Build It ATX is a great company that really cares about what they do and client stratification. We had them come out and replace all our wood fencing (baseball field size lot), railing and stairs on the back porch. The stairs get a lot of wear and tear from my two dogs and their nails. So it was important to get good materials and sturdy build. They look awesome and I couldn’t be happier. The project manager was very informative throughout the entire project (which I’m not a handyman so had lots of questions). The crew was great and they even cleaned up some items that weren’t part of the project (old kids broken down playset) for super cheap since they had all the old fencing to dump. That was above and beyond and now the yard looks great!! Would be happy to recommend them to anyone and wish them tons of success!!These photos aren’t the best, but gives you an idea (looks way better in person) :)

We had a great experience with build atx. Fionn listened intently to what we were looking for, provided great suggestions and found ways to save money and meet our expectations for an awesome deck. He provided detail drawings (no other contractor did that!!) and sat with us to review them to make sure we were satisfied with the design. We even made changes that this team accommodated mid-stream with little to no charge. They found ways to keep within our budget and even installed the lights providing us with a beautiful family space that we love and use to entertain and have fun family time.

My husband and I recently engaged Build it ATX to rebuild the three decks in our backyard and were incredibly impressed by the speed, responsiveness, professionalism, and quality of their work. I live in Houston and was sent to Austin by my ministry leader to assist his brothers with a roof, I didnt have any contacts in Austin that I knew in Home Improvement until I contacted Build It ATX and the owner, (Fionn Leonard) called me right back. I was looking for some shingles and I was trying to get a better price for them. We talked about it and Fionn ended up calling Lowe's in Austin, he got me his discount for the material and got it delivered quickly like 24hrs. from the time we ordered them. They were able to book and complete a huge project (400sq ft deck) on a short deadline, and work steadfastly to get it completed for us to enjoy ASAP! I got several bids on building a new privacy fence (when a vehicle accident took out over 150 feet of chain link fencing). Alfonso showed up on time to bid the project, followed up with me several times and was there at the beginning of the project and then met with me before final payment to review and fix any issues I had. Not only are these guys reliable and true to their word, they were communicative, helpful and genuine. The finished product was perfect and the fence looks great, there were a few bumps and bruises along the way but they were upfront and solutions oriented and offered to fix them asap. We had a stellar experience with Build It ATX, primarily because the company is expertly run by Fionn. Fionn and his team did a superb job rebuilding our pergola and patio—we couldn’t be more thrilled with the result. Contractors are usually notorious for being not-so-great communicators, but this was not the case for Fionn. He’s an excellent communicator and it was never a challenge getting a hold of him. He is also remarkably transparent. He sent out one of his project managers multiple times to confirm every detail with us before we moved ahead with the project, and then once the project began, he kept us apprised throughout the entire duration, informing us of any pertinent details along the way and providing recommendations (e.g., noting termite damage on part of our house).Our wonderful experience with this company has made us far less hesitant to consider future renovation projects with our house. Fionn and his team are both seasoned and exceedingly knowledgeable with just about everything regarding pergolas, decks, concrete work, roofing, house siding—essentially anything home renovation related. They went above and beyond to ensure that the final result was absolutely perfect both aesthetically and structurally. We will happily work with them again in the future.

Fionn helped me formulate a rough idea into a tangible build plan he drew up and even went as far as to fill in my HOA application to build this deck. We contacted Build It ATX to inquire about having a plank ceiling installed in our living room, which had 1970s era popcorn texture and some damage that had occurred during a previous electrical installation. The person who came out to bid the job was Fionn, and he was very thorough about our options, as well as being completely upfront about the possible issues that could come up with the job. (Normally the popcorn ceiling would be removed before installing plank, but we were requesting that they simply cover the existing ceiling).The bid came in at about what we had expected and we scheduled the job. We were informed that they were working to finish up a big job they were already working on, so delays were possible. And, in fact, our job was delayed by a few days, but Fionn was communicative about the issues during the whole process.The crew that showed up on the day of was exceptionally professional, very respectful of the property and of us as they were working in our house. They opened a conversation with us about some options we had as to how the installation would be done and were informative regarding our questions. And after they were finished, they left the property completely clean, which can not be said for many other companies.And the ceiling looks fantastic. Their work was very precise, clean and finished. We are tremendously satisfied with the results.Having worked with other companies that are not as communicative, respectful or clean as Build It ATX, I would highly recommend working with them. Reasonably priced, the crew (usually 5-6 guys) shows up every morning at 8, they work hard and work late. Everybody works, they hustle and they do good work. They clean up area each day. All this in 100 degree heat! They have an artistic eye for small details that I greatly appreciated.
