the proposal. We met with him on a Friday and he had two options we could consider on Sunday! We were pleased to find he was right in the ballpark of what we were expecting to pay; not the cheapest and not the most expensive. He also assured us he could get the job done very quickly and was able to fit us into his schedule for immediate start.The crew got the job fully completed within a month of starting the remodel including; framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing, flooring, painting and trim!As you can see form the pictures his crew does excellent work! Michael's brother Steve was the lead and was just as courteous and knowledgable as his brother Mike. They took great care to explain every situation to my mother in law and ensure things were being done to her liking. Being an older home there were a few challenges they had to work around with in terms of building out the bathroom and dealing with existing pipes and weird bulkheads but they handled the challenges with ease. My mother in law requested a glass shower door near the end of the project and Michael was very accommodating to the ask. He gave us a fair quote for the install and even agreed to purchase the door and pick it up for us at Home Depot and just tacked in on to the final amount due. As you can see in the picture, it looks amazing!So again, we couldn't be more happier with the results and highly recommend Goetz Contracting! I wish all contractors were as professional as Goetz Contracting is! They really are the complete package!
