A three night get away with my husband. We stayed at the Inn and the rooms were clean , comfortable and had a nice view. We really enjoyed our walk with Rick on the Lake trail he is very knowledgeable and we learned alot about the different plants. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained. We really enjoyed our cocktails in the Library each night . Les was a great bartender !!!

Everything about this was amazing! Food especially. My lodge was amazing along with the service! So much to do like fishing, hiking, arcade, tours, etc. I could go into so much more but I would spoil it. For sure get what you pay! Will be back.Rooms: Suites, your usual hotel rooms but better, and there are also cottages.Walkability: Tons of trails and guides, the property is over 5,000 acres big.

It has been over a year since our Skytop visit but the impeccable staff is more than committed to giving their guests the greatest experience possible, even from afar. A member of the management staff, Mr. Capobianco recently made what I’d consider a grand gesture or two to extend a simple memory that my husband and I shared at our Skytop visit. We are so grateful for the effort he put into making sure we were able to transport ourselves to their resort within our home. Incredible service no matter where you’re at.

This is the perfect little get away spot. Lots of activities, restraunts (food was amazing), and a golf course. The rooms were charming, clean, and nice overall. The grounds are well kept and allow for a lot of walking on trails and to the lake. The only little critique I have is this place should absolutely have a spa and doesnt... that's it though. I'd recommend to anyone.

Stayed for a long weekend in a cottage-very nice accommodations. Taking a guided nature walk with Rick was the highlight.Tubing was fun too!The ice skating rink was another story-apparently all the doors are broken so a very ugly atmosphere, snow shoes were potentially “dryrotted” as explained to us by the staff and they no longer offer cross country skies.Food at all the venues was wonderful.Customer service from the front desk to the Library is a concern. Concierge did not book reservation correctly. We got double charged for their mistake. Then given vouchers for free cocktails, but were double charged for them as well. Thought it was straightened out at checkout only to arrive home and find that billing had occurred. Of course, accounting did not answer the direct line. The staff is not well trained and there appears to be little leadership that provides oversight.

Stayed 2 nights between Christmas and New Year's. We have two teens and we're looking for a short getaway. Skytop Lodge was perfect. There was something for everyone. My son loved the hiking, other kid lived the axe throwing, husband loved The Library bar/lounge, and my favorite was clay shooting. Bingo, magicians, and the arcade were other big hits! First vacation in a long time that had something for everyone!

Beautiful location with many trails and things to do . I feel like this place is geared more for kids under 8. Rooms are quite , can’t hear anyone walk on top of you which is a plus . Many activities for young kids . My toddlers had a blast . I’m giving it 3 starts bc the service is so so slow . It took them 1 hr to get us pillows to the room. Food is basically the same in all 3 restaurant's that we tried, and it takes a long time for the food to come. They won’t let you check in early so don’t even bother . Place is kind of dirty , glass doors never cleaned , hand prints all over , it:s an older lodge so the rooms at the lodge look that way too. Aside from all that , the team at the tubing place work hard . Skiing is another story and review altogether , plan to wait get your gear for 1.5 hrs … for skiing family of 5 .

We stayed at Skytop as my husband and I were celebrating our 45 wedding Anniversary and my 65th Birthday .We stayed at the inn and were pleasantly greeted by Chris who took our luggage to our room, stoked a fire in the huge wood burning fire place outside our room.Chris was eager to share all this Beautiful place had to offer. He made us feel very welcome , he was always there when we came back from a hike and was eager to hear where we went and how we enjoyed it. He really went out of his way for us even coming by the day he was not working in our area to set up the coffee for us, that was really special. Rick was very pleasant informative guide on our hikes, you could tell he really loves what he does and the hikes were wonderful, we ventured off on our own a couple times as Rick had pointed out all the trails are well marked and Beautiful Waterfalls galore. The main lodge itself is just Grand, with a huge main fireplace and a fireplace in the Library bar, which by the way is very relaxing cozy bar, there is also a fireplace in the card room and even one in the very large Game Room. The Rocking chairs over looking the Beautiful Grounds were great to sit on and rock on a sunny afternoon. We had the Bed and Breakfast package a buffet on the weekend and nice ala carte during the week, we also enjoyed the Lakeside dining room the food and the staff were excellent, also a wonderful view of camel back lit up, as well as the walking bridge over the lake and falls. Nice entertainment on Saturday night! All in all we had a Wonderful Time. A few of my friends from work are making reservations after seeing my pictures and descriptions of the place, there is also a huge golf course.Only one thing we were disappointed that our celebrations were not recognized even though they were in our reservation, but it will not stop us from going back in the summer with our children and grandchildren.Rooms: We stayed at the inn and had a King room with a fireplace and balcony with rocking chairs over looking the lake, which even though it was February we enjoyed rocking in the sunshine! Very clean and comfortable.Nearby activities: The place has plenty to do, we enjoyed the many hiking trails to waterfalls, Campbell look out, we could see for ever up there and we hiked 1.8 miles around a beautiful lake and even went snow tubing which was a lot of fun the kids working the tubing were very friendly and helpful.Walkability: They have shuttles that will take you anywhere on the property, but we walked everywhere its just so beautiful with rolling rivers, lakes and streams we really enjoyed walking and burning off some of the calories from the delish food.

We have yet to stay here, but we like to pop in for a cocktail and enjoy this amazing, beautiful building. The architecture and the materials found inside, the beautiful woodwork and real wood burning fireplaces are so cozy and inviting. I hope to one day spend the night! We both ordered hot toddies at the bar, and they were quite delicious!Food & drinks: We both had hot toddies, and they were fabulous!

Very beautiful place but also very underwhelming. I made all of my reservations ahead of time as you are supposed to, only to find out after we rushed to be there at noon, they had no record of our treetop adventure course reservation. we drove 2 and a half hours to be told they’d take us out to zip line for 45 mins versus a 2 hr treetop adventure. when checking in I mentioned the mishap to the person at the front desk and they didn’t seem to care at all. the tubing hill is a joke, definitely meant for small children. one of the instructors attempted to use himself to stop me at full speed, causing him to fall on top of me and bruise my legs. we had lunch at the taproom and everyone in there didn’t seem to know anything about the drinks or the menu. dinner at the windsor is a whole entirely different review of its own. i’d say the best part of the whole trip was the library lounge because it’s just about the only thing that was open past 9pm and had a very kind, knowledgeable bartender, tom. in all I’d say it’s a good place for children 8 and under, not for adults looking for a romantic getaway.

Big Mistake! Could have stayed at camelback and enjoyed everything with my four boys. Single mom trying to treat her son to a weekend with friends and I should have just stayed at camelback. Their tubing site is lame: it’s not even as big as my back yard. Literally good for toddlers only!!! My ten and 11 year olds cried when they saw the tubing hill (not tears of happiness.) Had to spend $500 taking four kids tubing at camelback as a plan B. When I informed them that I could not go on our planned treetop adventure course the next day (one because of the tubing expense,) and two because my one other adult could not come up for the day because he got called in to work, they refused to allow me to cancel. The concierges talked to me very rudely that I found devastating. They were just mean and told me that was my problem and said they were charging me anyway. Their pool was ok but completely blinded my kids with the insane amount of chlorine. It’s hard to eat at the hotel if you are in a chalet. You need reservations to get food which makes it extremely difficult. All I can say is NEVER AGAIN and I’m the type of person who doesn’t even send food back at a restaurant. I do indeed understand they are running a business but to charge me $330 for an activity that we cant do is shameful on them. Their website makes the place look so magical and wonderful: I’ve been all over this globe and all I can say is cudos to their marketing firm.Food & drinks: Overpriced because they can.

This review is very belated. My boys and I went for our summer vacation after my husband passed. Skytop vacations had be a family tradition for Larry growing up and for our family as well. It was an easy and safe place for me to take the boys.I was extremely disappointed in our visit. First, red wine was spilt on my son ruining his brand new dress shirt. The server was classy and managed the situation well. The front of the office not so well. I was given salt and told to soak the shirt in the tub. Skytop would not pay for dry-cleaning.I was further let down when my son was told to remove his baseball cap at breakfast. Is there really a dress code then? People are in their PJs, gym wear, and hats including grown men . What was the prejudice? Why were they focused on my son?If my husband had been there, would service have been the same? I doubt it. I wrote to Skytop when this happened and received no response. I was completely dismissed. I am SO disappointed in Skytop. This was such a place of joy for our family. Skytop ruined what was a time honored family tradition.Skytoo c try op

Very beautiful hotel in the Pocono. Very kind and friendly staff. Very nice and warm Christmas decorations. Want to give a special shoutout to their security office. I left my wallet and didn't realize until two days after checking out of the hotel. I called the hotel, and their security guard was so kind and mailed my wallet back free of charge. Thank you!

I have been coming to Skytop since I was a kid. We used to come for family vacations both in the summer and winter months. I have great memories of Skytop. This week I treated my husband (who has never been here) to a birthday get away after hearing me talk about this place for years. We both had a relaxing and lovely time. . . and were able to unplug for a few days doing both indoor and outdoor activities. The food at the Lakeview and Windsor restaurants was excellent. We will be back in a warmer weather when golf is available as well as other activities.I don't know how Skytop has managed to keep its old world charm . . but I hope they never lose it. This place is a true classic.

I went to Skytop with a friend in mid November, before Thanksgiving, for a short getaway. We did the Treetop Adventure which was really fun. We were in a group of 12 people, which I think might have been too many for one group because there was quite a bit of waiting time (for people to finish the course). But our instructor, Francis, was good. We also did the 20 minute tour in the wagon, and hiked Mt. Wismer. It was a sunny day so the views were good. We ate at both Windsor snd Lakeview restaurants. The food and service was good. We also had some fish soup at The Market cafe, which tasted delicious but there was no fish in either of our bowls, only vegetables. We had the added bonus of watching a wedding take place the same weekend. Our room was one of the ones with a king bed and a pullout couch. It was a little cold at night, and there were no blankets in the room, just a light bedcover. When I asked for a blanket, I got another bedcover. But the service was excellent otherwise.

Review is for Library Lounge. Superb drinks & atmosphere. Ask Les for a “Smoky Daiquiri” - smoke comes from the Mezcal & Laphroaig. It’s a good one

Excellent place to stay! They run specials for all holidays throughout the year. Beautiful historic lodge and grounds. You can enjoy a great vacation there with plenty of activities to do for adults and family's with children. They have an outdoor, indoor pool, gym, kids activities, and arcades. Various restaurants on the grounds. Golf course and sports activities from skiing to fishing, etc.Rooms: Very clean, good size with great views.Safety: Very safe!Walkability: Everything is on the grounds.Food & drinks: They have two excellent 5 start restaurants. Also, a cocktail lounge, library rooms with fireplaces.Noteworthy details: You won't be disappointed at this place. We stay there for weekends at least four times a year.

Arrived here yesterday! And my wife and I absolutely love it!!! All the stuffs we’ve met are amazing and super friendly! The room is on the smaller side but it has everything we will need during our time here! Super excited for our next few days here. Definitely recommend it! (Also, saw some reviews about workers here being racist against Asians which is absolutely not true) everyone here has been nothing but helpful and friendly towards me!
