JB Cote did a fantastic job replacing our old deck with a new maintenance-free composite screened porch, as well as fixing our pool patio with a new retaining wall. This is the second project they have done for us, and they are always professional, courteous, and efficient. It is obvious they take pride in their work! Highly recommend them!

If you want a quick easy review, this isn’t for you. It will long winded but thorough. It has taken my husband and I over 3 months to write this review because we want to give JB Cote Construction the accolades it deserves.We’ve searched for someone to renovate our home for over a year and couldn’t find the right person, until we met JB Cote Construction. We initially met Brian, Mike, and Paulo to help us take our wants and wishful ideas, and created a plan that was beyond our expectations. They gave us detailed plans and realistic timelines. They were with us every step of the of way and never left us in a lurch. When we ran into an issue with our plumbing, they IMMEDIATELY took care of it and made sure to prevent future issues. Our house being what it is ran into issues, JB Cote took it in stride and made sure we were safe and resolved them.JB Cote bent over backwards to make sure our kitchen was everything we've ever wanted, and patient with us when we had a hard time making certain decisions. They guided us on sharing what they know from their areas of expertise and respected our final decisions.Our house finally feels like a home, it looks and feels like night and day. They made many positive changes to our home and made it feel bigger by taking a wall down, relocating stairs off to the side, rearranging the appliances, adding an island, and giving us a closet.You may never find a more friendly, patient, respectful, polite, and professional crew, they’re simply amazing.Our only regret is that we didn’t meet them sooner. Thank you everyone at JB Cote Construction and the other companies they’re affiliated with (Novo Design Build LLC for our cabinets with Paulo, Stonetek Imports Inc for our countertops, and Dynamic Electric LLC for our electrical work).

I have had J B Cote Construction do many projects on my home. I have had a bathroom, flooring, decks, siding and other projects completed. I am always very happy with the work. They are very neat and timely. But most of all their work is beautiful, like something from a home improvement magazine. Very professional.

JB Cote Construction are professional contractors that take pride in their work and continue to work until fruition. We had a total renovation of our second floor including a new set of stairs. Once started, they were on premises every day and the project was completed in a timely fashion. Everyone from the office staff to the people on site were pleasant and knowledgable to work with. I would hire them again.

To be short and sweet: If you are fed up with the toxicity of dealing with most contractors, JB Cote are the people for you. Their estimate might give you some sticker shock, but you get what you pay for, and they are worth the money. A lot of that higher price comes from a full-time office staff that facilitates clear and timely communication and from the fact that they default to higher-quality materials (that would be an upcharge with most other contractors). If you really care about your project, they are the right choice.

Amazing transformation of our powder room. Who would think that such a small room could become such a statement piece in our house. During the remodel, they found issues from the original construction which they corrected. Excellent work and serious dedication by their crews. The day after a major snow storm, they were back and digging out their work area to keep going on a deck they were building for us. Communication is excellent and--most importantly--there are no "oh, by the way" situations where all of a sudden there's a thing that jacks the price way up after work has already begun. Anyone who has worked with a disreputable contractor will know what I'm talking about. None of that took place with JB Cote. We got exactly what was agreed upon and we plan to use them again for our next major project. The price is a wee bit high compared to some of the other quotes we got, but we definitely got what we paid for and are very happy with the quality and speed of the work. They also threw in a re-roofing of one of our sheds to sweeten the deal which was much appreciated. That roof was leaking like crazy after it had already been replaced by a different contractor who shall remain nameless here, so it was great to finally have that taken care of as well.

JB Cote went above and beyond -- including dealing with some mistakes on our part professionally and courteously. I detail the entire experience in more detail below.JB Cote Construction’s crew was great and very professional. We appreciated the care and respect shown to our home as well as their expertise. After our contract was drawn up, we realized there were a few items that were not on the list and they accommodated us where they could which was awesome. We also supplied the crew with an incorrect mirror, and it wasn’t until after installation we realized it was the wrong size. Feeling embarrassed I let them know and they happily took it down and boxed it back up for us with no issue. Another mirror we supplied was broken before they arrived, whoops. The crew showed no signs of frustration with my ineptitude. I cannot stress how pleasant and professional they were.When we realized one door opened the opposite way we would have liked, JB Cote sent someone over to adjust it very promptly. We were very happy with how they wanted everything to be right. There was a bit of confusion regarding the contract, and it's something I needed to pay more attention to, but it did not impact our view that this is a 5 star company.JB Cote has been the best construction company we’ve worked with since moving to Rhode Island. We were quite happy with the quality, professionalism, and responsiveness with communications. We plan to work with them in the future with further housing projects.

From start to finish we had a great experience with Brian and John. The whole team with top notch, talent, experienced and great to work with! Along the way we made a few changes to the plan and Brian was ever accommodated! The team was here on time and yes they worked rain or shine even in the snow! Brian and his team have done an addition of an in-law apartment and several smaller projects for us. I have nothing but good things to say about them. We have just finished our construction project of tearing down an existing kitchen and bathroom and adding a new one in place. JB Cote has been wonderful to work with, explaining everything every step of the way. Starting with the quote process and all the way to the final inspections. They even created a temporary kitchen for us to use during the construction so it really has not been a disruption to our life. They tidy up at the end of each day, are professional, clean, smart and flexible. I can't say enough good things about working with this great company and the wonderful team they have put together. I highly recommend them.

Called and left a message Monday and did not get a call back. Called again on Wednesday and was told there was a fee of over $100 just to get an estimate for the work. One of their reasons being that customers wouldn't return their calls. Found the reasoning ironic... needless to say I was happy to call other contractors that don't charge to look at a job and potentially earn a new costumer.

Very professional team. J.B. Cote did exactly what they said they would do and when they said they would do it. They recently redid our garage, including the floor and it looks outstanding. Completely trust their work, the owners and their employees. They have done major renovations for us over the last few years, including kitchens, bathrooms, floors windows etc., and everything they have done has been impeccable. We would not want to work with anyone else!!

Very pleasant gentlemen with wonderful employees. Started on the day he said he would, very quick response for estimate. So neat i was shocked i had walls removed. The put drop cloths through the area and vacuumed everything each time they left. The job was done beautifully. Would highly recommend
