Not good. Worse install I have ever seen… I trusted them, paid them, and well.. this is what I got. Fireplace brick was installed sloppy and not level. Chimney cap has screws on the top metal portion and is sloped inward. Holds water. Also, has a seen in it and it is the wrong color. Been trying to get them out to fix. First, Matt (supervisor) told me he lost all his good technicians. Now he won’t answer. Called the office several times and left messages. No return call. Was waiting to write the review to give TN Fireplace a chance to fix as they stated they would. But, since I cant get ahold of them, here is the review. I will be pursing other options… TN Chimney - rookie installation company.Update- 9-10-23They know who I am. They know they botched this install. Josh is the owner and he called me (and played stupid) the same day he wrote the Google response below mine. I added an interesting email conversation that shows (1) that they know who I am and (2) they can’t hold qualified techs within their company. STEER CLEAR of this company!

The sales rep seemed knowledgeable and helpful. Quick to answer all my questions however install has been nothing short of a nightmare. The sales rep is no longer there. The job still isn't finished 5 months later and I have a crooked chimney after they came out and "fixed" it twice. Photos are after being “fixed” at different times and my unfinished fireplace. They continue to tell me nothing is wrong with it. When the service guys came out to finish the install they said they didn't know anything about finishing the install and the parts we had (which they had provided) they insisted were not correct. I have been trying to get my chimney fixed and fireplace finished with multiple phone calls. I filed a case with the BBB which they didn't respond to. You are lucky if you can get a call back.

I had the fireplace serviced in October. I was out of the house, but my girlfriend was here. She spoke with the technician and got just a vague idea of what the issue was. Tech told her he would email the report/findings. After a couple of weeks had gone by and I hadn't heard from them, I gave them a call. The woman who answers says they don't do reports. They don't email findings or anything of the sort. I explained that the technician had explained he would, and I gave her his name. She'll talk to the tech and let him know that we still need a report.I never got a report or found out what they said the issue was. Now, it's just a full voice mail, nobody answers or returns calls. You can't go to the business. It's gated with signs for no public access. Had a different company over this week. Apparently, this place didn't even clean my chimney like they were supposed to while doing the inspection/service.

Hey everyone, if you want to spend $$$$ and not get the work or warranty fix, please contact Tn Fireplace and Chimney. They do 1 thing right. They know how to take money. My wife talked with them 3 weeks ago went into the office and they set an appointment. They no showed us. Never called until hours after, and rescheduled. They no showed us again without the common courtesy to call. Then they called and said because of our reviews of the NOT AWESOME SERVICE, they thought they were not welcome. Come on, you are selling a service that you have no business doing, because you cannot fix problems. We have a waterfall in our fireplace with videos to prove it. And they still won’t come to HONOR their warranty. We our contacting our Attorney to start the process to sue. If anyone wants to join in on a Class Action lawsuit let us know. We have 3 months left of the 1 year warranty. They keep delaying so they no longer have to fix their incompetent work. The business is so bad, they hardly have employees left. I delayed writing this because they did give us a small discount and made attempts to correct the work, but looking at it a year later I’m still unsatisfied.After going back and forth with them for months to have the work completed and then fixed, I will still need to pay someone again to repair their work. The exterior work sloppy. It is still receiving water damage despite promises to resolve the issue. I won’t go into all of it but the photos speak for themselves.Overall they were fairly expensive and the quality of the work was disappointing.

The only review I can share is DO NOT use this company! Our chimney was leaking and we contracted them to fix it last June 2023. They had to come out 3 separate times to finished and fix what they screwed up. The chimney STILL leaks! They will not return calls, no one at this company will. Last week we went to the company, they wouldn’t open the door until I walked around back of the facility and then they finally are outside. They promised to show up this week to fix the chimney. They no showed, will not answer calls, return calls, just radio silence. They do not honor warranty work. We’re out 5G and still have a leaking chimney!

We liked TN Fireplace generally and have been pleased with their services. However, I recently called them to get a fix for the interior of my fireplace wall that was cracked (which I am happy to pay for), but I told them that it was one of their inspectors that actually put that crack there. Since they had done the inspection, I didn’t pay any attention to the hairline crack that I noticed after they left. But I used the fireplace twice this year and the crack grew to a gouge. So I called them for a quote to tell them. They blocked my number. I guess they thought I wanted them to pay for it.

Your experts were on time, very knowledgeable offered suggestions and yearly maintenance, as well as suggestion to replace my smoke shield. They took their time into my surprise, left no evidence that they were there at all! They were courteous and informative. I would definitely recommend you to my friends and family. Had a unit installed by them 3 years ago that had a lifetime warranty. the service and install was great back then, but I have been trying to get a hold of them since June to schedule an inspection. The inspection is required every year for the warranty to stand on my unit. They used to call each year to schedule the inspection, and this year I had to reach out to them (mind you, this isn't a free inspection. I pay over $250 each year for it). Since June I have called and left countless voicemails, none of which have been returned. I was able to get a hold of a person 1 time back in June, but was told that they were booked up and I would need to call back in a couple weeks. Since then I have not been able to speak to anyone at the company directly. Seems like the company has changed since last time I did business with them. Not sure if they are even still in business since I can't get a hold of anyone whatsoever. If they are still operating and you are able to somehow get in touch with them to schedule any kind of job, I would not recommend doing business with them at this point. It looks like my warranty is going to void on the fireplace unit that I purchased from them for several thousands of dollars all due to the fact that I have been unable to get in touch with anyone regarding the required annual inspection. I never write bad reviews because things usually get resolved and work themselves out, but at this point I feel it is necessary to inform anyone that may be considering spending their hard earned money with a company that obviously doesn't care about its customers anymore.

TN Fireplace and Chimney came highly recommended to us. Contacted company and they sent out a sales rep. There was an initial cost and they came out and did an inspection of our chimney and cleaned it. Was impressed so I scheduled a repair of our chimney siding and chase cover. Company required half the money up front to commit to the job and buy materials.Their sales rep said the company would paint the siding after the siding replacement and had optional powder coated chase cover versus a painted chase cover. He also said they would contact us to work out the necessary materials and what shingles we use for our roof, etc.When contacting the company later to schedule the job and put the money down, found out they do not paint (customers are required to handle this themselves) and they do not do any optional powder coating of their chase covers as I was told by their sales rep. We had to schedule the job two months in advance due to them being committed to other jobs. They also never contacted us to work out what materials was required for the job and matched our roof.The day of the job, two people showed up without any materials at all. Then they went to Home Depot to buy the wrong materials and told us the shingles we use are no longer available. Yes they are. They're still for sale at Home Depot. They'd have known what to buy if they had contacted us to find out what we used on our roof. We have all the information. After buying the wrong materials, their office contacted us, made false accusations against us, claimed performing the repair would void our roof warranty, pulled out of the job completely and refunded the money to me. Most roofs have an existing warranty. How are they in business if they can't work with chimneys on roofs with warranties?Very disappointed. No communication, unprofessional, unprepared, and they will make stuff up when they don't want to do the work after stringing you along. And seems they also will not work on anything on the roof if the roof has a warranty. Train your office staff better and treat your customers better. Waste of two months that we could have hired another company that was actually interested in making money and doing the work. Will be avoiding this company in the future.Edit:In response to what you have put below, you are incorrect. Your crew of two people and no foreman arrived not knowing what shingles they were supposed to have bought and bought the wrong ones. Your company never worked with us on what materials to buy prior to the job date (we were told you would). We didn't hear from your company in the whole two months we were waiting. Additionally, our roof is one year old. We had a full roof replacement last year and the shingles are still available to purchase at Home Depot. We told you this while arranging the job. Again, your company did not follow through prior to the job and arrived unprepared, then backed out of the job completely the day the work was to be completed after we waited two months for you to come out.

This company is a blessing!You make an appointment for them to come into your home and they give you a brochure to pick out what you desire in a wood stove or fireplace.We had 2 super respectful gentlemen come and help us with our stove and were up front with the amount. We were able to use financing so we can afford our beautiful stove.It took about 3 weeks to install our stove and 2 other very respectful and hard working men perfectly installed our stove and cleaned up after themselves inside and out where their truck was that you wouldn't even know they were here.Our stove works BEAUTIFULLY and we are so grateful to have a stove we can use for a lifetime to come.This is the place you want to go for the best of the best.

I planned ahead and set an appointment to have my fireplace checked out at the end of July. They seemed very nice and knowledgeable.THEN two days prior to my appointment they canceled with no reschedule time. They couldn't reschedule due to their calendars.Unprofessional in the process. I guess I'm happy they did as this is not the type of people I want to relay on for my safety if they can't even get scheduling right.

I have had another chimney sweep company "clean" ours for the past 20 years or so. When I called them this summer, they didn't respond promptly so I called TN Fireplace and Chimney. This time time the news was eye opening as we found out how dangerous our situation was. To make this story short, I was blown away with just how professional these guys are.Their attention to detail and communication is unparalleled. Tyler is a rock star and was one of the most courteous professionals we've ever had visit our property in the 35 years we've been here. Overall, top notch. What great service. Josh and Jacob were thoroughly professional in all aspects as they repaired, cleaned and added a new damper to our 1938 fireplace. They basically rebuilt the interior of the fireplace which was needed for safety reason while other companies just ignored the problem which was quite difficult to fix. The picture attached is Josh actually standing up inside firebox to fix it right. Having lived in this house for 37 years they were by far the BEST SERVICE we have ever hired.

Really enjoyed working with this company. Office staff are very clear and easy to deal with. The installers were on time and super sweet gentlemen. They also did a really great job at making sure the floors were protected and clean up was perfect. There explanation of how the new gas fireplace equipment worked was really appreciated. I paid TN Fireplace and Chimney $4000 to re-line my chimney several years ago. Since then I have paid them several hundred dollars per year to inspect and clean my chimney. The last two years, they just took a picture of the top of my chimney from a ladder that doesn't quite reach the top. They did run a camera up the chimney but they did not look down from the top.This year, I called multiple times for an inspection and only got their voicemail. I finally reached out via their website "contact us page" to see if I could get a response that way.My comment from their contact us page is below:I've been trying to reach you for 2 weeks to schedule my annual inspection. Every time I get your voicemail but I haven't received a call back. Can you please call me at xxx.xxx.xxxx?And their response:So sorry Darrel, we do routine maintenance April through August and are currently not going outside of Knox county. This is related to busy season and staffing. Sorry for any inconvenience.So this is the first time I've received a response and they never in the past made me aware that they do not do inspections after August. And note that I only live 10 minute outside of Knox County. They have never had any issues with my location before.Further comments. Are below:From me:Please call me to discuss. I've paid you thousands of dollars to line my chimney. You have never notified me that I would not be supported.Response from TN F&CI am not sure why you are arguing with me when I have been nothing but kind to you. I cannot change our staffing nor can I change our scheduling. There is nothing on the completed jobs that gives us an exclusive responsibility of any sort to service your chimney. While we do regret if you find another company to service you, we understand the timing problem for you. As we do every summer, we call customers with a courtesy reminder of annual service. We did that in June for you x 2 but your vm was full. We have always operated this way and do appreciate your business but cannot debate issues beyond our control.Note that my VM is never full. I did receive one VM from them earlier this year to schedule the inspection. Unfortunately I did not call them back immediately. I use my VM for my business. So to say it was full is an error.I'm hoping that someone from their management sees this review. The response I received this time is not reflective of my past experience with this company.

I really dislike posting negative reviews about a business. However, the way this business has ignored me and my husband for weeks is ridiculous. Each of us has called at least twice a week since our inspection on August 16th. The company did come out and do the inspection. However we were promised when they left that they would send us a report detailing the inspection and whether we could use the fireplace. They have NOT sent us this report and it is now over a month later. They have not responded to our numerous phone calls trying to remedy the situation. Posting this negative review is our last resort. They never answer the phone or return or voicemails. At this point we would not trust this company to do any work on our fireplace.

5 STARS!!! I I absolutely love our new gas insert. Great servicemen, great team. Was on time, courteous, helpful! Could not ask for any better service! When the tech came originally & inspected what we had, they could fix it, but it was cheap, old, and worn out. It was all shown and explained to me, he wasn't just trying to sell me on something new. Crew was very courteous. On time. Worked diligently. Very informative. Took extra care for my new floors during stove install. Very good communication with everyone involved from the initial call ,inspection, office personnel the ladies in the office. Everyone was great. Crew did excellent clean up job. No complaints. Can't wait to try out our new stove this fall and winter ! So far very impressed. Will review again later this year when I begin using my stove . Thankful to now have a source of backup heat. Gas fireplace service. I was left with a large pilot light flame putting out heat in summer. All I got was excuses when service man called back. I called another company who offered to come fix the problem for free. Which is what TN Chimney should have offered to do instead of being Very unprofessional!!!Do not use this company!!Fireplace was off and the technician stated it was because there was a broken wire. Our experience with TN Fireplace and Chimney was a great experience. Had some concern about using our wood burning fireplace stove/chimney as weather turned colder (older home) and had them come out to inspect/clean. Did have some damage and replacement was covered by homeowners insurance and they helped with that process. TFC did what they said they would, at the price they said they would do it for, and when they said they would do it. We had a delay on chimney cap/mortar work because of rain but they got us back on the schedule as soon as weather allowed. They responded to messages and calls quickly. The work crews made no mess and were very clean. Have also had them come do a leak repair and waterproof chimney. Will know how that worked next time it rains but they guarantee work, so not worried. I was very pleased with the service provided by TN Fireplace and Chimney. After scheduling my appointment by phone, I received an email confirmation. I also received an email confirmation the day before, along with a phone call. Then the service technician called 30 minutes ahead to let me know he was en route. Upon arrival, he explained the process and how long it would take. Allan and Daniel were very professional, prompt, and thorough. They took great care to be clean and to explain everything. I am shocked at how poor the communication is between this business and its customers. I had an assessment done on June 7th and still have yet to get a quote, a call back or even a catalogue of options. I am not kidding, I have called the office 4 times. A great experience from beginning to end. Heather in the office was great to work with from scheduling our estimate to install. The turnaround time for a custom chimney cap was fast and time expectations were set from the beginning, so no disappointing reschedules! They made me feel completely comfortable with everything that needed to be done. From what they say they come in and fix what others tried to. The company came highly recommended to me by someone I trust and I was warned that it would be expensive.The first guy who came was personable, but treated me as though I was not able to understand what he was saying to me. He countered every question with, “I’m confusing you.” when in fact he was not confusing me, I felt that he was providing indirect responses to my questions. When he left, I did not have a great feeling or excitement for what was coming and actually was a little “let down” after the experience. Most of the information was a little vague and when he pulled out a tablet to show me photos, it reminded me of photos my mother received when she had a colonoscopy. What was I looking at exactly? What was it supposed to look like? What were my points of reference? Anyway, decisions were made. I accepted what they offered and was asked to pay thousands of dollars immediately without being given time to discuss with my husband or consider other options. It just didn’t feel “comfortable.”When they returned to do the work, I was extremely ill with bronchitis. I was weak, unable to breathe and could hardly stand up. Since they did not need my assistance, it was ok.One guy asked me if the possessions in my living room were mine. I found it an odd question, but I responded in the affirmative. He just looked at me so I asked if there was a problem. He then asked if that was the only fireplace in the house or if there were others. I only have the one. Then, he asked me if that was the one where they would be working. I replied, “yes” and retired to my room to lie down (as I said, and explained to them, I was very ill.They were perfunctory. That’s all I can say. The house filled with such an intense smell of paint/sealant/chemical that I had to exit the house and leave the front door wide open for at least an hour. I was coughing and choking and I was concerned for the health of my pet bird. It was that strong.They guy asked me how I was going to pay the balance and stated that the office would contact me. Contact me, they did! I returned immediately to bed and fell asleep. I was unable to talk, because I couldn’t breathe, so my volume was off. When I awoke, there were calls, voice mails and emails requesting money. One voicemail stated that I had not opened my email! First thing the next morning, as soon as I sat up in bed with the intention of reading the email and sending the payment, I already had more phone calls and voicemail. I blocked their phone number and made the payment.I hope they did a good job AND I sincerely hope I never need to interact with them again. I assume they met their obligations so, I will not say anything negative about the services they performed.Am I satisfied, I suppose.Am I happy, noWill I ever recommend them, no.Will I call them again, not if I can find another option.They are expensive, I was warned. They are not pleasant/personable or considerate. They will harass above the level of necessity, if the employee does not collect their money the moment the job is completed. Again, they are perfunctory. They did the job, I paid them. It was in no way a pleasant experience. From the beginning of the process when I requested the estimate to the completion of the job, everyone I worked with was professional, courteous and pleasant to deal with. I put a lot of stock in working with companies that provide clear, easy to understand estimates for work, and I was very impressed with diligence and detail put into the whole process. The individuals who completed the project on my house were very respectful and professional, and the front office was prompt with their communication.
