I had a motorized retractable awning installed over my south facing deck. My deck was terribly hot without the awning and is now tolerable in high heat. My salesman, Kerry was outstanding. When I recently thought I had a mechanical problem, he as well as the company team were quick to help. Fortunately the issue was simple and I did not need a technical call. Gutter Helmet is the best. Too bad I did not get my gutter guards with them also. Thank you for your great work Carolina Gutter Helmet and More.

My review is not based on work but on Bruce Fine. He showed up to my home and did a very thorough job giving me my estimate. He took pictures, went through what was going to be done to my roof, and even showed me samples of all products used and what they were for. I greatly appreciated the time he took to do this and how respectful and professional he was. Not many people take them time to do that. They have high quality product. My father was a roofer so I know a bit about that subject. I have not gone with this company based solely on current personal situations but would highly recommend this company to others. Every other roofing company (about 15), was at my house for ten minutes. Gave me a sheet of paper with the quote and work to be performed and left. Thank you Mr. Fine for being thorough and personable.

Carolina Gutter Helmet installed my gutter helmet after I got tired of paying someone to clean the back gutters three times a year. I love the product. Then, we had the hail storm in March 2017. My entire Gutter Helmet needed to be replaced after the hail storm. Robbie scheduled this rather large job in a reasonable amount of time. During the job, the crew and I discussed a possible problematic place. After an especially heavy rain storm, and a video I sent, they returned within two weeks, and re-did that area in a way that should handle many heavy storms. The crew was clean and pleasant. Comfortable to have working around the house. I recommend the product, and the company.

I had a Sunsetter awning installed. From the beginning it did not work correctly. I personally think it was defective. I called repeatedly with little to no response. The awning is rolled up on the side of the house. If i manually extend the awning it immediately retracts. I pleaded for a refund. The owner became vitriolic and refused. When I look at the awning, my stomach gets in knots - and yes, I've called about it still again with no response.

I really appreciated the help they gave with my roofing contractor. It’s important that you do not let a roofing contractor just remove your Gutter Helmet because it will void warranty’s. Unfortunately, our experience with Gutter Helmet/EcoView Windows was very disappointing. We selected them based on testimonials from two neighbors and their pricing was very fair. However, once we signed our contract, communication became extremely challenging with the firm and the installation job was very unsatisfactory. The job was supposed to commence approximately 8 weeks after contract signing. The time passed during which it was almost impossible to get in touch with the salesman - a problem also experienced by our neighbors. When the installation day finally came, approximately 14 weeks after contract signing, all 20 windows were installed in one day for which we were grateful. Sadly, in the light of the next day, it was obvious that fully 75% of the windows had manufacturing issues; there were visible smears of window sealant on most of the windows, a small number of which were between the panes of glass. The company did respond to the issue promptly and two workers spent a day cleaning up what they could, however four sashes needed replacement. After many weeks waiting for the replacements and again being unable to contact the salesman, we sought help from the Better Business Bureau. Eventually, four replacements were delivered, one of which was sized improperly. Since the defect was small in the window for which the wrong replacement was sent, we decided to leave things as they are and end the sad and disappointing saga of working with Gutter Helmet / Eco View. Our opinion is that the company may have grown too fast and lost control of its quality control and virtually abandoned any real attempt at post contractual communication. Sadly, as with many smaller high quality companies, failure to manage their growth makes us unable to recommend them to others.

Jimmy was a fantastic tech who performed our estimate for an awning. He was able to answer all of our questions thoroughly and honestly. When we reached the conclusion that the type of awning he was there to estimate would not suit our needs, Jimmy was understanding and did not try to continue the sales pitch or talk us into it at all. The integrity of this company and of Jimmy is super refreshing!

We have been a little short of rain on the Asheville area, but there has been enough for me to be able to say that the product works as advertised and that so far I am pleased with the installation.

I'm normally big on reading reviews before I purchase anything. Unfortunately, I didn't read any before hiring gutter helmet for a new roof. Im seriously regretting that decision. My roof is hills and valleys and I've gotten nothing but lie after lie from them. Then they accused the roofer, who they contract to do the job, of being the dishonest one. Now, it's my houses fault that the roof looks as bad as it does. Those words were actually spoken...I kid you not. Please please DO NOT hire this company for ANYTHING. As I write this review, the roofer is "repairing" it now. The hills and valleys I had after the initial install looked so much better. There are so many good roofers out there, save yourself the headache and call one of them. I'm going to have to myself.

This I guess would be a mixed review. They replaced my gutters and roof. Gutter and gutter helmet was about $4,000. Roof about $8,000. I am very happy with the gutter and gutter helmet. The roof when I went up on it afterwards, looked very good with 4 vents installed. What I am unhappy about is the response when I asked about warranty info. one of the guys said it was warrantied for 20 years. I did find out that the shingles were warrantied for 30 years but I was wondering about the wood under the shingles since when they were replacing the roof, it looked like particle board. one of the people from the office said on the phone that the warranty for the wood under the roof was 30 years but I have tried for a number of times to get that in writing and have failed to do so. (I also think one of the people working on the roof stole a digital camera I had but I cannot prove that). Due to the lack of response on warranty information, I would not recommend Gutter helmet for Roof work. I like the Gutter and Gutter helmet. I do not know about how they compare with "LeafGuard" since I did not contact "Leafguard" because I did not know about them before I had the Gutter Helmet work done. Gutter Helmet did remove an old tall antanae I had and I am happy about that.

I highly recommend using this company for any repair of old gutters or installing a new gutter system where the house had no gutters. Very pleased with North Carolina job October 2020!

Save yourself a lot of trouble and go somewhere else. Absolutely the worst work I have ever seen. They said they didn’t use contractors which I asked right away and was assured they didn’t. Lie #1. Windows took forever to come in. Poorly installed. Had siding, new roof and windows replaced. Had 4 or 5 different crews show up over time. One asked to borrow gas money or that he wouldn’t be able to come back the next day. Had to eventually pull the plug after one guy cursed my wife while she was talking to our salesman Jim Biniecki calling her the b word and saying f you to her over and over. Had to have Spartanburg County Sheriffs Deputy involved in that. Roofing crew, another contractor, poorly installed our new architectural shingled roof, and installed 3 vents, one of them still isn’t cut in, just placed it on top of wood and shingled around it, changed side vents but didn’t remove old ones just slapped new ones over them. Had a state inspector come out and do a complete inspection on all the work that was completed, also got a written report. Numerous nails stomped into the shingles and that the roof wouldn’t even pass inspection in its current state. Also had a general contractor come out and give us a quote on finishing and fixing the rest of it. He said that we would just about have to start over. Nice. I just hope I can save someone the trouble of having to deal with the nightmare that we have dealt with. This company is a joke...and that’s putting it nicely.

Had no leaks in 20 year old roof. Spent $12,000 for new roof. After installation, had 6 leaks in same area around fireplace. They sent person out first time , and he got rid of 5 leaks. Still had 1 leak. Called Gutter Helmet , and they sent another person out on remaining leak. Did not fix leak. They have sent people out two more times, and I still have the same leak. Talked to Robbie Hutcherson, owner, but still have leak. Will get another roofing company to fix.The company that did the roof was Ecoview Windows in Greer SC. Looked on the Ecoview Windows web site, and there is no mention ofroofing installation. WILL NOT RECOMMEND !

Let's start by saying this place was a DISASTER for us; I would give them 0 stars but unfortunately that's not an option. EcoView Windows in this area is also knows as Carolina Gutter Helmet by the way, hence why the review here... We had them come out to measure and quote a large picture window to replace 3 normal windows overlooking the backyard from the living room. After cancelling the appointment once, they sent the manager out. Great salesman, measured everything needed, said they were the only ones who could do it, no one else could. Follow that with a 45 minute presentation of how great their product is, better than anyone else's, and so forth. We were sold! He mentioned it would be an 8 week lead time to make the window and they would call us a week ahead to schedule the installation - great! We paid half as a deposit and on we went to wait. 8 weeks passed and no phone call, so my wife called them. After several calls, since no one ever seems to pick up the phone, she got a call back. "The window would be in next week's truck, we'll call you early next week to schedule the installation". GREAT! We were all excited as we had been waiting for this window for over 2 months now. Next week came and no call, so mid week I called them. Someone answered and said they would call me right back with an update. A couple of hours later I get a call from the manager who came out and quoted the window. "We just heard that the window is too big and we won't be able to make it, no one can, but we can do it in two pieces, which normally would cost us more, but we are willing to do it for the same price!". Oh how wonderful, such nice people! What a complete joke of a company. First of all, was anyone planning on calling me to tell me this, or were they just waiting on me to call? Obviously they knew. It is not the fact that it cannot be done, but the fact that they waited over 2 months to tell me, while keeping my money of course. So basically they put an order in and NO ONE looks at it for 2 months, then they realize they can't make it and they don't even tell the customer until we frantically call for updates. Truly a disappointing experience and a joke of a company. Now we have to go with someone else and wait another 8 weeks wasting basically most of the summer, which is the reason we originally scheduled this early. Oh and by the way, other companies CAN make the window that size. They wasted 10 weeks of our time. Thanks a lot for the great service! Stay away if you can, much better options out there.

RESPONSE TO OWNER: Saying you set a high standard for yourself does not make it true. Actions speak louder and your refusal to stand behind your work shouts POOR ETHICS. Very expensive gutters backed by a company that walks away from their mistakes. Bought a house with Gutter Helmet installed by prior owner. There were several areas where the gutter system was not installed correctly and this was causing water damage to the house. Representative came out and wrote up a contract to make repairs at my expense and wanted 50% up front. When I pressed for a time frame for the job to be done he said they were passing on my project. What kind of company does bad work and then won't do the repairs? If you buy gutter helmet you are locked into using Carolina Gutter Helmet and that is not a good place to be.
